Took me about 500-600 tickets for bronze, then about 300 from bronze-iron, from then on about 100 tickets for each from there. About 300 more got me 4 more rune defenders.

Random are NOT RANDOM. They are triggered by actions after a period of time or amount of other actions. Jagex only call them randoms because "Triggered Events" sounds stupid, and they need to make it look like they're making it random.
