I have no problem with the fact that they're trying to make sure more innocents aren't killed, and I support that goal whole-heartedly, but I object to the means with which they are trying to achieve it. A protest outside Queen's Park is fine. Next to the Parliament buildings? Thumbs up. But blocking the transportation of regular people is by no means the answer to their problems, and it simply makes them disliked. I had no prejudice towards Sri Lankans before they started these protests. And guess what? Now I do. I don't want innocent people to die, and I don't want Sri Lanka to turn into a nuclear wasteland. I do want them the hell off my streets, though.

So basically, the equivalent of starting a thread saying "Do you think all people deserve basic human rights, answer Yes or No, then changing the original post to "Do you think all Muslims should be exterminated" once everyone has posted? I always have a HUGE problem with people who say things like this. I admit that it is entirely true, but he was a delusional megalomaniac and a disgusting psychopath. The horrors he allowed to happen... they're incomprehensible. Maybe it's because I'm Jewish, but I just can't imagine this making sense to anyone. It's like me going up to someone's house, lighting it on fire, and then shooting them as they run out, and then saying "But other than that I've been pretty nice to them..." That aside, he WAS a brilliant leader and should be recognized for that. No matter how megalomaniacal his speeches were, the less Anti-Jew ones are compelling and really suck you in. The Holocaust was also able to take place partly through Joseph Goebbel's genius propaganda technique of "The Big Lie," where the propagandist simply repeats a massive, audacious lie over and over and eventually the public will AT LEAST start to believe it. Hitler was also extremely non-specific about his "ethnic cleansing" until it was too large to conceal. By then, however, all of Germany despised the Jews, largely because of Goebbel. Let's face facts, it was a brilliant system that was extremely successful, but it was used wrongly beyond belief. It's a pity Hitler was so blinded by his delusions, otherwise he would've been a perfect leader.
