  1. The error margin with the DDS is much larger then the G Maul's. And by error margin, even with a defender, that thing fails me to much. I would rather kill them with the Maul because, if you DO use it's spec, 90% of the time it results in death. If this isn't the case, you ARE DOING IT WRONG. Or are a Pjer, who needs to be shot on the spot, but I digress. The DDS has a higher fail rate offset by it's 4 specs. If it makes it more reliable to you, then have at you. It doesn't to me. I use the Maul and get a higher Kill/Opponent ratio. Now, to point something out to the reader: nice change of topic on the part of the challenger to my theory. It means you lose in a debate.
  2. I assume you have some sort of logic behind this. Present it so I can prove you wrong. :D You said g mauls were lethal. They clearly aren't and you've basically admitted that, twice. Ah, so your logic WAS as faulty as a thought. From my first post: Now, because I must deal with 2 arguments you can bring up, let me do the first. In the case of you saying "the G Maul is not Lethal in the presented circumstance." This is wrong because at 30ish Hp (this is high-level, mind you. I hit them, they fell low, they ate) any weapon that has a spec that deals additional damage when compared to its max, or becomes far more accurate, becomes Lethal. In total, the Granite Maul can deal up to around 120 damage. And, in Runescape, hitting 90 more then is needed is great. Hitting 35 more then is needed is better. Again, it is a one-use type of thing. If you fail, you no longer will have a good chance at killing. Now, for the second: "The G maul isn't lethal. At all." Now, I'd be ignorant to assume that you are 100% ftp in your time playing Runescape. If so, you shouldn't even be commenting. But, my better judgement takes hold. 1 Def Pures like it because all 3 hits will likely hit. Considering their opponent will have ~1 defence, or low defence, and low HP, and the Maul's Max at around the time the 1 Def pures get true good use from it is around the Mid 20s, it is one of the best options for KO and can even lead to a "one spec, one kill" situation. This is what we call lethality. As the defence spectrum increases, lowered use grows do to relative inaccuracy. As strength grows, possible lethality grows. Simple, huh? It is my weapon of choice because it has a high risk-reward trade-off. I'd rather kill my opponent right then and there with high potential to only need one hit to kill them then hit them with a dagger spec and hope for the best. And it has a reasonable cost. Screw up and say good-bye to 16-60+ million because the only ones that do the Maul's job better are at that price range. Off course, you'll come up with a "I meant this" type of thing. When you do, I'll counter that to. Because I have more free time then I need. So, they clearly ARE lethal and I never admitted to it, twice.

  4. You only get two specs. You should have just said, "Did Not Read." So you can correct your error, read the line after the small brick of text. And, if you did read it, and you posted anyway, your assumption that I didn't know that astounds logic. =D>
  5. The lack of mention of the Granite Maul disturbs me. It is one of the most lethal weapons in all of Runescape for finishing off whoever you are killing. It's max is in the mid-40s (I think), but keeping in mind that a user will most likely be in Pking gear, the max can be in the low 40s... for one of its 2-3 hits. (2 if you decided to hit with something like an Anchor then switch and spec) And it is a Crush Weapon. 120+ damage is you get lucky. 75+ Damage on average. The reason people don't use it much is because it is a hit or miss weapon. But who cares? G Maul for life. inb4someonewhothinkstheycanchangemyopinionbypresenting"facts"thathavenouseatallwhenpresentedtome.Crazyillogicalftw.
  6. I've spent the last ~4 years, on and off, on this account. I can't imagine selling it. The only way for me to even consider getting rid of this account is if Runescape was to cease to exist.
  7. I have learned to have a sense of scepticism if someone asks me to come with them into a cave when I do not have the ability to teleport at the time, any form of antidote, or about 20 Pineapple Pizzas. I have learned that eating a fully grown, fully cooked shark, can be done with one bite. I don't even have to worry about the bones that remain inside said shark. I have learned that cooking and fletching are worthless wastes of my time, despite the fact I need the former to have a good meal. I have learned that I can talk to a complete stranger that tells me to kill something multiple times and somehow I learn to kill monsters that are seemingly the same as the monsters that I have been killing. I have learned that many monsters regularly carry bank notes, but no more then a certain number pertaining to that monster. I have learned that dying means absolutely nothing, so long as I can get to the place where I died within 5 minutes of doing so. I have learned that stars are one of the most hated things while talking to people. I have learned that I rarely need to drink anything, save for steriods.
  8. With this "parent's" logic, besides getting fat, I might also take a Chef's Hat and a Meat Tenderiser about as big as I am (5' 10") and start killing Cows, Chickens, small rats, Giant Rats, and evil spirits with it. I must be stopped! Seriously, either this idiot does not have kids, they are extremely self-conscious of their Runescape playing and weight, and/or they are horrid parents.
  9. Not Runescape, but I thought you'd all like to see this. It is from Funorb, anyway, so meh. I got this a long time ago, but found the pic:
  10. One-Hundred... Percent... Serious... Help me out with my collection, mmk?
  11. This is what happens when everything just seems to go right.
  12. only 1 chst a trip? :( Ya, but I can get through 4 an hour, and it saves quite a bit of money, so it is good.
  13. This just shows how I do my Barrows runs. A few drops at the end of the video. [yt]pvX1Y1mg7Ps[/yt]
  14. Not bad. I mean 50 runs take like, 4 hours? Well, 4 hours for 50 runs is quite a bit. I'd think more along the lines of 10 hours. Still, 1.16 mil/hr average is good.
  15. [yt]VAAef-6LsjU[/yt] I open 50 chests back to back (in multiple runs, of course) and show why I am the Olly of Barrows. I need to do things like this more often... =p
  16. I must ask how. I can only manage up to 170 Sharks an hour if I'm lucky. This is without the Lobster or Pots/Pie, but I don't think it'd make to much of a difference.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pICes7arKo 99 Strength.
  18. If you are good at prayer flashing, you can go through 5 points just flashing Piety in an hour, if that. Now, assuming that you are unable to do this, or your connection doesn't allow you to prayer flash, then this is a viable option. Other then that, they are overlooked for a reason.
  19. At the Fishing Trawler guy: I have 18 million+ fishing xp and I don't feel like I need free fish. I got those fishing. -_- Anyways, I desided to start slaying again. I go to get a task and get... 56 Bronze dragons. I hate them because I just do. (Under 70 slayer ftw) Anyways... I thought to myself, "Hell. If I Burth it I'll get dogs again, and I hate them more, so why not just do this task quickly. I'm glad I did. The result of the 56 dragons when I finished it:
  20. [hide=My Logic. (If you post of how this is blasphemy without reading this, your post will mean nothing)]I, like many who are reading this, am a gamer. A hard core, die-hard, give-it-everything-you-have-and-more gamer. Through years of experience, knowlage comes naturally. That, and curiosity of how things work within and during a game. I have found that, save for very rare occurrences, numbers that have effect on events in a game are rarely not related to another number that relatively close to to the original event number base. Allow me to explain... A is a base number that can be manually altered by a person through various means. B is the thing that an alteration of A can change. C is a value that involves B, but isn't supposed to be affected by A, or is affected very little. A's value is x1, while B is y1 and C is y2. Based on complex factors and equations of luck, the value of x can be changed to a value that causes the final luck equation to meet a climax of factors influencing luck in your favor. This is called luck manipulation. Both y1 and y2 MAY be affected by the final equation's values, which can be manipulated by x's value. Now, generally, every action you do in a game can have an effect on the final outcome's value. This value is x2, and is always changing. If you try pressing or holding a button down when playing a game that involves "luck," you may have something happen in your favor, or to your distaste. So, luck manipulation by pressing buttons... Here is your crash course. (Skip this if you want) To do this, simply press a button or do an action. That is it. Remember the Megaman series? You can change a drop from an enemy by shooting an enemy earlier or later. You can change it's drop from anything to nothing, to a free life. You can see this in RPG games to a bigger effect. Want an enemy's unblock-able attack to miss? Try pressing any button right before the damage comes up. The reason you should try this in general playing is to make life easier. That's basically it. Anyone can test it by repeating an action with the same timing, but altering button presses for a few frames. Best done on Emulators with Savestates. If you don't have access to one, start any game from a save point and hold a button to any direction. When you get to an enemy, kill it. Then repeat it, only letting the enemy survive a longer or shorter time. If the enemy has a drop, you will get something diffrent if you wait a bit. I do not recommend this for trying in an online game, as doing this activity is impossible to tell the timing for it because you don't start from a save point. The closest you can get to this is altering values you can control, such as x1.[/hide] Now, Jagex has stated that the Kill Count at Barrows does not affect item drops. It may be that they were trying to avoid this sort of thing, or it is an unintended error in the game. Either way, I have found that an 11 kill count has a very high Rune/Rack/Barrows item drop rate. My longest dry run with an 11 Kill count is 17. Now, I am not very lucky in Runescape. I've killed thousands of Black dragons, Hundreds of King's and Metals, and my best drops have been a D Med and a Dragon Skirt from a Steel and Iron respectively. The Rarest drop from the Black drags was a single Dragonstone. My charicters luck value is low. Now, either I have ungodly luck in Barrows, or something is working for me. Keeping in mind that this is a discussion thread of my discovery (or lack thereof,) I would ask some people with long dry runs, or people who Barrow quite a bit, to try the 11 Kill count for a while and report back the results. It may even be that there is a Kill count luckier then 11, or it might change from person to person based on other factors. I'm not sure entirely how it works for Runescape yet. This will all come in time. Please, have an open mind. It will allow for more discoveries, or further discoveries such as this, at Barrows and beyond. I'm off for the night, so... K.
