  1. Nine kittens out of ten. Very, very good start, with realistic descriptions. Continue, and maybe add in some action parts this time around. : The whole thing made me want to hum the tune to "Mad World" for some reason...
  2. Seven(Six, actually. One died of shame when it heard your sexist comment -.- ) kittens out of ten. Not too bad of a start, but there really isn't much to judge. Perhaps you'll expand it a bit? For a prologue, there isn't enough descriptions, but there's a lot of good action. You might want to double check your grammar handbook on the number '7'-I believe it's 'seven' and not '7'.(Sorry this may seem harsh, but good grammar is a must have, even the smallest things.) Overall though, it was a fine start. And why is it always the son of Zammorak.. -.-
  3. Umm.. okay I'm totally lost I thought 'safeing' meant when you run from a fight, usually out of the wild and into the 'safe' zone around the ditch so the other player can't attack you, not when you eat. Dang pkers, always mincing their own words... -.- Is this a rant about idiots who eat too much, or a rant about the limitations of magic? I'll comment on both.. 1. Eating too much is the mark of a noob. Although the fight may last longer, these people will run out of food quickly, so just wait until you see them eat like 10-15 pieces(having a good eye for this is a must have, as well as the ability to watch more than one thing at a time) and spec away. These people are the exact reason why Edgeville/Varrok pking is a waste of time and money. 2. Magic? I only rarely use it to attack with, for I am way to poor to afford enough runes. Protect mage seems really annoying though.. -.-
  4. I have actually seen threads on the RSOF suggesting such a thing, and I believe the fact that there's just a phenomenal amount of stereotyping(of all types) going on is absolutely disgusting. Forgive me if I made you think I was trying to put members in a bad light, but I have yet to see a f2per bash a member(for being a member)..... You say that we should just ignore it.. That is definitely an option, but I for one think that the f2pers should stand up for themselves and get this problem out into the open. Note there has been stereotyping of all kinds to all people, but I am using F2p vs. members as an example because it's the one that affects the game most directly. I am not trying to stereotype members at all, and not all of them do this- I'm just trying to point out that some of them do, and that this should not just be ignored, because if we don't kill this issue now it will simply get much worse as more people feel it's acceptable.
  5. Very very good I can't wait for the next installment.
  6. Lol.. ..he  :-s -.- Anyway, I totally 100% agree with the thread creator, if you want my reasons juts read my thread lol. Thank you for reviving my topic, thank you for reading, and lets hope this doesn't turn into a flame war. This is a real problem people, open your eyes- bigotry and stereotyping exists everywhere, especially in topics asking for f2p updates. Yes, this is going on, and whether you choose to ignore it or not its your choice. By the way, in all my history of playing members (on and off for two years) I have never been trade spammed in the way you have described, definitely not anymore than when I was f2p. I'm not saying that all f2p isn't(or is) a horde of whiny eight year olds and macroers- they're are people like that out there (on BOTH kinds of servers). What people need to realize is that stereotyping of ANY kind is NOT okay, whether on an online game or in real life. Perhaps you think that it's just a game and your actions won't harm anything, however there are real people with real feelings behind the pixels. To go around attacking people just because they're not like you is WRONG. Maybe they're poor, maybe they don't have the time to devote to members, maybe their parents(if they are still living in the parent's house) are unwilling to pay for members- whatever the reason, IT DOESN'T MATTER! The two groups are basically the same, except for the obvious. If F2p asks for an update, they have every right to express their opinions and beliefs. Don't attack them just for telling the world what they want and such. Wherever you come from, whatever laws you follow, there is at least some kind of permit to free speech on these forums(note I know there are rules about language and stuff, but you get my point.). Discrimination(of any kind) only harms the population and definitely should not be acceptable on these forums, in any way, shape or forum.
  7. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Monty Python references! Perhaps the snake and noob series isn't dead after all!? :ohnoes: : *gives po_ta_toe a cookie-flavored potatoe
  8. Wow transpecies gay..  Is this really teh end of the snake and noob francise!!!111shift+1!!!!1!one!! Oh noes! RIP snake and noob Ah well.. but honestly I found myself liking the blue jay files better than old snake and noob.. Blue J flies is funnier and snake and noob just got too preachy at the end (lol jk) I will be looking forward to this next umm series big time!
  9. Umm.. that's it? Look, it's rather short, more like the first descriptive paragraph of a novel.. A good one though, very umm gripping, but we can't really judge your writing skill based on a paragraph- perhaps you could expand this and give it a plot?
  10. I seriously laughed my #@!# off at this... So who's writing this story anyway... Archimage or Ratchet?
  11. Be quite? I hope you mean quiet. The placement of the "e" makes a very big [bleep] difference. Just like leaving the "r" out of shirt is a very different word. This is an unorganized bank? Wow, it is a train wreck, where the hell are the runes. Is this really all the space you guys get..?! Yikes... Well if you really need more space just wear the rune armor and smelt/sell the ores..... But still this is just plain pathetic -.-
  12. Lol very good : , although I feel a little sorry for poor BlueJay, you like completely dismembered his character (canibalism?! what next..) lol it looks like he really could care less... as long as it's funny
  13. heil?! Reference intended or unintended? o_0 Btw, your story is coming along great (It's absolutely hilarious! :XD: ), although just a tad too unnecessarily violent in some parts.
  14. I stand corrected, -.- but don't think that because I think it's really impossible to help the macroing situation it means that I don't despise macroers- I do. I loathe them tremendously in fact. If it were possible to kill people outside the wild for one day I would spend that day killing macroers.
  15. I have thought it over all day, and I believe I have come up with an answer- Jagex would make it nearly impossible to have more than one active account. Now, this may sound a tad extreme for all you people out there who have pures, but this is the only fool-proof method for curing the macro plague for good. Now, how would they enforce this? Well it's actually quite simple- each active account has to be tied to a legitimate credit card to be able to log on Note that I'm not saying we should get rid of F2P- Jagex would not bill you, they would just use this number to significantly reduce the vast numbers of macros being created each day. This could also be a better way to enforce permanent bands- they would band the credit card number so it couldn't be used to create another account. A unique number would be needed for each account, therefore this would get rid of a large potion of member's macroers too. However, this would render the use of the other payment methods for members irrelevant, but it's ether this or an incurable macro plague. Only one question remains- would Jagex be willing to cut the dough from the members macros out of their pocket books..? -.-
  16. I said your overzealous high-and-mighty rants against cheating were a waste of space, not to mention your flaming and personal attacks against me. Cheating is wrong, don't do it, but don't act like an [wagon] about it. Which word didn't you understand? I didn't say macroers should remain, I said that they were an important part of the economy. Try reading my post -- I don't advocate them staying, I advocate them being either utterly eradicated or let to run unchecked (as this would wipe them out as well), not treated half-assedly like Jagex is doing. Try reading my very first post again if that was too complex for you, and in the meantime, you can stay off my thread if you can't get over yourself. I'm sorry if you consider this "harsh," but at the moment, my tolerance for you is at an all-time low. Buh-bye! Off-topic- Dude, you really need to take a chill pill, he just misunderstood your thoughts.. By the way, nobody likes to see you cuss, especially the mods.. On-topic- Define "utterly eradicated'- mass IP bans..? But it is possible to change your IP relatively easily, certainly for an average hacker.. Honestly, Jagex is doing the best they can, but even so, there are thousands of bots being created each day.. Just look at the numbers- Let's say that there are, out of all the people who play runescape, 1000 hackers/bot developers/bot users- If each of these people creates/uses 5 bots each day, thats 5000 bots being created/used each day.. Only a handful of these bots will be caught marcoing, lets say 2/10's(Jagex is doing a so-called half***ed job as you say -.- ), so like 200.. Thus, in a week, thats about 35,000 bots- as soon as Jagex bans one, theres always another to take it's place.. It's an unwinnable war I'm afraid, unless Jagex does what they did to Classic- close all accounts to new members for a period of time- and mass ban all accounts even suspected of macroing.. However, these accounts are absolutely worthless to macroers- all they care about is their mains- so Jagex would have to develop trading logs of accounts suspected of macroing, to hunt down the main and kill it  However, if they mass-ban the little noob accounts, they no longer have a way of finding this main and thus he would get away with it without much loss to himself. This is pretty much what they're doing now, but without closing the servers temporally, they just can't catch up to the overwhelming surplus of macroers. Letting macroing run rampant is just like giving up- and a Runescape Deppresion is just going to severely hurt the legitimate players, as well as simply encourage more cheating. If you think macroing is bad now just imagine what it would be like.. Yeah, yeah. I should've just let him be an idiot, but I do so enjoy getting the last laugh. After a quick tally from some of the leading cheating forums... 245,700 cheaters every day, generally with around 3-20 bots each. That's a conservative estimate. :P Exactly, it's an undefeatable battle -- which is why I think the only way to get rid of cheaters entirely is by destroying the RuneScape market -- which won't happen, but is the only long-term way I can see to remove bots / gold farmers / rw traders from the game. Incidentally, Jagex does have a (somewhat ineffective now since just about every cheater knows how to circumvent it) method of tracking the mains of macroers. I wrote a post about it here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=5023647#5023647 Holy... :ohnoes:   .... I had no utter idea.. wow.. Really I was just trying to make a ball park example, but it appears I was so, so, wrong.. If there really are that many, then drastic times call for drastic measures- like you said, destroying the Runescape market. However, simply making sharks and yews cost 1g ea won't be very effective-It would only piss off the yew cutters and shark fishers who fish/cut for a living, for it wouldn't decrease the value of the gold itself, just the individual items-there would still be people buying gold, and thus the macroers would simply move on to another resource, or macro faster and longer in order to still gain a profit (I think you have already said this, but I am too lazy to search the thread and find out). Instead, you would have to find a more direct way to decrease the value of the gold itself- Like, for several months, have a special npc that gives out free mills to all players who talk to him every hour. This would certainly cause inflation, and the demand for runescape gold would plummet because the people who usually bought gold would just get it for free. Thus, the gold companies would simply move on to a different game. This gets rid of a large portion of the autos on runescape, but not quite all of them, because there's still 'personal' marcos gathering resources for their mains and those creating macros for 'programing experience'. Perhaps both methods could be used in conjunction? Maybe, if botters decide that running macros is harder than simply buying the supplies on their mains for 1g ea... But would they still find an incentive to macro even after that? I really don't have any idea-you obviously know more about the macroing community(if there is such thing -.- ) for obvious reasons  After all this.. there is still the immense problem of fixing the economy, and who's to say that the bot companies wont simply come back after it's back to normal... :wall:
  17. Everybody has like 99 fletching these days.. I see like 5-10 of these skill capes each day.. ^Same thing with cooking and firemaking, except not nearly as bad

NO I WONT be your gf, your might be a 40 pedo with nothing better to do than fantasize over pixels.. I DON'T CARE if you think I'm hot, in fact I am kinda creeped out by it. NO I WONT buy you a steel battle axe, and I don't care if you call me a noob because I won't DON'T follow me around until I buy you one. 20. I support, 100% Btw, the pic's a little messy... but anyway, it's a great idea
  21. 1. If you're going to attack him, don't post here, this post isn't a chance for you to make pot-shots at him for cheating. He stopped, and owned up to it, there is absolutely no reason why you should come in and say something like that. 2. last time i checked, disagreeing with people isn't flaming. Don't get all "MeEH YOU DON"T OWN ANYTHING! U DIDN"T BUY IT! BLAH OWNZ IT" on us...it doesn't give anything to the discussion, it's just kind of annoying. All he's doing is commenting on what people say. 3. Thing is, we have pleanty of these randoms, and they are effective against these low quality bots. We don't need more of these "random" suggestions, that would seem to work, but don't. I don't know much about macros, but i know they do have the ability to easily recognize colors, and can script things for randoms. 4. Yes, the macros won't stop...cool, we agree. Except there was absolutely no need for you to flame him like that at the end. You flaming him like this, is the EXACT equivalent to say...an alcoholic who has come out with his problem, and you ranting about how people like him ruin life, or even someone who is gay, coming out, and you taking the opportunity to say how bad they are. 5. Huzzah! You didn't say something insulting! Woo, agree. 6. That is extremely unacceptable. Did you not read: ? Guess not. Why do you have to assume that he is an awful person, and hacks people. Why do you have to assume that he is such a bad person, for disagreeing with people. Short answer: You don't. Overall, i think i'd be pretty steamed too if people blatantly say i hope you get banned in my thread, that doesn't have to do with that. I think this is a very good post, and well thought out. If i actually may make a comment of my own, i'd say that i read once somewhere on how jagex bans these macros...They register the accounts that use illegal 3rd party software, via their programs, and flag them. Then they come back and ban them. I agree with whoever said this in saying that it would make things a lot easier if they just auto-banned them. Though i'm not sure this is the system, and if it is, that's probably pretty tricky :XD: Sorry to Uno if i came out somewhat harsh possibly, but some of those comments were out of line. ~Dalcyte Perhaps I was a little harsh, and i apologize for being so uncivil and flameing people... (I get a little rabid about people who have/had used macroers  ) But my main point is, that marcoer will continue to macro, and they will find ways to macro, no matter what kind of technology Jagex implements. Causing some sort of a great depression will only hurt the business of the still legit player who play this game.
  22. snape in full arim's o_0!?!? You should probably use actual player models for the death eatersx next time, it whould make the fake look alot more realistic other than that, I love it, Harry potter ftw :)
  23. Wow i hope you get Perm banned  Your saying kill the economy.... Basically saying lets make a Runescape great depression....... :-k Also the Real world item trading thing might work by putting a filter that doesn't allow you to trade more than 100k without anything in return also filter multply trades of money in a short amount of time. The filter will lock the account immediatly. Then examine it for Real world items trading. This might cut down on donations but not many people donate more than 100k. Also Gold farmers are hard to deal with and Jagex would have to make a "deal" With chinese Gov't which will not happen. First of all, try actually reading my post instead of making another worthless waste of bytes clogging up this thread. Incidentally, if you had strained your truly superb intellect a few syllables further you would've seen that I am an ex-cheater. As you have obviously not taken the time to read my second post, I'm not going to bother with responding to your first completely ignorant and repulsive exclamation. Putting a filter on trades would do nothing but infuriate actual traders while doing nothing to actually shutting down real world traders, as they can easily trade through other means. In fact, more trusted traders who have been around for a while now force their buyers to stake them for the GP they're selling, and then deliberately lose to them. As of yet, I haven't heard of a single person being banned for real world trading that's used the staking method, so it's obviously not all sunshine and daisies on Jagex's end. Gold farmers exist. Live with it. If someone wants to powergrind to make a few GP, there's not a whole lot you can do. None of your disgusting comments change that. Thank you for wasting my time. How do we even know your a so called "ex-cheater"? I agree with this dude, I hope all your accounts are banned you hacker puppy! :x And btw.. who died and made you king(queen?) of the world? You go around attacking people for posting on "your" topic when it's not even your forum (i.e this makes it not your topic but Tip.it's) -.- Back on topic... you say theres no point in leading flax bots to their death and random events are useless.. Well, at least it prevents the lower-quality bots somewhat and killing the flax pickers is simply a way for players to vent their frustration on a common enemy... There will be no end to the bots unless Jagex does what they did to RSC and close the game to new players. No matter how advanced Jagex's detection systems get there will be no end to this problem because of hackers like you who either think they can "train" their Java skills on this game or are so incredibly lazy that they have to spoil the game for others so that they can get stuff without any effort. These hackers will always find a way, no matter what, to cheat. Therefore, as long as human greed and laziness(this includes not just the hacker puppies but the Chinese sweatshop owners and the noobs who buy gold from them) exists, then this problem shall persist. Thus, I see no end in sight my friends unless Jagex can really kill off all real-world item trading and ban all the hacker puppy's mains. So, off-topic, scorpia or whatever your name is go find a poor noob lvl 10's account to hack and stop harassing people for expressing their opinions.
  24. Back when I was only lvl 40ish, I had just bought a nice new set of full addy(my best armor) that I had to kill like a 100 hill giants for when this guy comes up to me and says hell buy my armor for 100k. Im all like omg, ill be 70k richer with basically no effort. So I trade him and all went well until I tried to buy a rune b axe with the money... :wall: Also, I was pking with my rune armor when this guy asks me if we could team together, and i say yes. Then. he gets his mage friend and says were going deep but ull first have to skull and i say okay(i had no idea what the little skull meant back then :( ) So, i hit him and i skull and then the mage binds me while the guys double hits me with his dds(p++). I say wat the hell stop but they just laughed at me so I died in like 2 hits.. dang bsers...
  25. my favorites are- -murder mystery -recruitment drive -fremerik trials -A tale of two cats -romeo and juliet- very funny -plague city quests -recipie for disaster basically, give me anything with a good puzzle and ill be happy :XD: the worst quest ever- Icarin's little helper- I only had like 27 agility when i did it, so i kept falling into the flipping pits over and over again, :wall: and I lost like 3 cats when I attempted the sphinx's riddle (one was an overgrown cat that I was particuarly fond of :( ). The boss was way too easy, but the storyline was okay, just a little short.. Overall i was very happy when i finally managed to finish that quest...
