  1. It's almost like you're just out to cause trouble. It's interesting you've removed your stat signature and all mentions of your RSN from your profile in the last 5 minutes, presumably because you knew you were going to try and stir something up? I don't think Jagex are going to ban you, lol. Actually no, I did it before I even knew that he was going to post. I mostly did it for when I have to go under a different name because I get banned for using an adult, if not profane word, on what is apparently a kid site. <_< And like Qeltar said, you guys are being rather hypocritical. Tell you what, be "Just about the Gaming Experience" and we'll be "Just about the community experience."
  2. Oh yes, thank you for telling us what belongs on our fan site. So glad you could set us stright. [/sarcasm]
  3. I wonder if this means they'll pull their game off Miniclip as it also advertises and hosts other games? :geek:
  4. A 30 day evaluation? What are we, new employees?
  5. i've flushed things more entetaining than MA.
  6. A haiku for Bored. Looking for Logic In banner ads at Runescape Pointless endeavor.
  7. We know what the heck just happened. It's called "bullcrap."
  8. Ah, okay. That's better. Now I am seriously aggravated at them. Frankly I'm surprised that Bob isn't rolling over in his grave. It's so bad even Kokomo is emabbarssed by their actions. He can't bear to look.
  9. Jonni, as useless as I think the Community team is, it wasn't my intention to make any J-mods cry. I don't care what methods they use, exerting influence onto fansites is in my opinion wrong. That sums my opinion of all of this. On another note: What's the difference between Jagex and a Catholic priest? At least when the priest screws you he doesn't charge you 5-8 dollars a month.
  10. I understand that, but my point was they are spending time focusing on things that are none of their concern. My issue isn't with the ranking tip.it has. My issue is the how they are using their ranking. How dare they? How dare they use any method, in this case rankings, to exert any influence whatsoever on a fansite, whether it be content, forum posts, or adverts. That is to me a morally and ethically reprehensible action to take. This severely conpromises my opinion of them as low as it was. Oh, and also the fact that tip.it admins aren't allowed to elaborate. Jagex trying to me more open and honest my Russian [wagon].
  11. Someone needs to tell Jagex, worry about your damn game and we'll worry about our damn fan site. Maybe if they had focused more of their resources into making updates that the players of the game actually enjoyed and din't take all of 5 minutes to do then the people wouldn't be complaining as much as they do. Stop spending so much time worrying about that people are saying your game sucks and advertising other games and ask yourself *why* they think the game sucks now and why your new player base number have dropped off. They're so out of touch now with their base you'd think their headquarters would be in Vatican City. <_< ps Better Jonni?
  12. I figured out that bit. I was hoping there was more though. If that's all it is though I'd have to say I'm more disappointed in tip.it than anything else. There's a professional relationship and then there is this. We don't need their approval and we shouldn't go out of our way for it.
  13. I still find this whole affair to be very sordid and deplorable on Jagex's part. For everyone in the past who could not figure out why I liked Runescape and disliked Jagex, here you go. -edit- Jonni, I would be a bit more outspoken, but from DarkDude's post it seems to be more to the story than I know. Despite what people might think I do not try to lash out on subjects I know nothing about. Now if Dark wants to, or is allowed to by his Jagex masters  , to explain the whole situation to us, then maybe I might have more to say.
  14. It was kinda funny when they realized a few days later that guides were everywhere but the two or three big sites and just let it go.
  15. For all intensive purposes as best as I can figure out, instead of using Rankings to grade the fansites, they're using them more as a ploy to control website content. So while not trying to deviate from the topic, Jagex: Stop worrying about fansite support, clan support, etc. Sit down, shut up, and make a good game. <_<
  16. Well, I think the issue is the sheer number of topics/posts. Even good threads fall to page 12 after an hour.
  17. Ha! Suck it Runecrafting! I can make Bloods now. Now watch Jagex release the Soul Altar next week.
  18. Void Ranger is the best armor of the bunch. It's hits high and hits often.
  19. Or maybe you guys could stop being such a bunch of whining babies and deal with something that's been around since the game was created. I don't crash people often, but when I do it's typically because all the worlds are full. Know what I tell people? Sorry about your damn luck.
  20. As long as you don't mind the topic being bogged down by other topics with "gf," "inb4lock," and "fail" posts.
  21. Also, no to Australia because I believe it's 90-95% of them within ten miles of the coat line. Practically no one lives in the Interior.
  22. Apparently the Rebels are pushing for changing the name of the country into something more pronouncable.
  23. What Qeltar said, it's an issue of Geography. Canada and US fall behind because we have so much more area to cover. UK and Japan have a much higher person per square mile ratio than we do and it's much easier to provide them with service and it costs less. Rural America will always be behind on the technology front.
  24. For one thing, it's not a minigame, it's a D&D.
  25. You can have interaction with people without necessarily engaging in group oritented activity.
