  1. Im not talking about competing so much as diversifying at the current level. You are right there is already a lot of powerful equipment out there but what we have to avoid is a cold-war style arms race with every major update being expected to increase the hitting power of players which will only result in an over-abundance of super weapons. Perhaps using smithing for the creation of high-end armors that negate the dramatic effect the current weapons can have is a viable alternative?
  2. Felt i should get my opinion out. Yes, i would agree that mineing/smithing need a serious overhaul but i dont think this is the correct course of action. When i started out in runescape the idea of being able to make my own armor and weapons was hugely apealing but i soon learned that there were faster ways, i could make money and just buy what i wanted. I would like to see mid-high level players being able to smith customised equipment to suit their own needs. I know attempting this would open a massive can of worms but what we need is not more powerful weapons and armor but a greater diversity of useful equipment.
  3. From the misquoted wisdom of Billy Connelly "Welcome! Welcome out of the closet! Welcome to the real world where you can be made fun off like everyone else you poof! Don't like it? then get back in the closet!!" I think the same thing applys to racism, multiculturalism is a two-way street.
  4. well ive been pwned in a matter of seconds. No returns for this poor noob, have fun guys go tipit!!
  5. i have evaded that by opening rs in 2 windows, major lag though will close the english 1 on switch
  6. lol finally i can post  dunno what was goin on there. anyway tipitnoob here and ready to serve
  7. I missed this but one point springs to mind. People say its unfair for the other sites cause tipit can pull in so many more fighters but lets not forget that up untill the mssw3 RSC was the dominant fansite. Seems kinda funny that after only 2 wins the other sites say we are unbeatable when we proved that even after 2 wins the top clan can be changed :? GET SOME BACKBONE! if we can turn it around so can you
  8. its back! yayz  let the randomness begin(again)
  9. voice like an angel, blurry screen like a broken tv.... :wall: na just kiddin you know we love you really
  10. wtf? my comp wont let me into runescape  ive missed all ur levels pluggy :( still i can at least give you a bit of advice, you had better... cause its not every day you get a 99
  11. ability to draw life energy? sounds a bit.. vamperic to me actually what about a leech type thing, sea slugs perhaps? seems like the sea slugs are becomeing runescapes version of the knights templar irl (instant conspiricy just add water)
  12. Somehow i doubt that their will be an offical "lend for cash" system and to be fair, profiting from it would be hard because i think you can only lend while both players are logged in. (pretty sure i read that on the main website somewhere) As for the economic side of it, I cant see it causein a massive change generaly if you want something then you want it and if its only a lend its not really yours. one use i can see though... if you die with lended gear does it instantly return to the lender? if so you could put a guy in a normaly high-risk situation purely with lent gear and be safe in the knolage that nothing would be lost if he dies.
  13. i find i often go outta my way to help other people, and they almost always end up better than me (stats wise) but they still come back to me if they need a hand with something. *best example* helped a freind of a freind (somone i had never met before) to finish a quest they were stuck with and they contacted me about a month later saying "thanks again for helping me, if you hadnt id never have got my quest cape" so i got the warm fuzzy glow but i also got the feeling that id just been majorly overtaken by a level 40 noob that couldnt find varrock #-o
  14. It's the new source of public fright, and a new excuse for repressive policy. Way to miss that. its only a source of fear if you let it be. Are terrorists scared of terrorism? probably not. Also to be honest your original allusion was hardly clear yes communism was a source of fear for some people but it was also a sorce of hope and insperation for others. Terrorism on the other hand is hardly a source of hope for anyone. Even the most hard nosed fanatics must be able to see that the current situation cannot be maintained or made better for mankind in general. Your point about the repressive policy is valid though, but like i said above it was hardly clear.
  15. Thats wrong for a whole load of reasons. it implys that communism was the work of a group of religious zelots and warmongerers, which is quite obviously wrong if you look at communists like che guvera (i know the spelling is wrong) You obviously missed my point completely. Way to fail at recognising allusion. allusion to what? terrorism like comunism is americas current "big evil"? to my mind that shows communism as an evil wheras it was the best possible ideal but it was corrupted by greed. Comunism as an idea has or will never been evil in any way shape or form it is the fault of the people who misused it that it became what it did. Have you ever met a real comunist? and i dont mean someone who claims to be one i mean the real thing i know an old guy who still wants to see the revolution in this country but is now resinged to the fact that its never going to happen. Terrorism in the modern sense is violence, the threat of violence, or other harmful acts committed for political or ideological goals. Most definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians). Many definitions also include only acts of unlawful violence. This is what makes a terrorist. To become one, one must forsake any sence of humanity first. So appealing to that side of human nature is futile anyway . it could be argued that if get get to them before that happens we could solve it for good or that you never loose your humanity you just get driven into the "red mist" by misdirection if i gave you a gun and said "shoot me" would you? probably not but if i gave you the means to get revenge on an organisation that you hated would you? probably and thats what has to be solved terrorists wont see their targets as humans but insted as parts of a greater evil one that must be destroyed at all costs. if the only way to stop invading aliens was to lose your life would you? (see independace day) but how often do you see the life upbrining and children of these evil aliens? never. so how can you justify killing them? "they are evil"? perhaps they appear like that to you and perhaps we appear like that to terrorists its all about human nature and understanding (or lack of it) when you break it down.
  16. Ok just to start i have to say Thats wrong for a whole load of reasons. it implys that communism was the work of a group of religious zelots and warmongerers, which is quite obviously wrong if you look at communists like che guvera (i know the spelling is wrong) Anyway when people talk about terrorists i always think off two things.. One. Terrorism is almost entirely the work of religous extremists who, to be fair, america has more than its fair share off (part of the united states is called the "bible belt" for a reason) think about it like this. If the Communists had won the cold war would the Terrorists be american christian extremists? Probably, they preach with the same vigor as the terrorist leaders the only reason they arnt bombing people is becase they have the better life that the ones that do the bombing are fightning for. Two. terrorism can be summed up (from the terrorists point of veiw) by the following quote from an Ira terrorist "we only have to get lucky once, you have to be lucky all the time" now that is true it only takes one well thought out attack to bring a city to chaos but it takes a lot of luck to stop this from happening. i think people block out terrorism becase if we spent our time worring about it we would never get anything done. the same is true for all of our fears you could get run over every day you leave your house, but does it worry you as much as your next bill? probably not to forget/ignore things that scare us is just human nature. im scottish and have a massive amount of respect for the people who fought back at the glasgow airport attack. Personaly i think thats part of human nature too the "fight or flight" reflex so to speak. Perhaps the way to beat terrorists is not by military strength becase, lets face it, when has that ever really worked? but to apeall to the one thing we all share. A sence of humanity.
  17. keep doing what i have been trying to do (99 in every skill ) to quote myself - "im trying to get 99 in everything.. just not trying verey hard" #-o
  18. just before i start i would like to say "sorry i posted it in the wrong place first time (off topic) but i wasnt sure where this should go. However, to be honest the response i got was hardly what i expected.. i thought "hyt" could be full of people who were far to aggresive but i have learned that applyes to the tif too.. (cant qoute properly) Nadril - "you're an idiot, gtfo back to general." anyway this was the original post. ok this is just a bit of curiosity but id like to know what other people think about "lightning" 's clan chat "hyt" (hey you tipiter) which is used as a general place of discussion and fun (advice for noobs "chuck norris" = instant boot ) Anyway i have many feelings for hyt ive met a lot of good people, and a lot of spammers, there too and would like to know what other ppl think just to get the ball rolling in my usual "a picture is worth a thousand words" style. when i join and meet a wall of spam i feel... (sorry mods but i had to be honest. I would have changed the words but my noob comp wont let me) but when it is a good crowd on i feel... :XD: (was the only pic i could find that was lulzy enough) anyway any thoughts on the people you meet or how the place can be will be apreciated hopefully this is the right place and i wont be made to feel like ive done something evil like cause a war over something as simple as a wrongly placed thread (if noobs on rs get treated like that is it any wonder they turn out so bad? :-k )
  19. ok i grew up in a west highland (scotland) pub and as far as im conserned the uk is going in totaly the wrong direction! The reason people binge drink was becase that was how they leared to drink, alcohol is or seems hard to get hold off as a teen and when you do get it its at a party and everyone is drinking too much. Perhaps (and i know this sounds radical) the soultion is to lower the drinking age i learned to drink in a pub so when i see people my age drinking i think "kids these days " even though we are the same age  ive been in (and drinking in) pubs since i was born (i was served at 12 in one pub) and as such i am much more responsible than most young people in the uk also if you have seen the effects of alcohol first hand from a young age and you arent pressured into likeing it then you learn to respect it and the effect it can have
  20. ok this is just a bit of curiosity but id like to know what other people think about "lightning" 's clan chat "hyt" (hey you tipiter) which is used as a general place of discussion and fun (advice for noobs "chuck norris" = instant boot  ) Anyway i have many feelings for hyt ive met a lot of good people, and a lot of spammers, there too and would like to know what other ppl think just to get the ball rolling in my usual "a picture is worth a thousand words" style. when i join and meet a wall of spam i feel... 21. i have contacts.. and it depends whic type you mean mine are gass permiable or "hard" and if i was playing american football (or proper football for that matter :wall: ) they would do more damage than braking my glasses, now soft or "one day" lenses they are different, but they do make life easyer. they dont fog up or fall off, and all that "smarter" stuff is rubbish all that that is is ppl with glasses tend to work harder because they are isolated by all the "4 eyes" stuff..
  22. this was me and scife when we worked out that it was fleb after all 8-) yes we are both tib (tipiters in black) agents...tracking down the scum.. and mods... of the universe. 8-)
  23. i think the idea behind the quest points plan is not to do with how long the acount has been around for but more on the lines of "is it a real gamer not a sweatshop worker?" in my opinion jagex has made the nesisarily drastic action to finish off these real world traders i mean if you look historicaly the best generals are the ones who break from the "expected reaction" sailing streight into the enamys guns in order to break their line (which worked brilliantly) as opposed to doing what they want you to and what the norm has been :wall: not going to get far with that are you? after all... whats to stop the brains behind the autoers decideing to create a marco that creates accs? no ammount of banhammer use could stand up to being spammed with autoers
  24. just to clarify i never said it was mine.. just that i have seen it :
  25. beause "a picture can say more than 1000 words" that is what i intend to show ive gotta say people who blame muslim fundamentalists should check out americas "bible belt" and play "spot the difference" its much harder than it sounds. if god can cause so much trouble perhaps man is better of without him.. but he also caused some the mans greatest achevements... really its a moot point. Man wouldnt be better or worse of without god regardless of wheather he is real
