Free Membership Scam. If you ever happen to see a player saying "Free Membership! Add me and PM!", It's a scam. The player would most likely PM you asking for your username and pasword. First off, do not give the player your password. If this ever occurs, Report the player using the report abuse button at the right hand corner at the bottom of the screen. If He, or she attempts to make like it works, don't respond. The only way to obtain membership is through the Runescape Website. There are certain methods of payments for membership, it is not free. To seek more information on Membership visit Runescape's Knowledge base located on the main page. Add on to the Security Centre part of the site. ~Alina

The Alt Scam - Duplicating Somtimes dishonorable players will be willing to do anything for items, and money. In this scam a player will take his victim to a secluded area where only his friends are. He offers to show the victim how to duplicate whatever item he wants that costs alot. His first instruction is to choose the item that costs alot that he wants to duplicate, and then press Ctrl + FC. This causes the victim to log out of Runescape, allowing the player and his friends to gather the armour up and walk away. Please remember that there is no way to duplicate items in runescape. If a player trys to attempt this scam on you, report them and walk away. Add this into the Security Centre part of the site, please. Edited: (Alt + W has been changed to Alt + FC)

Well these people need a wake-up call. I'm now 22 years old, playing since I was 19. I know players who are way younger than me who are mature. Mabey these people can be an excample to the lazy ones. ~Alina

Yes, bots are what keep natural materials to keep selling on runescape. But, would you want a game that lags, but you can still get items? Or a Game that doesn't lag, and you can get items yourself too. ~Alina

Yes Excactly. Where the options are when you post that say "Website", "PM", "AIM", and others It could be an option there. And in the profile part of the website you can set it on/off if you want to be hidden or not. ~Alina

Please remember Random events are completely random. And yes, hence the word Random. It's possible to get many Random events in a short amount of time, and not many for a long amount of time. ~Alina

You do not have to finish the quest. Take a pestal and morator to the ruins of uzer. Please remember to bring a vail aswell to hold to ink in. Pick the mushroom, and Use it with the pestal and morator, and It will be in the Vail. Then, use it on the Goblin Mail. ~Alina

As I was reading, I stopped at a certain point. When you said why would someone report a fellow Tip.Iter. Someone reported you because you broke a rule. The Knowledge base is there for more Info on the rules, care to read it? There are somtimes no warning because the player should have known not to do it, before He/She has done it. I'm sorry that you have .5 blackmarks now, but you must suffer the punishment. Perhaps try not to do that in the future? ~Alina

Well, Since I've been on tip.it I've noticed that it's quite hard going to the Forum tip.it Index at the bottom of the page to find online players. I have a suggestion to add a feature, so when you post it shows if you're online or not. This idea should help many players. Through all of the 100's of players who are online, who'd want to look through them all to see who's online? I'm fine with the way it is now, but if this could be an addition It would be fantastic! ~Alina

I do hope that Jagex starts taking action on the bots around here. It seems as if Jagex is leaving all of the work to normal players who are in groups against autoers. ~Alina

Complaining would get you no where. Jagex hates being bothered with players sending in complaints about bots. They also don't like it posted on the forums.

Well, for a while I've been seeing many complaints about Bots. First off I'd like to say, yes bots are making runescape In-Game lag. I don't enjoy having them around, but I don't complain. The only way to get rid of bots Is the Report them. The best way to report them is to send their names to Jagex staff so they can check it out. Using the "Report Abuse" button, you don't know if the player is a bot or not. Well, Down the Discussion. If Jagex has already stated the way to report autoers, and not to complain about it, why do players insist to carry on? I beleive these players are not reading the Knowledge Base, Or Forum rules. I don't understand why they insist to keep complaining, but I know it does no good. Just Imagine posting a thread on the runescape forums ranting about Bots, and a Mod Locks It. Now, Nothing else can be heard about that topic from the person. Come on people, think? It's common since to read the knowledge base, and rules. It actualy tells you to do that in the process of registering an account. I think players get excited about playing a game that looks enjoyable, and that is. Common since tells you to read the rules & knowledge base so you won't get banned for breaking rules several times. So, The discussion here realy is why do players insist on complaining about bots? ~Alina
