Are Atheletes Over-Paid?
They would have to eliminate the Tampa Bay DevilRays from the MLB  Actually the devil rays have a decent farm system, youd have to eliminate the KC Royals, all they have is pitching, no offense whatsoever and if anyone says to eliminate the pirates ill slap them :( the pirates will compete this year

GME: Winner! - Lord Of The Rings 3 (ROTK)
IMHO, LOTR shouldn't have even come this far, OneFlew is a hell of a lot better than any peter jackson movie imo, all his movies are just, meh-ish, i never did get into the LOTR series, *shrug* and he has a new one out, godzilla, why even remake it? Godfather is one of my utmost favourite movies of all time, i loved it, i loved the series, i couldnt get enough of it, thus my vote goes to The Godfather, however i dont think itll win cause we have too many LOTR Fanbois here :\

Are Atheletes Over-Paid?
No, No, and No, your phrasing this wrong your question should be "Are PROFESSIONAL athletes overpaid" College players are athletes and theyre not paid at all. This is why college sports is better than professional sports. Collegian athletes are not driven by the money, theyre driven by the schools honor tradition and how to defend that tradition. Now getting to the original question. Let me break it down like this In baseball, if your arm is good and solid and your pitches have movement, Youll get a big dollar contract. In basketball, if your big, tall, and your jumpshot is silky smooth, Youll get a big dollar contract. In hockey, if your agile on skates and can shoot a twisted wrister, Youll get a big dollar contract. It basically depends on how good you are, thats what scouts are for, they SCOUT your arm, they SCOUT your jumpshot, they know what they see, and if they see a future Nolan Ryan, or a Michael Jordan, and you live up to the hype.....Youll get a big dollar contract (yes i know ALOT about this subject ;) )

R.I.P. Gregg Hoffman
LOS ANGELES - Film producer Gregg Hoffman, who developed an eight-minute film into the horror hit "Saw" and its gory successor "Saw II," died unexpectedly after complaining of pain. He was 42. Hoffman died Sunday at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, where he had been admitted after developing neck pain, his business partners said. He died of natural causes, according to a news release from Lions Gate Entertainment, which distributed his recent films. An autopsy was planned. Hoffman and his partners at Twisted Pictures financed the low-budget films "Saw" (2004) and "Saw II" (2005) and stood to reap millions of dollars. The first film cost about $1 million to make, opened over Halloween weekend last year at No. 3 at the box office, and grossed more than $102 million in DVD and box office revenue. The $4 million sequel, released just before Halloween this year, ranked No. 1 at the box office in its debut weekend with $31.7 million in receipts. It has made $86 million in six weeks, according to box office figures released Monday. The movies center around a sadistic serial killer called Jigsaw who devises intricate games to get his kidnapped victims to kill each other. "We've won the lottery," Hoffman, a former Walt Disney Co. executive, told the Los Angeles Times in November. Hoffman began working for Disney in 1995, rising to become a senior vice president of production and earning a producer credit on the family comedy "George of the Jungle" (1997). He joined Koules and Mark Burg at their management and production company, Evolution Entertainment, in 2003. Soon after, he saw the eight-minute clip about a serial killer called "Saw" and proposed making it into a full-length feature. The original story was by James Wan, who went on to direct the feature "Saw," and Leigh Whannell, who starred in it. "He discovered this movie, brought it in and talked us into making it. He was the driving force behind it," said Oren Koules, one of his Twisted Pictures partners. The "Saw" films' success led to multi-picture development deals with Lions Gate and Dimension Films. Hoffman was working on "Saw III" and "Crawlspace" when he died. He is survived by his wife, Lucienne; two children; his mother; and a sister. While i never saw saw1 or saw2 i have seen GotJ and its always sad to see a famous person go, RIP Gregg

Quite Possibly The Best Hour Of TV Ever
Well, last night about 1AM Est ( yes i should have been in bed, but i wasnt, sue me ), i was flipping through the dish finding something to watch. Saw the usual stuff on... Pron, Game Shows, Sportscenter then i saw something i heard about beforehand on a tv commercial for showtime. A show called Sleeper Cell Brief Plotline: Sleeper Cell is basically a show about an african american entering an islamic terror cell (Now i know we have a few islamic users here, and in no means i am not offending you at all, this is how the show goes). However he's actually an agent working for the U.S. goverment trying to smoke out terrorist cells. The show has MANY twists and turns and i must say it was quite possibly one of the best hours of tv i have ever seen, EVER now, did you watch it? if you do get showtime i URGE you to watch this, however it does carry a TV MA rating (liek hu karez aboot ratings :x ) so if you cant watch it dont try to, however if you can, do watch it, it shows alot about stuff we didnt know, and its a great show 5/5 edit: if this is the wrong forum for tv reviews etc move it to OT however i figured movies/tv could be considered the same thing to a certain extent
