  1. In regards to clan Atrocity, could you put our irc in miscellaneous info please? #atrocity.
  2. There's a reason they're 'great' or 'awesome' and that tends to be the reason people use them.
  3. When it bores me or when Jagex render it unplayable.
  4. What do you use the cash and noted planks for (i'm still new to construction)?
  5. An 80+ would be sufficient, but if someone had, say, 60 in all skills, they would be a fairly expeirienced player. Depends on the way they speak as well. Someone speaking in full English and who knows what they're talking about will appear to be more high level (to me) then some rude, arrogant guy who can't spell properly.
  6. When you go to another website where you have to create a username and password any admin can see this password. Jagex aren't joking when they say never use your runescape password anywhere else.
  7. Ok, but your going to do less damage and get less XP and drops. Most RS players would rather get faster XP\drops then hit more often and harder. its a phycalogical thing though, if it seems that i am doing very little damage i start waning to train less and less, but if i see myslef doing 30's i will be like "wow cool this is fun! i shold do it more" ...see my point Not really, a quick glance at the XP\hour will show that your getting significantly less XP, something that usually turns off most people. Yes, dds is far superior to d long. D claws is far better then them and significantly better then AGS, though. claws aren't that great, brunokiller can own people with his blitz/ags madness. I have seen plenty of specials to know that it is overrated. a cheap dds can easily do high damage. gmauls can do high damage. [/hide] I've done 16 hours with claws, or about 600 specs, and at least 8 times that with AGS. I've spent literally dozens of hours with blitz\ags spec combos. D claws are superior to AGS; they are more accurate, have a higher max (and thus a higher average hit), and hit twice as fast. But did you test them before, or after they were nerfed? Because their accuracy is not what it used to be when they came out. There is a reason people are trying to sell them with party hats to get rid of them you know.. Wouldn't Jagex have made an official comment if they had been nerfed? When I was fighting some guy with attack cape in clan wars both his specs all hit 0 on 1 defence so I can't exactly say you're mistaken, but surely Jagex would've posted on the official forums explaining their decision? If they did can you post the quick find thingy.
  8. but srsly in da tym u tak 2 get 5 def u cud hav mde 400gp. It's a requirement for Barrows, something that will help a lot while training. Furthermore, there are 4 factors that I can see that depend if something is worth doing or not. 1) Cost 2) Time 3) Levels (Skills) 4) Fun The last 2 can't be measured, so this whole argument is only a recommendation for the FIRST 2. Don't troll, stuge. What are you talking about? u iz blind 2 da troof.
  9. but srsly in da tym u tak 2 get 5 def u cud hav mde 400gp.
  10. The D long hits +1 harder then dragon scim, and has a few points of extra accuracy (basically equivalent to wearing a warriors ring with d scim). Not worth the slowness.
  11. I have to ask, how many charms do you have? About 5k green, 3k crimson, 10k gold and 600 blues.
  12. You cant say there's no familiar that you want, if you've never trained it to find out what they're like. I cba looking up your stats to see for myself why you have no need for familiars, that's your choice. If your not 99 RC, try a ghraak, it's faster than the abyss. If your not 99 Slayer, try a bunyip, it's priceless on the way to slayer. If your not 99 Fishing, try a granite lobster, it's extra xp on the way for the same time and effort. There's many others but if your set on not even TRYING a skill, so be it. Woah there cowboy. I didnt say there's no familiar I want, but in order to try out said familiar I would have to waste my time raising summoning. I stated that there's no familiar out there which I looked at and said goddamn I need to get myself one of them there familiars and i'm abosolutely going to waste my time raising summoning to get it. [/hide] And im saying unless you actually TRY the familiars, your not going to find one that makes you go goddam! If your saying your not trainin cause it costs alot, thats a different story, but as for a waste of time, i beg to differ. The time i have saved myself on slayer tasks / RCin so far , far outweighs the time i spent running off my charms for lvls. If nothing else, it's total lvls + xp. As for costs, did you stop yourself with construction? It's worse than summonin, unless you have a guilded alter, it's not worth it. At the end of the day, it's your choice, but what i am trying to say is go out there and try it, you never know, the chance are you might actually like it. I don't believe it's worth the combat level gain. I like to play things like clan wars and no summoning gives me an edge over my foes. At combat level 98 I will be 99 attack, 99 strength and 99 hitpoints. With, say, 80 summoning i'll be lvl 108. When i'm pking it's ok because the levels don't count but I wouldn't find getting destroyed by everyone my level in places like clan wars as fun. I'd be taking a big risk raising summoning. Risking my non-pking enjoyment. I would need to see evidence of the level of ownage a familiar could be so that I can see the risk and the hassle of raising summoning as worth it. So far no familiar has caught my eye.

  14. Did you bother to read this thread and the arguments within, or did you just jump right in? Could you provide some explanation as to why the torso rules? If he is 99 defence and still uses torso you can rest assured none of the arguments in this thread will sway him. I'm 99 defence, and I'm always open to new ways of training, equipping myself, etc :? Yes but the arguments in this thread are extremely weak, and mostly based on 'torso is liek uber lame bcuz u cud mke muny insted of getin torso' and he has already stated he has two.

  16. My highest summoning level is 4 on my main. I get along quite fine, there's been no familiar that's made me feel I absolutely must waste my time with summoning (I still collect all my charms just in case).
  17. This was funny as a joke but if Jagex really do bring out sailing as a skill I will lose what little faith I have left in them.
  18. You set up an almost impossible series of restrictions that applied to very few people beside you; he was simply poking fun at that. Almost impossible? 45 defence is almost impossible? Clearly you haven't got the first clue about pures OR pking (since zerker pures are dominant at combat 92 - 106). For your information there are more 45 defence 'pures' then there is 1, or 20 defence pures. Very few people indeed...
  19. Haha, you're real funny. I never knew the Torso was the best item ever. Funny. Tell me a better torso with more strength bonus you can wear at 45 defence and i'll get it. Tell me a better red torso with a black design in the center and chain in its name that you can wear at 60 defense. No? Then of course Dragon Chainbody is the best armor in the game. Did I say it was the best item in the game? At all? Where did you people learn to read? The best items I (<---Might want to look at that letter again, i'll repeat it anyway just in case so don't worry if you still misunderstood it) I can have. I already said in the same quote that was plucked from that i'm talking about my 45 defence account. Torso is the best item I (there it is again, deep breaths, we'll get through this) can wield at 45 defence. He then took that one line out and proceded to ridicule it. Please next time read the whole post BEFORE you act like a moron.
  20. I could've got a 99 stat or a hell of alot of money instead of getting barrows gloves. Therefore using your logic barrows gloves are trash.

  22. 40-65 defence = 412,204 XP, or roughly 50k XP\hour; obtainable by anyone with 50+ combat stats, and most of those 'pures' wearing a torso at 40 defence are a tad higher then 50 strength. But does 45 - 65 defence give sufficient strength increase to warrant raising it to that level? Not all of us are so consumed by defence, and don't mind putting the work in to have the best equipment available. Sure, we could've been training, or making money or whatever, but now we got a nifty torso with great strength bonus and great slash defence bonus. I got 175 quest points on by berserker pure for barrows gloves. I could've probably got a 99 stat in the time it took to complete rfd and get all it's reqs. Do I regret it? Should I have stayed with combat bracelet? Not a chance. I enjoy having the best items I can, on any account i'm on, and I don't mind putting the work in. So fighter torso takes 10 hours to get..Big deal? If you like your account you don't mind putting in time to get good items.
  23. You can get those defence levels in the time it'd take to get the torso, no? I'm talking about people who don't wish to get defence, but even so I doubt you could get 40 - 70 defence in 6 - 10 hours.
