  1. Asking for logic in a game is like asking for a bagel at a butcher's shop. In other words, fishing is fine as is.
  2. This. This. And more this. In 2 days when Bandos crashes 4 Mil, buy for min and wait for a rebound.
  3. Seems like it - my Armadyl wont sell for minimum :ohnoes: If it's worth over 4 Mil, it no longer sells at Min. Even H'Ween masks are affected. =D
  4. Some of us don't have the ~6 hours to play Runescape. Fast money made while at work or college is fast money made while advancing one's placement in life.
  5. You do realize that you are not everyone and you cannot make those generalisations, right? The only reason people hated Merchants before the GE is because they were unable to do it themselves. And in regards to your first 2 sentences: The people who don't take advantage or can't cry the loudest. Look at the new potions for the prime example. There are other things wrong with your post, but I will not point it out because it should be obvious just how illogical those arguments are. That, or you contradict yourself on some of your points.
  6. "Morally defective" is subjective. Often times it is a term used as an over-reaction and with no thought as to what the action is. Example: Stem-Cell research in its early stages.
  7. Oh how fun it is to read over this thread and see all the negative comments directed and J Rune. He's taking advantage of a community of greedy idiots to increase his own wealth. Welcome to life. Grab a cup of coffee and realise that no one cares if you think something is morally bankrupt if it will lead to an advancement that wouldn't be there otherwise. The only people that can do anything are the creators of the system that is being abused. It's been 2 years. Either a fix is about to occur or nothing will be changed. Don't hate people that legally abuse a system for personal gain simply because you either have a moral issue with it or you don't have the ability to do it yourself. Playing it right gets you a nice fuzzy feeling inside. Taking advantage of the broken and the idiotic usually turns a profit. I guarantee you, and I, are gullible idiots with at least 1 industry. Nintendo, Microsoft, and my local market's fruit counter. Just be happy that, in video/online games, you can change it and be on the other side clawing at some of the profit. To the inevitable questions: I see the purpose in it's existence. I also keep a supply of everything I use just in-case things aren't going my way. No. Only on Thursdays, or Wednesdays if you flatter me. No. I don't feel like getting muted. No. I know this is a game and human interaction is limited to trading. Boss hunting isn't my thing and player-to-player trading is now done only with higher-up items.
  8. I see no arrogance.
  9. I love when people say, "THIS is the only way to change x to better fit the requirements of y." It's subjective and most likely not even the only way to approach a problem. The Grand Exchange is here to stay. I accepted that fact a year ago. It's time that you do the same.
  10. I haven't researched Runescape's "luck" engine enough to say whether it uses this format or not. That is why I put "if." It's food for thought just in case the above is the system Jagex uses. It's still my best guess using the above format as a module in that given scenario. It's a possibility, but it can still be wrong and should be taken with a grain of salt.
  11. There is no such thing as luck in electronic games. Only variables that simulate luck. If Runescape is like some other Rpgs, upon starting a new game (account creation) we are assigned a base luck value. That value never changes, but each time we do something (click on something) or don't do anything for a certain amount of time, the variable that alters the final luck value from the base may change, thus giving us better "luck." This is why it is common to hear of people getting multiple rare drops in quick succession or someone doesn't hit very often. Their luck value simply didn't change for a period of time. When random events ran rampant, anyone who wanted one need only open their bank and click that question mark. After 10 minutes all you had to do is close your bank window to be teleported into oblivion. Since random events work with flags and those flags can only be un-triggered by doing the random event, and since you waited 10 minutes and changed your luck variable multiple times, it was almost a certainty. Of course one variable isn't all that exists that effects a base luck value. There are other factors as well. Just remember this: luck is negligible when you play the odds enough times. If you don't succeed once, you surely will if you attempt the same act 150,000 more times. Also, base luck isn't limited to monster drops or hitting alone. I usually hit very well and often. I also have insane "luck" at Barrows. (See sig) I also have a habit of getting good drops the first time I kill a new monster and getting nothing else the rest of the time. (Aquas on release. Range ammy second kill. Second Range ammy 400 kills later.)
  12. Why do you have zezima added as a friend?... Zezima came to IGN a few years back when I used to post there often. He offered to add some of us to prove it was him. I've had him added ever sense. He left 2 days later, though. People that wouldn't otherwise post on that board started spamming his thread.
  13. I am the original poster of the Face_Palm one. Can I haz a cookie?
  14. Dragon Claws... They can kill you with 1 Special attack... But so can... The Granite Maul Dragon Dagger Armadyl Godsword Hand Cannon Dark Bow And, with the triple-stack method for Magic and with magic's massive boost today, it has the potential for 1-round KOing. Yep. D Claws aren't that significant in the grand scheme of things.
  15. His smile makes him look pompous.
  16. My bank video for October. EEK! MY VOICE! NOES!
  17. I do believe I have a reason to train Herblore...
  18. Wachtwoord is right. While you can cast any god spell and Charge without the cape, to gain the bonus damage that charge provides you must wear the cape of the corresponding god spell that you wish to cast.
  19. I was eating lunch and there was nothing good on the Television so I decided to pic a Monster Hunting Guide at random and read it for the lulz. At the bottom I found the following: Soloing The King Black Dragon - Recommended Inventory: - The recommended inventory and the picture both mention a Super Defence potion, but under both of those, in "Strategy," the guide says only to drink the Super Attack and Super Strength Potions. It forgets to mention Super Defence. Also, it says to, "Pull the lever and put on protect from melee." This kind of nullifies the Def potion all-together, right? =D Or is it used for the bit of magic defence the Defence skill provides? Either way, it's just a really minor error. =p
  20. Removing pure essence would be a disaster for everyone who has pure essence in their banks. You wouldn't get more profit from rcing either, runes would just drop in price ... It worked just fine before Pure Essence was released. Pure essence is unnecessary and needs to be taken out. The only things people have said might happen is economic destruction, and I can tell that they didn't really think it through.
  21. It's the trimmed Quest Point Cape.
  22. I'd personally love to see Pure Essence gone. That way, given a month or 2, Essence will go back down to what it should be in the first place: 40 gp each. That way Runecrafting will become profitable enough to make me continue training it on a more regular basis and Ftp will have the runes at the same cost that they used to. I'm assuming we all have the same opinion of the Wilderness Ditch. Also, get rid of the Home Teleport. It wasn't to fight Real World Trading, but the Home Teleport limits more then it helps for new players. Besides, if someone forgets a tele with it gone, I can guarantee that they won't next time. Let's put a bit of the danger back into Runescape.
