  1. Hey everyone, As I'm getting ready to finish up 99 cooking I want to move on to being working on 99 crafting. However, I've been away from the game for just under a year and I was wonder what are the best options for training it, in terms of both xp/hour and gp/xp I have about 50m cash to blow if necessary. Many Thanks in Advance
  2. AMG ITZ 2DAI!!!@@@!! in all seriousness... whenever it (t trails) does come out should be pretty awesome, with or without the graphics update EDIT: Photo is original, i just lightened it up with photobucket
  3. I like a challenge once in awhile... does the dragonfire shield protect you from their breath? I know it said to use an elemental/mind shield but I was curious about the other option
  4. Well i just got my first task of Skeletal Wyverns and I have no idea what to do :wall: . I would like to know what the best method is to kill them as well as the best setup to do so Thanks in advance for any help :-D
  5. Probably shoulda mentioned this is the first post but I dont have full void and absolutely despise PC. Is it really worth getting if i struggle to make it through games?
  6. So after trying to find out what I'm going to do with my recently acquired 40m I decided on getting 99 range. I want to go through it at a pretty quick pace, which is why I've chosen to chin to 99. While I do enjoy the skill I rarely did it outside of slayer assignments, and even now I only use it when absolutely necessary. So the question that I'm posing is what is the best setup to chin to 99? Also if anyone has a recently updated guide for chinning that would be great
  7. alright so humidify wouldn't be needed?
  8. I just received desert strykewyrms as a slayer assignment for the first time and was wonder what gear i should use. The only thing that i know i need to substitute for is an enchanted water tiara. I already have this replaced with waterskins and humidify on lunars. Other then that, i need a basic gear setup and what i should have in my inventory. Thanks in advance for any help
  9. I did this awhile back and was making close to 1k profit per potato. It isn't a great money maker when it comes down to it though it really is alot of work. It takes awhile to prepare everything and butter isn't easy to buy. If i had to make a guestimate I would say 200-300k/hour max
  10. i agree but I'm not a huge fan of god swords. The massive hits are quickly dismissed by lack of speed IMO. But yeah rune defender definitely speeds things up. Also the reason I am even considering buying a DFS is for the fact that my block list is nothing but Dragons- Mith, Steel, Iron, and Blacks- the main reason being for this is the need for potions as well as the antifire shield. I have no problem leaving them on there, I'm just curious as to whether or not people think they are worth doing. Also I should have mentioned this in the first post I pretty much have an ideal slayer setup with whip, rune defender, full bandos, fury ect...
  11. So after a short break from Runescape and keeping money in the coffers at MTK i finally saved enough to buy a DFS. But after looking further into it i realized that a BSS is a rather cheap substitute. I guess what it comes down to is this: Should I invest in a DFS or just go with a BSS? for anyone wondering i already have a rune defender. This is more for tougher slayer tasks/boss hunting Also for those curious my slayer setup is full bandos, fury, whip, rune def, slayer helm, d boots, barrows gloves
  12. Not everything is about money in this game. Some people like to actually enjoy the game rather then grinding for money or exp. On that note congrats! its pretty rare to get such good rewards in such a short span 7/10
  13. No, you only need 40 to get into the boss's room to fight them. That goes for all the GWD bosses. You do need a mithril grapple to get into the eyre and kill those there. Wait, o.O so i can't just fight the avi's right off the bat? because i don't want to fight the boss at all. Yes you can go and kill them right away, either inside the eyre or right outside of it. Like cpt said, you only need 40 kills to get into the boss room.
  14. Hopefully he found his setup by now, this is a 2 and 1/2 year old topic
  15. I looked into this as well but it is only compatible with windows while I'm using a Mac I also should of added in the OP that I'm just looking for basic editing functions, nothing too fancy really. GIMP has been working pretty well for what I'm working on. Also, thanks for the help everyone
  16. All right thanks for the help everyone, I'm going to give gimp a try and see how it works out
  17. Hello Everyone, I recently just purchased a Macbook Pro, and after awhile of messing around with it, I noticed that it doesn't have a default photoshop or picture editing program (unless I'm missing it somewhere  ). So, my question is this: Does anyone know of a free or relatively cheap, yet decent, picture editing program that is compatible with Macbook's? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance
  18. Before I got a credit card I would go to a grocery store (Giant Eagle, Walmart etc...) and buy prepaid visa gift cards. You have to pay the same amount as if you were paying with a regular credit card, the only downside is that there is usually some sort of activation fee. Still, better then paying $11 per month by phone and you can use it for more then 1 months membership. Hope this helps out
  19. I was thinking about that. What about a sara sword or zammy spear, possibly a DFS?
  20. Hey everyone, I'm currently working my way to maxing out my combat skills using slayer. Right now I'm working on Defence and plan on getting it to 99 before I start the others. I've been saving up, and between drops from my tasks, and Manage Thy Kingdom, I have about 20m Cash right now. Within the next week or so I plan on hitting somewhere around 30m so my question is this: What would be best to buy to help me reach my goal of maxing out my combat skills? I plan on spending it on some item(s), not a skill per se (although I will be spending some on 88 summoning once I get the charms). Please note: I already have full bandos, whip, and a fury. would possibly be willing to sell bandos, but the whip and fury aren't going anywhere Any feedback is appreciated :)
  21. I camped at dustys when summoning first came out for charms and the slim possibility of getting a d chain. Anyways its really not that tough to camp down there: heres a rough setup for you. Head: Slayer helmet > facemask Torso: Bandos Chestplate > Torso > Dragon Plate > Dragon Chain Legs: Bandos Tassets > Dragon Platelegs > Rune platelegs Shield: Rune Defender > Dragonfire Shield (bit of an overkill) > obsidian shield Amulet: Fury > Glory > Strength Ring: Berserker > Warrior > Wealth Gloves: Best RfD Inventory: 1-2k natures, mud staff, lava/fire staff, chisel (for the gems), teleport, and the rest in food. Your main means of healing is going to be bones to peaches, so your going to either need to unlock the spell or buy/make a ton of tabs. I recommend unlocking it to save a bit of money, but it does take awhile. While I was down there I would start off killing them normally and as I ate I would pick up the bones. Once you get a full inventory of bones cast the spell and repeat. also cut the gems for the small bit of crafting XP as it does add up after awhile. Good luck With your trip to 99 \:D/
  22. Out of curiosity which garden is going to have the teleport portal in it?
  23. (Not sure if this belongs here or in tech and computers. If it's in the wrong place please move) I was wondering if anyone knew of a good microhelper that is compatible with Mac. I used to use swiftkit on my pc, but its not compatable with Mac, same goes for the one here at tip.it. If anyone has one that they use or know of, and its safe please let me know
  24. Very well done =D> uncut onyxes are going for insane prices on the street though OT: Very good read. It is a good place to train for medium level players such as myself. I find myself down there training from time to time just to break up the monotony of slayer every now and then and it really is pretty decent income. Other then the fact that onyx items have skyrocketed (the gem itself, fury, and ring anyways) i think it's a great idea for some future items. It gives the medium, and some higher, leveled players a reason to go a place that was basically deserted until they changed so players couldn't sell anything to the shops anymore to buy an onyx easily. Its a great idea to bring some popularity back to the deserted towns such as Port Phasmatys and Rellekka. Definately send to The Times
  25. I'm not a 93 slayer nor do i have a firecape yet, but I don't think that the requirement to have a firecape to kill them is unfair. If you can "grind" to 93 slayer then you should be able to spend a couple hours to get a firecape. However, since they did say they were going to change it, I think they should do one of 2 things: 1. They should either make very few (maybe 2 or 3) available to kill outside the area they're in now that don't drop staffs. Or... 2. They should allow those without a firecape into the caves to kill the icewyrms, but with a significantly lowered drop rate of the SoL and reduced damage done to the icewyms. Just my take on the issue though <_<
