Your so wrong in so many ways. 1) Thinking outside of box? Ivies are exp only, Stealing creation is xp only (i like this minigame though), and now Artisan workshop is xp only. The little rewards that's not xp related are cosmetic. 2) I am not a merchant, and many other players aren't merchants. We play Runescape for the game updates, not the market. And i don't want money, i want a useful item (hint: could be reward from artisan workshop). 3) The minigame is mostly "good" for players who are not 99 Smithing. There is only Cosmetic and Ceremonial swords, and the last mentioned sounds like crap.

I can¨t get past to view my Youtube pages because i have to link the account to email. Call me lazy but i don¨t wanna deal with this because i don¨t see why i should, and this inconvenience could have negative on Youtube. I will certainly be on look out for new video uploading sites. If Youtube does not change this soon, i will probably find a other way to show videos to friends. What do you think of Google forcing you to link your mail to acccount?

I hoped Jagex would be the creativy one, not me. As it's their job.

There is others ways to make Smithing useful than releasing new items for combat.

You say effort is rewarded. But allow me to show you a other perspective. I used loads cash to get 99 Smithing by smithing Adamant platebodies. I leveled the skill to 99 because of Barrows repair and Dungeoneering. Now let's look at the minigame/activity "Artisan workshop". You use more attention and get more exp right? But you can reward effort too in other ways. By releasing new armours/weapons/items for Smithing that gives loads exp. Then players who killed bosses for cash, can use their cash on smithing items that cost alot cash. Effort>At killing bosses Reward>Being able to spend money to smith a expensive but very good exp smithing items. Places where you get earn cash usually requires focus and effort. Instead of cheaper and faster methods of leveling a skill, why not make the skill actually useful?

Jagex used word "Smithing" to descripe Smithing skill. You could also use "Blacksmith" for that skill to be honest. So 3 words to call this minigame: Blacksmith, Smither/Smithing, Artisan >>>>>>Picked Artisan Why? Dungeoneering? Exactly.

I blame Dungeoneering for this bad smithing update. Artisans Workshop>hint: Artisan was used first with Dungeoneerings release. So it gave a developer idea for this crap smith update.

My thoughts exactly. Is another big stupid deserted thing clogging up the world map REALLY what we need? Nope, we don't need this kind of stuff. I HOPE the npcs and clan camp will be useful. Because if there are npcs telling u "how to be a true Pk clan", ill rage.

Laura <3: It's been a while since i have seen a post from you! Glad to see you around, and grats on Fire cape! Deflect killing Jad is the safest way. So if your after Fire cape, i would do this method. You can use veng to speed it up also.

Your point sounds right. It stinks that they do that, but if you punish lurers, then you might as well restrict everything, which would be stupid.

It's not like complaining about someone stealing your monster/spot, because the lurers were not in the world few minutes later when i returned. They crashed lured on me Supreme to get me killed.

Thanks for a nice post TBK. I would like you to add a section about lurers who lure monsters on you. I was at Dagannoth Rex and was trying to earn cash in a fair way, when i got lured on, not once but twice within 10min. Things like this just makes you loose the spirit of trying. I think luring should be punished badly IF POSSIBLE.

Ring of wealth looks promising. And i am looking forward to see how Pirate quest is.

Even if these smithable items can be sold which makes you loose less cash, how does that make Smithing useful?
