Great guide for p2p, but as noted needs f2p tips. In f2p try to fight them near an altar to keep your prayers going (either the lvl 15 or so one, or the chaos altar). The chaos altar is good because you can trap them inside/outside sometimes (as long as they're not near the door, they can sometimes come through!) As you alluded to I've been using full rune w/ mage protect prayer on to minimize their damage, or failing that using green dragonhide/rune combo to cover both bases. I haven't done much ranging/maging of them yet...maging i don't think will be effective due to your bad defense while in mage 'armour' (although, crumble undead????), but high lvl rangers w/ addy arrows while they're blocked could be effective to take away their melee and having effective mage def, just leaving ranged which you can protect from. Other than that try to fight em with a few friends... because if you see 105's+ by yourself you're almost no chance and better start praying to Jebus :pray:

Lessers on crandor and probably the best with 2 good safe spots to range from.If you haven't done dragon slayer then use the ones in the volcano with safe spots. Ankous are also ok with some handy drops Ice giants are ok once the warriors stop being aggressive and chasing you around. id use iron/steel depending on your price constraints... irons are pretty good for only 10 each so id be using them

Edge, varrock and north of rimmington seem the best ones on f2p. I usually go to the rimmington one with the runes for fally teleport and run back there. probably the furthest away from bank though but its quiet. prices seem to vary atm between 350-450..not really sure

only thing ive gotten so far on f2p is coins -.-

I've been making trips to greaters lately and everytime ive gone ive been attacked by the damn things. Last night a lvl 90-odd was attacking another guy there so i started attacking it and got it down to past half health without getting hit, as it was attacking the other guy who was running around like a headless chook. Then it started attacking me and pretty much wooped my [wagon] but i had almost killed it. Then a lvl 126 comes outta nowhere freezes me with a 22 and bam im dead... and id just got rune full helm from greaters too :( I might get some friends together later and go team some of the damn things. And has any1 tried ranging/maging them and is it effective??? ive only fought them with melee. Oh and btw, they change their attack style when u change your protect prayer. It was mage/ranging me so i went up and attacked it with mage protect on, then it meleed me for 20+ so i put melee protect on, then it maged me again. clever buggers :-k

the biggest achievement for me was buying 2 r2h's (on rsc) for some silver certs (i think 20 each)...i cant remember now whether i got ripped off or got a good deal, but i felt like i could take on the world :twisted:

As long as you can get back there before your tombstone collapses (2-5 mins depending on which one you bought)... found that one out the hard way #-o

I (lvl 85) just got OWNED by a lvl 126 one (forgot name). I was at greaters and just got a rune full and was near full health when i see the skull shooting thing coming at me and i searched around to find it, but by the time i had and looked back at my health i had a little itty bit of green left and was dead before i could eat :wall: i tried to get back to my stuff but got to about lvl 30 wild before i got the message that my grave collapsed :( i tried to fight a lvl 80 something one before and still got [wagon] pretty much wooped. They're a little too powerful, especially for f2p like myself who kinda don't have much to fight them with

yeah those things owned me 2. I was at greater's and one attacked me and started hitting 22+...and it was only lvl 70 something (i'm 85). Put on range prayer and it still hit from distance...put on mage prayer and it still hit from distance :wall: #-o . I was low food at the time so i didn't kill it...but apparently the drops are poor considering the damage they do they should at least drop rune items or lots of chaos/death runes or something decent. Anyway about the update... i was training heavily to go pking and now i dunno what to train...im not a big skiller but i might start mining/smithing, or i might just train up range/mage and go to the bounty- "get owned by clans and end up with everyone 1-iteming and make the whole thing pointless" -hunter. If dueling didn't have the stupid limit it be doing that but its kinda pointless for 3k... -.-

who actually listens to the runescape music wtf?? :shock: usually listen to metal/hard rock... right now listening to a led zeppelin box set that i bought the other day that rocks :twisted: usually stuff like pantera, sabbath, COC, ministry, alice in chains, BLS, hendrix, soilwork, the haunted, RATM...lots of good stuff to help pass the time. \

lol... i sold full rune t a day before the GE for 820k... when i looked on the GE is was like 650-700k :-k ..good timing i guess :thumbsup: . Both g and t seem to dropping slowly but steadily so i wouldn't be investing in it right now, but if u just want it for the look it shouldn't be dropping a huge amount
