  1. Fist of Guthix to buy Swordfish gloves for when I spend some time on f2p and save some money. :)
  2. I have 3 email addresses for it and I can't get into any. Is anyone else having any problems or is it just me? I got a scan going on my computer and not logging into RS just in case. -edit- I'm able to get back in now, but I did discover a few low threat trojans on my computer, but they're only harmful if I'm running a really old version of Java, Still wondering how they got on there, but oh well, gone now.
  3. My GS was really easy to get. I just put a load of GP into the GE and hopla. I was the owner of a GS. No effort required. Well, if that's the case, they soon will be equally difficult to obtain by simply buying them. People thinking that they should be comparably equal in difficulty of obtaining them as a drop though sucked. should something of similar value not be of comparable difficulty? Otherwise doesnt it outdate the more difficult one? I don't really find them comparable, but that's just me. Also, my quote in your sig has a typographical error. at least to the stuff from zammy amd bandos boss. but what did i mess up on your quote? The word "their."
  4. I know, but when we started talking about Wonka I thought my idea fit better into that. Generally speaking, the trip would be the best part of the package they proposed.

  6. It turns out that next year I will be eligible for Social Security. That is if I decide to go on some disability, which considering I probably could qualify for. Now modesty forbids telling you exactly how much I have paid into it, but seeing the amount of money I have contributed and will never get back due to it going bankrupt in about 10 years. :wall:
  7. Well it's good to know that Jagex isn't doing anything that directly helps, advances, and puts money in the pockets of merchant/manipulation clans. Oh wait... -.-
  8. Yeah, I think a lot of people will spending it on skills that can be trained regardless of other people. Summoning, Agility, exp. And these skills that are expensive and boring, if they want to change that need a rebalance, not a free experience weekend.
  9. Abyssal charms = abyssal lurkers, leeches, and titans Obsidian charms = lava titans, spirit tz-kih, and obby golems You may be gathering the wrong items ;) No, wrong name. I need Obsidian Charms. That's what I collected. Viral, yes they are. Jagex isn't happy enough devaluing GP, they have to devalue experience as well. What a crock. :(
  10. No, the Runescape Membership cards that you can get over here at Target or 7-11 stores. Oh and the ones you get from the online store. Let's say 10 of the one month and 10 of the 3 month cards would give you lifetime membership when you enter in the code. Mod Wonka. :P
  11. Uh-oh, someone saying Jagex and all their updates aren't awesome and he's "whining." Kill him!
  12. Give me the choice between a trip in England and a free lifetime membership, I choose the trip anytime. Oh, and STOP saying that everything Jagex does is wrong. Women complain, it's what they do best. What do you think the odds on winnng would be? 1/30,000? And guys are only good for moving around furniture and going out and picking us up feminine hygeine products. I don't know what the odds would be, but if they announced it, I bet they'd get a good jump is sales of those cards.
  13. Very likely, especially if they decide to beef up FT3 to GM status without really changing the overall structure of the quest they already have formed. Emilee did say it had a very complex combat aspect. Another Mod told me that was one of the reasons it got bounced back to the dveloper twice from QA instead of the usual one time for fixes and feedback.
  14. Yeah, that's a huge conspiracy.... Maybe they want to get people around so that they are here to see the new skill... It could come out on the Monday after that. Or just for the fun of seeing a lot of people at training spots.... Or to give people a chance to raise costly -or boring- skills up faster. I want it to be a huge conspiracy. I want them to have an ulterior motive. They're not good reasons to be doing this, but hell it's a reason. And some skills are meant and were designed to be costly and/or slow. Now is the hardly the time to do this, and if they're so so concerned about them being expensive or boring, they need to rebalance them, not just double your experience for a couple of hours one weekend.
  15. There's only two new dev blogs, which isn't uncommon. We usually get them in pairs it seems. I agree with Mod Mark's account of what a GM quest is. Interesting blog, and one that I hoped would shut people up, but I guess that was way too much to ask for. Yeah, there's a shock... <_< I know what a GM quest is, I just am a little saddened over what it could have, and *should* have been, if they stuck by what they said initially. And from the way the Big Ticket thing was posted on here I thought it was a Dev Blog. That was my mistake. Can we move on to something else though? Why did they post that blog today? No one has really been talking about GM quests or Nomad. That blog would've made more sense if they did it shortly after they released Nomad. Anyone else think that another GM quest might be coming out? Maybe another short one so they put this out early to try and shut people down premptively?
  16. Give me the choice between a trip in England and a free lifetime membership, I choose the trip anytime. Oh, and STOP saying that everything Jagex does is wrong. Well, I was simply saying as far as the idea of Wonka Tickets go my scenario is a little more closer to the original. And I don't think everything they do it wrong, just a lot of stuff for the past year or so.Oh, and before you can tell me to leave then, no. I've spent enough time on the game to just pack and leave like that. I am seriously considering it. I'll see how things go after the new skill.
  17. I to swear to some vague notion of a man in the sky, if they start selling things in the game for real life money, I'll murder them. Then again, I'm sure there will be some people saying that it's "optional content" and I don't have to pay for it. <_< I was trying to balance a point with humor. Truth be told this thing is worrying to me as it seems like a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. And JS, I want to know why they want people on that weekend. If they had a sneaky reason, I'd feel much better. Maybe they're trying to max the number of players for a 3 day period for some reason. I wouldn't like them using this experience thing to do that, but I'd like better than the alternative of doing it for the hell of it. I think too many people are blinded by the prospect of free experience.

  19. Why not a few random Runescape Cards that when you buy them and enter in the code you get a Lifetime Membership. That's much more of a Wonka Ticket.
  20. Did anyone else think that the idea of their gradual raising of difficulty is bunk? Are they only talking about skill requirements? They must be because the level of difficulty of killing Nomad against something like The Inadequate or Balance Elemental was a *huge* step up in difficulty and hardly in line with their statement of a gradual increasing of difficulty. And Amus, you'd be dumbfounded by my ability to complain. Also, you assume I was complaining. Itwasn't. It was mild astronishment/curiousity over having 3 of them in a day, when we go for more than a week with none. Guess they wanted to get them all out by the weekend? :P
  21. Which is why this sucks, I was going to get 88 summoning this weekend, but nope, can't do that now =/. Jagex REALLY didn't think this through. Nothing is going to buyable for the next two weeks. Yeah, first thing I did was go get some granite so I could get 83. That way I'll go get Abyssal charms to make Lava Titant pouches. Now that I think about it, fi they're going through with this, I want them to have an ulterior motive. It's better than the alternative which is they're doing it for the hell of it. I want to know who thought this was a good idea and what their reasoning is behind it. I don't like actions taken that don't have an apparent cause.
  22. That has *never* been in Runescape. The games you speak of have had them in their games since they were designed. They created a whole Minigame devoted to giving you double or slightly over double experience in certain skills. We don't feel like complaining. We're criticizing a planned update that we don't like. It's simply a bad idea.
  23. I don't think anybody thought that they were intended to be Special Quests. Grandmaster quests are simply meant to be more challenging, even to the higher levelled players, and they do that very well. The next one will probably be the 200th quest, given that RFD was the 150th one, so we've still got a long time to go yet. Nobody is disappointed apart from you and your made up expectations. Um, not made up. They stated it rather explicitly on the forums,. Sadly as this was well over a year ago you can't find it anymore. They ruined something that they themslves were going to be special. Now, they're ... not.
