Thatks Den, but I was just subbing words using the original beat and melody. :P
-
I have to say that I like how instead of debating people's point some people just say the person's post contradicts, negates, lessens, etc the point trying to be made instead of arguing it. *cough* g00d *cough*

Well, in the Bilrach notes it says that it took him nearly two hundred years or more to reach the bottom. I'm guessing it'll only take around 96 or so years for someone to reach level 120 in this skill.
-
Give them a break man. I mean, they only had two years. If they had to rush it a little I'm okay with it. Everything also looks almost overloaded with detail. I think they tried a little too hard with the graphics and overshot things a bit. :P

You get those, but in the same Dungeon. Daemonheim seems to be the only location for the skill. This, like MA, should've been a standalone game and not put into Runescape.
-
God, could you imagine two years going into a Archaeology skill where we could've dug up stuff that helped our are skills as well as finding rare, untradeable armor that could've been fixed up for a super high, but one time only price? :-|

And mine has been the acid that burns through the thin skin of the myrmidons.

My skill level is 14. No one really can debate what I say because it's an opinion and I don't really try to debate theres. Howver I don't go around calling people names and insulting them. No I'll leave that to the people that I honestly want nothing to do with. I'm not on tip.it for the "community" because the Runescape community for the mosrt are a bunch of marks that will do what they're told, like what they're told, and believe what they're told and defend all three to the death. I have a few people on here that I like talking to, some that I even like debating/arguing with, but for the most part I don't care about being called a troll or anything else becuase my posts aren't meant for you. I find that Tip.it has this beautiful little ignore button that works perfectly for weeding out the posts of people that I don't want to see. If you don't like what I have to say, I highly recommend it. Otherwise, for all intensive purposes, Zark off! Thanks Mono. There are aspects that can be liked. The humor, the originality, the opinion. You don't have to like them all to appreciate another.

Not every negative post is counted as trolling, but the only thing I've seen from you (and few more users) since I joined is negativism. And as you can see that's more than 4 years ... And TBH I've watched the forums maybe ~1 year before I had to register to ask something .. So its like 5 years ? Most of which was filled with negative posts. Odd because I think I posted all of ten time in my first 5 years here. I only really began near the end of '08. And to anyone who thinks I'm a troll, look the the word "curmudgeon" because that is what I am. Immature and childish? How? I took an existing song and tried to make it funny and critical. I was bashing Jagex, but in a good natured way. I wasn't stating my absolute opinion in song. I've gone into detail about why I think it sucks. I made up an amusing song that says it sucks. I added most parts to just fit the general rhyme scheme of the original song. You don't like the song because it contradicts your opinion of the skill. You aren't able to make an objective opinion on it, you also don't like it because I did it. Fine, call me a troll. Everyone can? I'll tell you straight up you really don't know how little I care. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, I'm not quitting the game, and I'm going to criticize every crappy update that they lay on us. Troll life what what!

I do agree that WOW focused more on team oriented aspect as a game on its own. But it would be pointless for RS to release another soloable grinding skill. Even thought I really like doing things myself, but at least this will offer more variety compare to all other skill so far (not to mentioning training all other skills as well). After all, its only one skill that share the same similarities, majority of the skills still belong to a genre of their own. At least try the new skill yourself to see if you like it or not. Depend on which direction the overall game is going, you can play along with it, or disagree with it, or just walk away completely. PS: I don't like the new skill myself because it needs a group (reason why I never try WoW in the first place, too much meeting and clan dramas I heard), but at least I am going to give it a try before I superficially judge it and generalize it. (At least I should be able to gather up some RS friend for fun in game activities) I have. I don't like it. So basically if anyone says something you people don't agree with it's trolling? Every bit of criticism, sarcasm, or joking is also trolling? I can't figure out which stupid word is used more and annoying, trolling or failing. And oh yeah, I said specifically that even if you don't agree with the song, it's not entirely my opnion. I was just coming up with whatever I could to make it all fit. I don't have everything. And everyone, shut up about me not giving it a chance. I've given it a chance. It still sucks.
-
Even if they don't agree with it, the parody song is still halfway decent I thought.
-
Can anyone even acknowledge if they liked my parody song?
-
I didn't do the whole song as that would've taken forever. This isn't all how I feel, was trying to come up with something decent. I think it's funny, but meh. A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that Game used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those levels advance And, maybe, I could something new for a while. But 2009 made me shiver With every update they'd deliver. Bad news on the homepage; RSOF'ers voicing their rage. I cant remember if I cried The Jagex idea pool completely dried, But something touched me deep inside The day the Runescape died. So hi-hi, awful Daemonheim. Took a Glider to the fighter, In the desert so dry. And them good old members were downin' pills of Cyanide Singin, "this'll be the day that I die." "this'll be the day that it died." Did you think it was a skill you'd love, And did you have faith in Jagex above, If the Q& A's told you so? Did you think you were on a roll Did you think you still had a soul? And did you that that we're all real slow? Well, I know that you're in love with it Even it's not a money pit. You use all you're computer tools. To make all your players feel like fools. You're were an awesome Britsh buck But deserve incarceration for how bad this sucks, But I knew we were out of luck The day the Runescape died. So hi-hi, awful Daemonheim. Took a Glider to the fighter, In the desert so dry. And them good old members were downin' pills of Cyanide Singin, "this'll be the day that I die." "this'll be the day that it died." Now nearly ten years you've been on your own And wallets grew fat on this rolling stone, But thats not how it going to be. When the Content team sang for King(Andrew) and Queen(Paul), As about an awesome skill they'd just seen. And a voice that came from you and me, Oh, and while the Gowers were still around They gave the game over to a clown. The community was adjourned; No verdict was returned. And while MHL read a book by Groucho Marx, The RSOFers rioted in Falador park, And we waited for our interest to spark The day the Runescape died. We were singing, Hi-hi, awful Daemonheim. Took a Glider to the fighter, In the desert so dry. And them good old members were downin' pills of Cyanide Singin, "this'll be the day that I die." "this'll be the day that it died."

I'm thinking up a parody song. Will be here shortly.

Something else I want to bring up. How in the world will Penguin Points or Tears of Guthix be of any benefit to this skill? Having a certain level in the skill is close to pointless because the skill is all about generating Tokens. Experience means next to nothing.
-
Fair enough, i thought you hated all aspects of runescape lol. If you dislike this new skill I'd just keep it at level 1 it's not for everyone thats for sure. I know, but I was really, really looking forward to this. I can't even begin to convey my whole disappointment in it. I'm not touching this thing until it's fixed, tweaked or whatever. If they make a quest requirement I'll probably have to do it too.
-
I'm not quitting because I never said I'm going to hate all future content. I'll probably like a lot of it. That being said I can't take them at their word anymore than a piece of particular content is going to be good. I'll have to wait and see for myself. I can still have fun on Runescape, but the content that has come out in the past year or more has added very little in the game for me to get excited about.
-
What is being said by the staff here is that because both sites get what they want and everything is fine and the ends justify the means.
-
No, I'm not. I don't care if what you did by removing the adverts has any adverse reactions and everyone goes off smooth willy nilly without a hitch. You let another company influence you into making the decision they wanted. I don't care if it's about adverts or anything else. You chose this action not because you thought it was a good idea to do, but because they thought it was a good idea to do.
-
That one of the things that I consider repetitive. Not the whole thing, but quite a few elements. I also think people want to like this skill, and come hell or high water, they're going to. People will probably say I want to hate the skill, but if anyone cares to remember, I always said I had high hopes in the skill and wanted it to be good. I am, personally, disappointed. And as well that now I don't think I'm going to be able to look forward to anything that Jagex says is going to be really good again. I just can't take their word, as far as content goes, anymore.
-
I think something could also be said for creating a skill that is essentially just a mish mash of all the other skills combined.
-
Look, you can find flaws in many of the skills. Fine. Forget the rest and stop comparing the skill to other skills. The skill by itself is repetitive and not fun. How about that? And Sir, odd you said level 7. Made a post last night how most people seem to quit at level 7. For two years to put this out is I think rathe poor.
-
because firemaking actually provides anything (except ashes) It's nice to have low standards. Lets not drag fm into this, their been many topics complaining about the uselessness of fm. God people have griped about that skill since 2003, or at least since I started. Honestly, that is the most worthless skill there is in the game.
-
You know what I mean Dung. At least there are different places where it can be done, and many places where different assigned Slayer monsters are. It also provides less autonomy in that you can switch the creatures up. Placing aside the skill/minigame argument I find this skill to be overly slow, overly repetitive, and flat out not fun. And I only brought up Slayer because you brought up Slayer. Strictly speaking it is a hard skill to defend when comparing to this crap skill.
-
Slayer can also be trained anywhere. Also Slayer allows you to get the items randomly and better items as well as you progress. The rewards from Dungeoneering are not a product of the skill, but a by-product of the skill by a means of reward token. This, as a skill and defined as a skill, is rubbish. But I guess since it's Jagex they can redefine what a skill is to suit their purposes in the game way they went back and redefined what a Grandmaster quest is so they can legitimize quest with as much depth as a children's kiddie pool, Nomad's Requiem.
