  1. Got any weird extensions on Chrome or something? It shouldn't effect it, but perhaps disable and re-enable extensions to see if any trigger it.

I'd want to go with an automatic, although I haven't even driven either one yet. Just seems like less of a hassle. My dad drives a stick though, so if I get his car (he goes through cars fast), I'd probably learn manual.

That's how my first couple attempts went. Then it all just went downhill and I always fell asleep right off the bat. Enjoy it while you can.

Yeah, but most guys seem to pretty cool when the person says they don't wanna sign up the first time. And his attitude was pretty stuck-up I guess. Meh it doesn't matter, he was just acting cranky.
  5. Alright, long story short, I traded in a bunch of old DS games to Gamestop, got a lot more than I thought I would, and now I have $181 worth of in-store credit. I'm not much of a gamer, but I have all this money, and I'm not sure what to get. Here's where you guys come in! I have a Wii which I very rarely play. Unless there's some life-changing game that just came out for Wii, I don't think I'd get anything for that. I have a PC, but my computer currently can't handle [cabbage], so modern PC games are pretty much out of the question. Used 360s are only $160, and I'm pretty tempted by that. I don't mind getting things used, even systems. Think that would be worth it? I'd have quite a bit of playing time with the summer coming up. I just don't want the 360 to become outdated quickly, in which case I might just save my credit for whatever new system gets released. I would be willing to put about $50 cash in to get something pricier, also. So, if you were in my situation, what would you buy? And just to make the topic more interesting, what would you personally buy? Thanks! (And no, I don't believe this thread applies to the "suggest-a-game" topic.)

Ha. So while cleaning my room today I stumbled upon my old DS which I haven't played with in like 2 years. So I figured, why not trade it into Gamestop, even if their deals are [cabbage]ty? Plus there was a $25 bonus for trading in systems, it probably wasn't even worth $25 total anyways. So I brought that and a bag of a dozen games with me to trade in. They couldn't buy the DS 'cause the serial code wore off. fml. I figured I'd get like $20 or something for the games, I wasn't expecting much. I ended up getting $181. Pretty awesome. The guy there was a douche though, he kept pushing me to sign up for the Edge card thing with the magazine subscription. "Wanna sign up?!?!?!?! You get __% trade in credit today and a magazine and web contentand10percentoffthegametodayandthenwhenyoubuythe-" "No." "You surrre, man?" "Yes." "I'm telllllin' ya, it's worth it!" "No." "Alright, bad choice." Well I'm $181 richer.

Got my new bed. Summer sleeping should be godly. And I'm ready for it, if waking up at 11 today was any indication.
  8. So wrong. I don't really like a lot of the music that these guy's would lump into either a "screamo" category or Post-Hardcore. It's just not really my thing. Does that mean I hate all music that has screaming in it? Of course not. It's a classification system, that's all. It's got nothing to do with "separating from the masses" and more to do with actually clarifying what a certain band or group does. It's a lot easier to get recomendations for music / talk about music if you don't have to try and lump everything into one incredibly broad genre. It would be like talking about a new truck you got and when asked what brand it is you reply "Oh, it's a truck". There's nothing wrong with trying to categorize certain music from other music for the sake of clarity. But it just seems like a lot of the people that complain about a certain band not being a representation of a certain genre are music snobs like the OP. His complaining isn't so much about bands being miscategorized than it is about the popular bands being "[cabbage]."
  9. It really only seems that the people who [bleep] and complain about bands not being a true example of a genre are the ones who want to separate themselves from bands popular from the masses. I do admit, however, my description of screamo was somewhat flawed, but it usually tends to be the case.
  10. ^ ...wtf are you guys talking about.
  11. A singer who regularly screams = screamo. No need to be a genre-[bleep].

You better have been having this debate while you waited for her to finish making your sandwich. This one wasn't even close to being clever. :-|

Today I overheard a kid on the bus saying that when he was 10 he hacked Runescape to become a purple elephant, and then an admin saw him and "banned him from the server." Lolwut?
