  1. I support. Might help with half the 'offenive language' issues.... and give abit more humour as pointed out. As to where it belongs i htink he's talking specifically runescape.... and runescape suggestion so i'd say yeah in the right place.
  2. I support. I think its a silly idea eating when you are drinking. As to seeing what though i disagree with. Too much time going on, and besides there would be alot of controversy in that area as people don't like other knowing. For example people don't want others knowing they just drank a super strength potion while player killing. The idea of a turn off of it is in one sense an alternative, but in another sense is just an addition for something that could simply be avoided. This topic has been the centre of discussion for ages between people, and i don't see it changing anytime soon as minor as it may be.
  3. I support. It would make it easier for many people. I don't see hwo it would be confusing. I think it would be less confusing then trying to work out if that rock is minable or not, and having to actually examine it close by to work that out. Soemthing simple (Like helpsite maps) eg. Gold = Gold (NOT YELLOW - creates monster confusion) Orange = Copper Greeny (Diff colour to friend) = Addy Blue (Diff colour to same cape) = Mith Black = Coal Cyan = Rune Brown = Iron White = Clay (Don't think there is any clay sources in snow) Tin and Silver would need to be DISTINCT i mean they are bad enough as they are. Just a thought line, change the colour as you will though.
  4. I support the 1st idea but not the exp after killing idea.
  5. Speaking of magical chairs, it happenbed in one player house, unknown world or date. Was funny at the time though. A few guys were at a house party, one guy was one a "magical chair". The main player logged, kicking everyone. The guy on the chair was still riding it around outside. He managed to zip straight into a group of moderators who despite thier laughter ended his chair riding days. Havent seen anything so funny since. One i have heard about is the walking easter egg too. A guy used his ring and wandered around as an egg. I don;t know how they managed that but apparently it too was a good laugh.
  6. If players actually took the time to look at the trade windows (YES THATS PLURAL) and looked around for the best deals, checked current prices, considered carefully what they were buying, and weren't in such a rush, there would be no issues. You can;t force a player who made money fair to give back stuff. So currently there already is a tradeback system called I give you your cash back, you give me my items back. Most players won't do it though. They honestly made that money. How would you feel if i walked upto you and not only showed but gave you 50 million dollars, then oops just teasing or no i think thats not going to happen. This system would be abused so much and so many reports that the system would be disbanded. How would you feel if you were the one who sold your addy for 40k, fair and square, and then no he's selling 30k. I say tough luck! It was made fair and square. You want to retrade back, ask, next option resell the item, next option just deal with it. In all cases infuture take the time to look at the trade windows, look around for the best deals, check current prices, consider carefully what they were buying, and don't be in a rush. I remember the first time i was scammed. I was buying rune scimitar and i got an iron. I never made that mistake again. So no i do not support this idea. I belive those who have this issue bring it upon themselves.
  7. Okay I agree with the idea of a filter to an extent, but I think it should find people using the words you want! I mean you can filter out I don't know ummm... Barrows, but it doesn't stop obby, rune, addy, mystic, cavalier, etc. etc. to occur. If you are looking for a particular item (which is usually why you are in such wordls trying to buy) then maybe type into the filter dragon, ddp++, etc. etc. Therefore you still aren't inputting a thousand and one words to filter and instead one simple word, or maybe a few, to get what you want. As to the (insert item)- --- (insert name) not everyone does this. Often i have seen "Selling rune scimitars" and thats it.
  8. In discussing the "Higher spell" options, then i could alternately argue the release of yew bows and rune arrows. After all they P2P has special bows such as Crystal, Seercull, etc. And all melee weapons upto and including rune are released, so why not arrows upto and including rune? I agree there needs to be a greater range of mage armour however. Let alone the whole "black mage robes" is poorly developed with only a hat and some non-matching coloured "black robe" top. To create black mage you actually have to use priest gowns that beneift magic in no way.... The other thing to consider is the "balancing out of the game." Range as far as i'm aware doesn't have the damage capabilities of mage, but has better defensive qualities. Correct me if i'm wrong.... i don;t usually go out killing much these days or paying close attention when i do. A newer, f2p armour away from the "generic" wizard approach i think would be more suited if it were to be developed. Perhaps the release of mage boots into f2p could work as well, or the ability to trade them in f2p worlds. Furthermore another consideration is currently there is NOWHERE for f2p players to buy mage robes. You can occassionally buy them from a general store or sometime a hat from a mage shop, but thats it. The rest you have to kill for or buy off a player. I don't know i'm coming in at a late timing.... much fo this has probably already been discussed in the 30 pages that i'm not going to sit here and read every bit. Just have a breif thought line. You have well thought this out however and i can see ur side of things as well, after all i was once a f2p member. Hmmm..... tough call.
  9. Ok somewhat new to this whole forum, but i've been thinking about this one and come upon this. I fully support the idea of a music cape. Its not easy in the slightest, however I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have to FINISH all quest, just have started some of them. Maybe i'm wrong.... I think everyone usually gets one time at each random while raising thier skills though i can't be sure. The actual events of freaky forester, drill demon, etc. u won't need to get everything from thsoe events, just have been there once. I do agree that if this has an implication of being too hard it should be taken out. The holiday music could pose a problem, but is it added to the list if u weren't at the events? If it isn't then wouldn't the best thing be to make it for all music green, same as quests. Also occassionally new music is added, eg. The Quizmaster when the random came in. I know its been discussed to exclude randoms (i haven't sifted through all 11 pages) but then you have the new areas that open too, such as when Cold War came. So this change in music just like quests would need to be accounted for. I also disagree with the concept of it being no different then a quest cape. Quest cape deals with quest, but i read somewhere someone has finished the quest cape and still hasn't recieved all the music. Its not just the quests, you will have to access all kinds of places and some of the skills required to get into those places should be requirement enough. I mean no offence in what i say its just an opinion, and i don't know if anyone else has thought or seen this, but the orange music cape reminds me alittle too much of the firemaking cape. In either case though i like the idea of the lyre on the back. Good job guys. Glad someone is making a stand for it.
