Jagex portraying Runescape as ONLY a free game?
I'm sure you do, but i bet that there are alot less players who find F2P fun than P2P. If i were to bet, id say 70% of Runecape prefer P2P. But without real statistics we can't for sure say this or that, but i have seen P2P appeal more than F2P. Just Forum TIF has many of them being P2P.

Jagex portraying Runescape as ONLY a free game?
I am high level, and i have been in F2P big while, and can tell you it's not so fun. As for expansion pack, i know...you don't have to repeat that, i have actually read that part. But that expansion pack is much bigger than F2P, so don't see how Runescape is completely free. Sure the F2P is, and it is good. But is F2P fun after you achieve all? No. Do you get updates for F2P every week? No (It's stated you get updates, not spesifically). Anyone saying F2P is fun has either: not finished everything by F2P or trying to gain respect from community by achieving big goals in F2P like getting all 99s in F2P. And they gain fun from the goals they set, but the leveling of the skills is not fun. So it makes F2P leveling or activities>not fun (If you don't base it on a goal).

Jagex portraying Runescape as ONLY a free game?
I know F2P can be fun to some people, but you gotta admit P2P is alot more fun. F2P is ONLY fun when you take it as a challenge (example 100% F2P), otherwise it's very boring. I have been F2P for at least 2 years. But i take it as a lie saying that Runescape is a FREE game, when like you called it the 'expansion pack' is P2P (and by the way i read where Jagex person said that F2P is not supposed to be a demo). I admit that i didn't think it well through when i said P2P is more fun than F2P. But i dare to say that majority would say that P2P is more fun than F2P.

Jagex portraying Runescape as ONLY a free game?
I have seen this advertisement many times, but i haven't noticed the lies Jagex put them until now. I do not care so much about it either, but i think it's wrong of them to portray Runescape as a "FREE GAME", when it clearly is not. And also portraying that because it's free game, it is very popular (Everyone knows it's P2P that makes it fun). FREE TO PLAY: Yes, it is free to play. But it's P2P that gives access to majority of skills, quests and areas in Runescape. WORLD'S MOST POPULAR MMO: Is it 100% free MMO? No. Is F2P fun once you get most things done? No. Other points in the advertisement are good, but the two mentioned above are not from my view. I think it's lame of Jagex to portray Runescape as a free game, and also portray F2P as being the fun part of Runescape (P2P is fun part). What is your opinion on this? I think they should mention P2P in that advertisement.

Santa Claus Sayings
KK, here how this thread works. You say something about Santa that's supposed to be funny (Pictures and others are good too). Here are mines (and you can use as examples). You know Santa is in the house...when the house starts shaking. You know Santa needs to loose weight...when people sue him for Chimy damages. You know Santa is a thief...when the mouse trap in the house catches Santa. You know Santa needs to wear less red clothes...when a bull's horn stabs him in Italia. You know Santa won't come to your house...when Jim Carry is with you.

Prayer Switching Guide for TzTok-Jad
I wouldn't do it because: Level 22 bats will drain your prayer Level 180 will give you hard time (if your killing with whip). Distance away from monsters - you gotta run to monsters. Take level 90 as example, you run to it, kill it in 2 easy shots. You can do the same with range. Uses energy up. Level 45, will "Recoil" (send damage back) when you melee with whip. However... Dragon halberding level 180s can be done with Slayer helm (It's not bad idea). Dragon halberding Tztok-Jad can be done too, and it's a good idea. JUST BE CAREFUL: Have your energy on "Walk" when you Dragon halberd TzTok-Jad, because if you RUN you will end up next to Jad (His melee field) and he will attack you. You go 1 square step more if you have run on.

She got rid of the NPCS wife/husbands for us, and your planning to pay her back by attacking her?!!!

A Surreptitious Sin
I hope things change for you Laura. But just a question to: you are a girl right? Had to ask to be sure. P.S The Camtasia recording problem i had. It turned out it was Camtasia's fault. They had a box which was for "Microphone", but i thought it was ONLY for microphone and left it unchecked. Turns out you must check it to record sound.

22-Dec-2009 - Christmas Card Competition Results & Clan Submissions Page
Such great drawings, and here i thought i had a chance. What a fool i am. My chances of winning would be 1 in 1 billion. I love watching players drawings, so great job. The lady in Dragon armoury was drawn very nicely. If i have a wish for Christmas, it would be to draw as great as these artists. The ability to think of a image in your head, and then put it into action...is a unique thing. Maybe i will start working on drawing!

USB Mousepad
I need mousepad, and was wondering if anyone knew about a good mousepad brand? I need a USB one, not wireless or the old type of ones. My computer can only use USB or Wireless. I need a decent mouse for decent price (But not high price). Thanks

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
Wait. You started ranting on the racist overtones of the message without knowing any of the relevant context???? :wall: [hide=Really???] [/hide] Whether or not you asked for info about it here, you didn't go looking for info yourself? Like I said earlier, this update was posted right on the RS main page. How could anyone not know about it. I'm sorry, but people who complain first and get facts later are infuriating to no end. Yet it's so easy for you to keep on discussing with someone asking you the link between the black sheep and the quest, but can not do one simple post and answer that question. I could look it up, but it's you who's were argumenting against me using the quest. So you should have answered the link. You fail. And if i was on the same side as you in the short discussion we had, i would have argumented saying "Well the dialogue is not racistic because in the quest there is....this link...and it's about...". But since you fail, you can't seem to approach it that way. Not only would you have made an argument towards what i WAS discussing, but also clarify the link between the black sheeps dialogue and the quest. Simple comment, but i guess since your mind is so simple...it becomes difficult.

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
Merciful and Kaida, noone told me the connection between the black sheeps DIALOGUE and the quest. I asked for what use it had in the quest though...but since it has a use (which noone told me but instead keep discussing...) then i find it all of sudden not offensive (because the use/connection in the quest with the dialogue seems reasonable). I was discussing it IF it did not have a particular good reason for the dialogue. It doesn't. However the dialogue would IF it did not have a connection with the Sheep shearer quest.

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
I do not see a black sheep offensive (i don't like the change, as white is much nicer colour for sheeps). I am just saying how the dialogue can be understood by others. However, i find the dialogue offensive because it can be interpret those ways. I don't really care about the colour of the sheeps. But when i see a dialogue or a text, that can be seen in a racisitic way, i kinda wish it was not in the game. Because it's just not nice reading something, and knowing it can be interpret in a negative way. Specially when the text is unecessary.

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
Or they can just remove the dialogue/or replace it with something else>problem solved. How hard is that...

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
You have not said what use black wool has in the quest (i asked that question, which was towards everyone). Also even if black wool is special, who cares? It's just the dialogue....it just does not a positive picture when reading it. It probably is not meant (and i am not saying it is) to be racisistic, but i find it offensive. The dialogue can be interpret two ways: 1) White people not being special. 2) Black sheeps being special, in other words they stand out from majority of the sheeps. But before you go all "OMG it's just black wool and sheep", i am JUST SAYING the dialogue is unecessary. OFF TOPIC (But racism related): Majority (or is it all?) of the inhabitants of Polliveach in the desert is called "Ali". I find that negative, because that makes me question if Jagex or the person responsible is a racist. The question i ask is "They are all called Ali, maybe Jagex didn't care about this race (and culture) and was lazy and made stereotype npcs. So maybe some racism is involved with that?" But i don't say for sure if it's really racism or not, i just find it negative. Because Jagex could have done more research before dealing with the NPCS. But i don't go "OMG what a bunch of racists!", i merely get a disappointing feeling. EDIT 2: Jagex often does involve the British culture into Runescape, and they have all right to do so (and noone can demand them to involve other cultures). For example, the Clue Fest thing, it had with a British serie did it not? And also the women in the Lunar Isle , Ms Boquette or something. That is from a British comedy serie which i find funny. But when your gonna make NPCs that's not British, but from a other culture, at least do it properly. Just look at Polliveach, such a stereotypical city of Runescape.

Black wool and and sheep is cool. But don't you think the dialogue is unecessary?

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
They are round here, we have a 'spring holiday' and, to prove a point, rather than having a two-week holiday with Easter right in the middle, one year they had it a week after Easter to prove a point. Ridiculous really. Also, the fact that people are offended by the dialogue is ridiculous, it's "special" because it's different. The fact that being black makes it different is just a coincidence more than anything, but it's a coincidence that people are annoyingly going to take the wrong way. The sheeps are black, and when you try to shear them it says "They are special, try shearing the white ones". It's offensive to me because i don't see a good reasons as to why this dialogue should be there? Is there a good reason for this dialogue? If so, what is that reason? I find it totally unecessary and don't see how it's related to the quest. And knowing that there are players who don't do quests, i bet they will find it offensive. Black sheeps are fair, but when you add a dialogue like that to it...then it's all of sudden negative (even though dialogue states that the sheeps are SPECIAL).

Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
It's the dialogue that's offensive, not the colour of the sheeps. The farmer wouldn't like you shearing theses special sheep. Try the white ones. My personal opinion of the colour of sheeps being black: It looks horrible, but like many have said there are sheeps that have the colour black so it's not a big deal.
-
Black Sheeps in Lumbridge
I hope your being ironic  Nope racism works both ways. Look at the dialogue you get if you try to shear a black sheep The farmer wouldn't like you shearing theses special sheep. Try the white ones. It could be taken that the black sheep are either superior or inferior to the white sheep as the black sheep are special. Either way your calling one colour of sheep superior or different to the other and treating them different = racist. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I guarantee you someone will take it as being racist. The same way pretty much anything you or say can be taken as racist. Oh my god. I did not pay attention to the dialogue! That HAS to be removed. It's really offensive from my view. What idiot made this change... Good job Joe with making me aware of it  To everyone argumenting that it's not racists: Even if it is not meant to be racists, it's cleary offensive. In a game there is clear boundries that you should not cross, and in this case Jagex or the person responsible for the dialogue text, have crossed the boundary.

It's obvious what it is. Jagex is working against racism, so instead of white sheeps running around inside fence they have placed some blacks ones too. Good job Jagex!
