  1. Interesting, couldn't you just scale down the Flag, like so: http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/6555/smallflag.png Or is there something technical that I'm missing? :)
  2. From my understanding, Java's form of Reflection would require one to obtain details from a specific object - presumably being Runescape's Applet. Presumably, to retrieve the applet Object one would have to have a Client load it? Wouldn't that infer that to 'hack' these details the suggested victim would have had to download a supposed Runescape 'client' to fall prey to this technique; which would easily be avoided by following Jagex's procedures on Third-Party software. Yes, I can understand that. Within the vast majority of communities which contain software-developers there's always going to be a bit more to look at than just the specific subject. However - you're still limiting yourself. Let's presume from your post that you've been scripting in Java primarily. When was the last time you looked into developing an application in Java to solve a problem? Attempted a project? Etcetera. By learning Java outside of the 'cheating-scene' you'll find yourself looking at the concept of programming with a much broader mindset, rather than simply tailored to problems you may face in Runescape. I am stereotyping of-course, and a lot is based on assumption - but there's far more to be gained outside a cheating community than there is from within one. I digress though; Good luck with your money-making, and I am sorry that you got hacked!
  3. Harsh - but true to some degree. Don't get yourself involved with cheating again, it may have worked out last time, but things are more than likely to go wrong. If you feel the need to automate your game-play on Runescape, or any game for that matter, I suggest you find yourself something else to enjoy your time on. Edit: Reading the above post; It's good that it's for intellectual stimulation, but I'd highly advise learning some other Programming languages and furthering your knowledge of those. They'll have far more practical use for later life than learning how to develop scripts for Runescape. In terms of methods for generating cash, I guess I'd suggest the same as others, Woodcut for your starting-cash supply, seems you can stand that considering you have 99. ;) Afterwards, Green Dragons are fantastic at the current time of writing.
  4. Because it'd be rude to have the world end on my birthday! :P Anyways...I'd have to say I doubt this. I've read that someone mentioned that the Mayan Calendar is more likely to 'clock-over' than simply end, meaning that it was simply a misunderstanding that that points to the world ending? Not quite sure on it, but seems feasible. Certain things do look bad, but I think that's simply our outlook on things as we're looking at them from the perspective of so many theories about the end of the world. Personally I feel that although we certainly have caused a lot of damage, I don't think we're suddenly just going to end - could easily be wrong though! ;)
  5. where does he insult him Original poster states "Gf" in the picture, and also shows a derogatory opinion of the player losing a lot of items. Although not necessarily a direct insult, it's very much implied. Although some people get their kicks from making others loose things - I'm not one of them. Granted, congratulations on the kill if it was you (although I see now it doesn't seem like it was) - but I lack respect for you with the attitude towards it that you've taken. ;)
  6. My laptop's currently away getting repaired, but i'll be upgrading to 9.10 after it's back within the week. Well, may be a new install depending on what they've done with the Hard-Drive! :P
  7. Oh I'd definitely agree with this. The walking to and from lectures, tutorials and the likes, going out shopping etcetera all really adds up! It's great! :P Funnily enough though, in terms of food it's not all as bad as I thought it'd be! I do a lot of home-cooking and i've managed to afford some pretty decent meals and salads, even on a budget of...~£4 a day? <_< Albeit, I don't go out drinking a lot, yet. 1 and ½ months to go until I have that privilege! I think alcohol really makes the costs bump up, something I'll have to try and avoid if I'm to continue managing reasonable meals! :)
  8. I believe the Bestiary lists the HP of the monster; as the amount of Slayer Experience obtained from a monster is equal to the overall HP of the monster, I don't think a Slayer Experience option is really needed, HP value is simply what you're requesting I think? ;)
  9. How do you know that, out of all of Runescape? Heh, nonetheless - great achievement - well done! :D
  10. I believe Ape Atoll would probably be your best bet, fail rate isn't too bad at your level, if you use Summer Pies it'll be even better. ;)
  11. That's what I thought too - could be very interesting. I had the prospect of even possibly different teleport locations for the crystals, namely quick access to the Temple of Light, although I doubt we'll see that. :)
  12. Here's an image of the conversation with the Elven-Scribe about the events during the quest, also included a transcript alternative rather than a huge image. Note: This image and transcript contains spoilers about the quest events, if you don't want to see anything relating to this quest - don't read it! [hide=Image Link]http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/7756/scribeconversation.png[/hide] [hide=Conversation Transcript]Gwir: So the Temple of Light's defences are active - it is secure and the mourners are weakened without them even knowing it. What happened next? Kawoei: Arianwyn called for me once again. Thorgel, a dwarf I met in the temple, had sent word of the temple releasing some sort of energy. It was clear Arianwyn knew this was going to lead somewhere, so, after a few tasks, he was disguised and we went to investigate together. Gwir: Where did this investigation lead? Kawoei: Well, with Arianwyn's insight, it led to me being energised in a similar way to the crystal I used to restart the temple's defences. Gwir: And this was safe? Kawoei: I survived, if that's what you mean. The energy wasn't lethal, but it did somehwat...transport me? Gwir: Transport you where? Kawoei: Into the light itself. The elves who built that temple must have been powerful, indeed. There was a whole other section in there with more light switches. Gwir: So what did these switches do? Kawoei: After I had figure out how to activate the switches, I finally managed to open the massive door in the room. It led to a corridor, which had unfortunately been the victim of a large cave-in. Gwir: Was this corridor still within the light or was it in the real world again, so to speak? Kawoei: A great question. Either it was still within the light or it served as (a) bridge between the Temple of Light and somewhere else. Gwir: What makes you think that? Kawoei: A body - there was a body in there. It was a dead elf messenger who must have perished in the rockslide. The report that he was carrying is where I learned of Prifddinas's fate. Gwir: This I have heard; everyone is talking about it! The revelation that the city was reverted to crystal form...an entire city! Kawoei: Indeed, and right now there are miners working to clear that cave-in so we can work towards restoring the city, once all threats to it are removed. Gwir: That was great, thank you so much. I think that has filled in all the gaps. I'd better get to writing this all up properly. If you ever need a refresher of what's happened, I'll happily tell you everything that's happened.[/hide] Gives you an understanding, without going into too much detail, hope that's helped. ;)
  13. I'd presume tiaras also work for the quest - I had an Omnitiara equipped and that worked without any issues. ;)
  14. Heh, quite true! ;) Experience is always nice, but the prospect of that's a lot better - sequel should be very interesting!
  15. Hehe, I bet! :^_^: Only thing I did was forgetting the New Key for the door...twice! :P Agree with you completely though, simple quest - nice fill in for the story, keeps the interest going. Looking forward to Mourning's End III now definitely.
  16. Pretty decent quest, although kinda short - just a fill in? Anyway, reward: [hide] [/hide]

    You're welcome! :^_^: Here's the frontal position:

Hey, didn't have everything you wanted, but did what I have. Not sure if you wanted full void or just the Mage Hood, put it on anyway. ;) Hope it helps!
  19. I picked up an old AV-Switcher box from a friend a couple of years ago, did the trick perfectly for connecting any 3-pinned (Red, Yellow, White) appliances to a monitor. It had a Monitor-Input (VGA), and 4 other inputs for those 3-pinned appliances, Xbox included, and also had a port to connect the box to your computer, getting rid of any annoying cable-changes. Was very useful! Can't find a link for any around though, which is a bit annoying. Came in handy for lots of things so I'm glad I picked that up rather than just an Xbox cable, I like to steer clear of Microsoft anyway, bit dodgy from my experience. Maybe a local-electronics store could help you out?
  20. This is an outstanding achievement - I hold a lot of respect for something like this! :^_^: You've made me take a look at my account, my playing style and attitude towards this game and I'm seriously considering restarting and continuing my old account. I did try to go for an account like this before, I hadn't heard of them being called DIY accounts, I referred to it as self-sufficiency. I'd love to go back to that account, I think it would be a far more fulfilling feeling and I'd certainly respect the game so much more and everything in it. Are there any chats / clans that you know of that are primarily aimed at DIYers? I'd love to look into this more... ;)
  21. Bumpity! :^_^: I'm now down to ~68k experience to 99-Farming via Vinesweeper. I didn't want to rely on a Calquat growing in time to get the 99 tonight so went all out to make sure it's just Magic trees that need to grow! :) So, given that - back to Agility now! Edit: w00t! Got 99-Farming this evening, blog's been updated, due to a stupid mishap didn't get any screenshots, but may get some off some videos two great friends recorded. Thanks again to everyone that came, was great to see you there! :^_^:
  22. Congratulations on 99 Defence, lovely achievement! :^_^: Good luck with all your goals. Oh, and for the drop-down thingy, I believe you're referring to a hide tag, you can do it with the following code: [hide=Name of Hide Tag] Body of Hide Tag - What you want in it goes here! [/hide] That will give you this: [hide=Name of Hide Tag] Body of Hide Tag - What you want in it goes here! [/hide] Again, good luck and good to see another player back!
  23. Monks are awesome! Good luck with 99-Fishing, great goal to achieve! :^_^:
  24. Had a pretty great day today, got a lot done with Agility, and am now only 241k experience from 99-Farming, w00t! :^_^: As such, I've planned 99-Farming for tomorrow evening, the details of that are now at the top of this blog. Anyone is welcome to come along if they want to, there won't be any big party but the more the merrier, so feel free to drop by! :) 99-Farming almost achieved!
  25. Again, huge congratulations with this one, it's an awesome achievement to complete! :^_^: Are you continuing on to 99?
