  1. I was one of the very first people to get an 'untrimmed' 120 dg cape (perhaps in the top 20). I have mined every single rock in Gielinor. Before dungeoneering, I had the most balanced non-maxed stats (all 80 non-cb, all 85 cb).
  2. So sick of this dammed activity. Caught all of the jadinkos 12 weeks in a row, received witchdoctor robes every single time. Is it even possible to own 2 pairs of witchdoctor legs? Do I have to choose the receive farming exp? Why does the RNG hate me so...
  3. For an extremely competant team, which waves should be completed to fill penance horn the fastest? I've heard 1-6 is best, but no one seems certain.
  4. I've noticed something similar when training dungeoneering: if I do a do a lot of floors in one go, doorlag gets worse and worse.
  5. 30 zamorak favour potions will last 450 minutes, and you'll get 495 minutes worth of exp during that time. So if you can get 30 zamorak favour potions in 45 minutes, they're definately worth using. Even if it takes slightly longer to get that many, they may still be worth using as you get hunter exp for hunting the zamorak jadinkos.
  6. The thing about language, especially in mathematics and science, is that it's allowed to be context specific. The accepted meaning of words is usually defined by the way people use them, not the other way round. If the 'official' definiton of a word doesn't match common usage, it's the official definition that will change - that's how language evolves. I'm not suggesting that language is evolving in this case, merely that we have a context specific defition of the phrase 'drop rate'. In this case, there are no 'drop rates' in runescape, only 'drop chances'. Hence, we can call them 'drop rates' with no ambiguity. It's context specific; when somebody uses the phrase 'drop rate' in regards to runescape, it can be implicitly assumed that it is a 'one in x chance' being referred to, simply because there are no 'kill monster x times for 100% chance of drop' cases in runescape. If we used the phrase 'drop rate' in a different game where the distinction was important, the phrase might have a different meaning. If somebody has any idea at all how runescape works, they obviously know that every time you kill a monster, you have x chance of getting a certain drop. Saying "Killing x monsters does NOT give you a 100% chance of drop: it's RANDOM!" is just insulting their intelligence.
  7. A fast way is just to make any flatpack item requiring 2 planks. Beasts of burden help. If you can use a pack yak, making kitchen tables (3 planks) give faster construction exp.
  8. Jagex seems to have over-active community-management and marketing departments. In small doses their input might improve the game, but they seem to be doing too much, too fast. It may perhaps be a sense of obligation on their part to do something with the time they're being paid for, even if it doesn't actually improve anything. That's complete speculation on my part though, I know less than nothing about how Jagex works. With regards to the MLP, it's the first update that's really depressed me. If Jagex keeps up with stunts like this I think I'll end my membership.
  9. Ooh, here's a good one to try I just thought of: Congratulations, you have won £1000!!!! Click the 'Accept Appeal' button to claim your prize!
  10. Marmaros and Thok journals can only be obtained by monster drops in certain floors. All other dg journals are obtained from bosses. I went from 99-120 dg without ever seeing some of Marm and Thok lower journals, so I would assume you can only get them by killing monsters on lower floors. I'd like to know on precisely which floors you can get the various Marm and Thok letters, as it will save me some time when I go hunting for them.
  11. You should always use a ring for combat. Use t1 desp when ranging and t1 blazer when maging at the very least.
  12. If you buy and sell at GE price, blue is currently cheaper than green. It reminds me of when teak logs were cheaper construction exp than oak a few months back.
  13. I don't know for certain, but I remember reading that: (i) losing out on a bigger drop will increase your lsp more (ii) the higher the ge value of the drop, the less each gp worth of lsp matters for whether or not you get that drop So if you miss a 10k and mass for a 100m drop, your chances will hardly be increased at all Whereas if you miss a 100m drop and mass for a 10k, your chances of getting the 10k drop rise much more. So it would be best to get lsp at monsters with high value drops (corp) then use the lsp on monsters with lower value drops. This is all mostly guesswork, I haven't done any tests or anything.
  14. For ranged, mercenary's gloves give better dps than barrows gloves if you don't need defence.
  15. Concerning maging: I've found using both leech def and leech mage to be important on certain monsters. Against high level fire giants and ghosts, using those prayers increases dps by a noticable amount. Most other magable monsters have low mage defence, so no need to leech against them. Can someone who has experience doing dging with a team of 100+ dgers and no defensive binds tell me: how long does the average 5:5 c6 large floor take with a team like that?
