Last week TBE declared on us for our #6 RSB rank and we gladly accepted. Having never warred them before we didn't know what to expect. We didn't think we would have a good pull since our sign-up was so low but luckly a lot of people started showing up in the last hour. At the start we caught about 10 of them bunched up by the stairs near the portal. We mass barraged it and they soon dropped. That lowered their lead and even things out. But as we all rushed to find that bunch we managed to also bunch ourselves. Luckily, we recovered quickly and didn't loose too many to that mistake. After that we started hitting single targets and took them down fast with quick transitions. They started making some good piles too but at that time the momentum was in our side and there wasn't much they could do. We also had some good tanking. Since this was an important war a lot of our members bought full pvp armors and weps. Ending WoF: 23? Round 2 Starting WoF: 35 TBE: 40 They set up by their portal and so we divided into two teams. We flanked them and managed to drop their lead quickly. They were too widely spread that it was hard for them to get a pile going. And since we were attacking them from left and right that made it even harder for them to find a pile. Both of our teams stayed spread to avoid getting mass barraged but not too spread so as to get piles going. Again we had great tanking. Because they were too widely spread it was easy for us to tank. I prefer having pkris in turrets instead than in classic. But it was still a good fight.

Interesting topic. Before CWA the only type of combat clan that existed were pk clans. After old wildy died and CWA was introduced all pk clans were forced to go to CWA or die. After PvP came out most pk clans returned to wildy, but some others realized one thing: you don't have to be a pk clan to stay alive as a combat clan. The opponents of this idea usually claim this: 1. CWA is boring and nobody cares about it. If this were true why so many clans still war there? One could even claim that there are more clans active in CWA than in PvP. 2. Getting drops makes warring more fun. But whats the point of getting drops when you cant keep them. If you really have loyalty for your clan you wouldnt leave the fight to bank your drops. 3. If you want to be a top clan you must do PvP. What if you dont? What if you dont ever want to be a clan like DF, DI, VR? What if you dont like doing 15+ hours worth of pkris every week? Is it really that horrible to be in a small no-namer clan? Maybe there are people that are more interested in a tight friendly community that only requires them to do 2-3 hours worth of wars in CWA so that they can then spend the rest of their time doing other fun stuff, such as skilling or solo pking. Pk clans are undoubtedly very popular with their members, which is a lot (maybe 2-3k ppl). But the fact that there are more people that are in clans that have stayed in CWA tells us a lot about the legitimacy of CWA as a venue for combat clans to have their wars at. One should also take notice that PvP has literally closed a lot of clans that have not embraced CWA after PvP came out. These clans include FT, RR, PE, Ad, and more. Why should CWA clans turn into pk clans when they are likely to loose their members to the top 15 when they see that in pk bigger is always better?

The secret to P2P CWA: 1. Don't use full melee def armor. I see many ppl there wearing things like full guthans and full drag. Karil top and verac skirt is best. 2. Dont bunch up. Unlike F2P where everyone fallins to pile, in P2P you need to spread to pile or otherwise you get mass barraged.

I vastly disagreed with most of his ideas for tournaments and TWR. But, at least he was very active which counts for a lot.

I'd say leave the clan and find another one. Tell the leader that things are not working out for you in the clan and you will be looking for a different one. But definitely don't try to pull members with you. That would be betraying your former clan and it will certainly backslash you in the future.
