  1. It's always comforting to know that the people you are versing do not know how to break their wand. Makes for an easy game overall.
  2. There are certain limits to repels. I am not sure exactly what they are. I bet someone knows exactly how many times you can repel an orb, the time limit between, and how a player attracting/repelling that orb to the altar affects those limits. I've yet to figure them out, as I have the same problem as you do.
  3. Finally. Last skill is 80 crafting, for all noncombat 80+.
  4. Nice scores Pinata and 514. I always am anxious to find the scores of the night before on this thread the next morning. I think I like The Great Orb Project too much. I remember leaving right when you went into the game, Pinata. :D EDIT: Did very well at an evaluation. Slowly working towards 50 duo on green. Fire was crazy. And this is only a 50. I can't image what a 56 could have been like. :x Partner was, of course and as always, Qwedloki100.
  5. Since I duo for the most part, I'll give some tips as well. One should, for the most part, bring an orb into a teammate's range before pulling in your own orb. Although you may think that getting your two orbs in first will help for faster orb spawns, you'll only be working with two orbs. If you take time to bring the third into your teammate's range, then you'll have three orbs spawning to work with. Secondly, assist your teammate as much as possible. This requires knowing your teammate extremely well, and communicating (preferably before the game). If you have three orbs that are your responsibility, one of them being a pillar orb, you should pull the pillar orb once (do not finish it) and move onto one of the other two orbs you are responsible for. Your teammate, if they are bright, will finish the pillar trick for you. This allows you to save precious seconds by spreading orb responsibility out.
  6. I've been going to bed early the past few nights, so I guess I've missed all the fun games. Great scores, and congratulations Pinata on being on the winning team. :) Psst, who (or what direction) on your team was stacked? Oh, and also, how'd the other altars go? EDIT: That was duo in world 61. Loki and I have been doing exceptionally well on green lately.
  7. If your all around the air altar you click on the opposing side. If 2 people on the sameish side click on the same orb, it still goes inside the altar anyway. Yeah, but if you're (for example) standing on the south side, then you can either pull from the north east or north west side, in which whoever's at the east and west sides can pull the same orbs. Sometimes when piling occurs, the orb stops moving. :x Or at least in my cases. My duo record on air as been 44 so far. (Dutch Please) and I are still looking to get 50+ with a team or something higher than 44 for duo. :( Timing your clicks so that you take control immediately after they lose control of the orb (say your teammate is pulling an orb in far enough so you can get it) takes a lot of practice, but allows for the orb to continually move towards the altar.
  8. 514, is that recent? I can't see Phylous wearing his Construction cape. Wonderful, nonetheless. :)
  9. Congratulations on improving your Orbing skills. (Portals are East's responsibility) :-#
  10. I have no idea whether you enjoyed it or not. Anyone would be happy achieving a level in a short amount of time. That doesn't mean you were overjoyed spending all hours of your life doing it. Either way, the level deserves a 10/10. And I am definitely not a troll, Psi_Kia_Kai.
  11. It's obviously not a 50/50 world, since green scored. I doubt you would try very hard if the score was 43-10 at 1/4 left. Just thought I would share this one from a while ago, since you don't see many green scores this high. EAST: The Cat160 WEST: Sammathnar NORTH: Cup Lion SOUTH: Stacked inexperienced players, I believe.
  12. Duoing a 50 was my goal for the summer. That is, two people scoring 50. My partner and I finally got around to it. EDIT: If anyone was wondering, it was a show game. Hence the score.
  13. I've been thinking. Maybe the inexperienced players get the wrong idea when, in this instance (yellow orb trapped): Their orb is pulled in while they are still holding it, but not because of them, but because someone stole it from them. It may confuse them into thinking such a position will bring their orb in. I like this guide because it emphasizes what the correct positions are. If only more people looked at it.
  14. As said before: when you collect the items, you gain wealth and when you train herblore, you lose wealth. There is simply NO WAY to train herblore without losing wealth. Remember you can also keep or exchange the items for something else. By doing every McJob yourself, you will ALSO lose the potential wealth (items) you would have gotten by more efficient ways of collecting wealth. Differentiate between net loss, and loss. If you start with a 10 million gold piece cashpile, buy materials, and make potions, you end with no cash and some potions (which can sell for whatever). That's called net loss. If you start with 10 million gold pieces, gather the materials, make potions, you end up with 10 million gold pieces, and whatever comes with selling your potions. That's called net profit. Of course, people argue time is money, so the individual can determine whether gathering is worth it or not.
  15. It is terrible to be the victim of the guild full of quitters. Try playing half speed. ^_^
