I think what kills people about no update week is that they seem to follow weeks of small updates. If they followed large content it wouldn't be nearly as bad because the way it feels now, it feels like 2 weeks with nothing to do.

RS music is awful. Sorry, but it just is. I know they work hard, but it lacks any real oomph to it.

Brilliant! Ripping off the name of one game and the advertising of another...they'll never put it together! Hope that doesn't bring any heat on my "Water of Boardcraft" MMO I'm developing. The main point of the game is torturing people for information. :) As long as you refrain from advertising with pics of semi-nude terrorists you should be fine. Actually you have to pay for membership before you get to see me pointing at a naked terrorist pyramid. :thumbup:

What I was referring to was how godswords and D claws are already so tremendously powerful, that some people are arguing that there is no practical need for any new equipment. I was just drawing a comparison between this and when dragon was the highest and people had the same feelings. But new bosses and stuff came along and the new weapons ended up being pretty properly powerful. The only problem I see, and I am pretty sure everyone agrees with this, is that the current 70ish weapons/armor are already borderline too powerful vs players. If 99 weapons, hell even if 80 weapons, were released, there would need to be some type of innovation that we havent seen thus far which would make the new weapons not ridiculously incredibly OP in pvp. Perhaps this is what theyve been figuring out. Which is why we need better armor and a total reworking of the Defense system.

Sheep are about the GE value, but you could possibly get more for it depending on the buyer. Penguin is about 3M, and Bat is 5M ish. If they want to save the forums, the first thing they should do is to limit posting to members and past members. Sorry, but letting f2p is one of the thing that destroyed the chance those forums had.

Theyre the same THINGS, theyre NOT different. Theyre THE SAME THINGS. A quest IS an event, do you NOT get it??? Your awful posting style aside, the reason they're not the same thing is that the quests can stay after the holiday is over and the events are all for naught. If they stayed around they might put a little more effort into the quests than the events which are rather unoriginal.

And a good thought it is, though since BTS has left the overall quality and depth of updates is down, way down. Hell, I can find better updates by sifting through my cats litterbox.

Hunter, outside of Chins, Salamanders, and Grenwall Spikes is awful, boring, and has little viable usage. I think the OP was most likely prompted to do this, not even by all the crappy updates lately, but I for one like him, am tired of hearing about all the *awesome updates that are coming, but as yet, have refused to come.

Yes, I was talking about Swept Away and Myths of the White Lands. The beauty of the quests was that while seasonal, they weren't really holiday oriented. One issue is that not only are the vents awful, boring, and unoriginal, they're also incredibly short too. It's a waste of time on temporary content. That time could be better spent doing practically anything else.

My personal favorite is when fixing things is now considered a good update, like the multiple runes for Deaths/Bloods/Laws, etc. :roll:

Yes, this year's event was unoriginal, contrived, and boring. Not that I blame them for that. I wouldn't waste time on temporary content either. That's why the quests were such a great idea.

On another note, I don't think we need to consider all the high level content under development. This is should be in regards to released content.

First off, not a rant. This is also not about the new easter event event. Okay, the new Easter event is not what you'd call "original." Basically it's the same thing again. I understand why. It's easy to simply use old code when you develop a piece of content that's only going to last a couple of weeks. This is why Holiday Quests were a great idea. People still had the 2 weeks to complete it, whether they be f2p or p2p and after the two weeks were up, the quest became members. Nothing went to waste. The holiday quests that they did are still there and still being completed. I think that it was a great idea that they have foolishly abandoned in favor of rewrapping old content into a brand new event. What does everyone else think?
