  1. Yes, I am Canadian. I'm not a child, though. Swing and a miss. And no, I don't understand the United States constitution very well. I believe I even said so in the "4th Amendment" thread.
  2. There's no "hard limit." You're taking this far too literally.
  3. As much as a lot of people seem to believe, the government doesn't just pick people up off the street and say "I think you-- and you-- and you are terrorists. Come with us." When someone is suspected of terrorism, it's for a good reason. Yes. Oops. "oops"? thankyou for confirming you are an immature prepubescent kid who thinks it's a funny to torture people based on that they might be a "terrorist". Well, what the [bleep] do you want me to say? Mistakes happen, you idiot. I'd rather kill a hundred innocent people than let a thousand die at the hands of terrorism.
  4. I want to know how much that costs. For heaven's sake, of all the things to be spending money on...
  5. Were you responding to something, or just making an obvious comment for the hell of it?
  6. As much as a lot of people seem to believe, the government doesn't just pick people up off the street and say "I think you-- and you-- and you are terrorists. Come with us." When someone is suspected of terrorism, it's for a good reason. Yes. Oops.
  7. You have no empathy for anyone other than yourself. It's truly sad. Why do they not deserve the same human rights as anyone else, especially when torture has been proven NOT to work, and will in fact make things worse by encouraging terrorist recruitment and give faulty intelligence. You base this on the fact that I believe in totalitarianism. I just finished visiting my cousin in the hospital, [wagon]. Is this a [bleep]ing joke? They're goddamn terrorists. They don't qualify as human beings. Everyone cracks under torture. No exceptions.
  8. Pardon me? Am I the one blowing up groups of innocent people on buses? I do not go out of my way to deny people rights. I say what I say in the belief that Life>Freedom. You're welcome to disagree with me.
  9. Anyone else watching this show? I've been following it closely. Good stuff.
  10. In all honesty I'm about two pages behind. I'll hopefully finish up over the long weekend, but there might be more than one compass.
  11. I believe in violating the Geneva Conventions under certain circumstances, for example while interrogating a terrorist. Those people spit on the Geneva Conventions, yet we make sure they get perfect health care and a prayer mat to use while in prison.
  12. Okay, can I stop you all right there? Don't talk about "World War Three." This planet can't handle a third world war. Inevitably, nuclear weapons would be used and ultimately that would bring about the destruction of the world.
  13. From what I saw you guys got talking about torture. Frankly, anyone who opposes torture of terrorism suspects is a moron. There's no way to mince words here. I would rather torture a thousand innocent suspects than let five thousand people die in some sort of terrorist attack. The Geneva Conventions are [cabbage].
  14. Jerusalem belongs to Israel. It's their land and no one else's.
  15. Damned it you don't, benevolent if you do. That's what you meant.
  16. Yes, that's all well and good; he's won the hearts of Palestinians and other Arabs. But what about the Israelis who rightfully own that land?
  17. Anyone who has a brain would justify the war on terror by mentioning how destructive and ludicrously fundamental terrorists are, not by their opposition to Western freedom.
  18. If a civillian showed up while your house was burning and saved you, would you ask them "Who made you fireman?" Read that post again... then edit it so it isn't as ridiculous. Oh, really? Without the United States, a man named Sadaam Hussein (sp?) would be gallivanting about the Middle East, creating unrest wherever possible. Without the United States, a little country called North Korea would run rampant over the world with its new nuclear weapons. A world without the USA is a world with terror.
  19. Then we've reached an impassable point. You can't convince me; I can't convince you.
  20. You hit the nail right on the head there. Well said. No. Freedom is more important than safety. So you'd rather die free than live safely?
