well at 51 mage def stego body did wonders, saggitare body gives 100 mage def, basicly double, along with some decent melee def too (80-100 all around) i think sag body will be my 3rd bind

almost all high level dungeoneers who have owned blood necklaces in the past that I know of, have all destroyed their necklaces in favor for promethium platebodies. i've also heard it's a pain having to equip and unequip the blood necklace because it doesn't work well with the shadow hood. the damage to adjacent enemies can draw monsters when you'd otherwise want to be under concealment. just food for thought. the few times ive seen necklace in action itd dmg didnt cause retaliation, specificly ive seen it used at yk'lagor, and the 40 dmg could hit a mage without letting the mage turn and attack you ive not seen it used in a hood safe room next to a monster, but id like this confirmed first however if you can use the necklace effect and the hood effect at the same time, this will make the combo even better! leeching free hp from humanoids without fighitng them

how on earth did you get that score on a medium!?!? f23 med and you get 36k base xp? that could be 50k with good multiplier damn serisouly 57k prestige base xp, that means u can get 70k xp on med occults!!! either something is wrong with that picture or mediums have become epic edit: lol how do u get "i choose you" Something along the lines of summon 6 or more familiars in one floor (not sure on exact number) then how did he get that insane xp, cuz i know 10-12 min meds are managable, and at those xp rates that would surpass the current method

i took maul on a slay task with me just for lulz, and i was actualy very surprised with its results tons of 600-800+ hits, im so used to fighitng with prom 2h lately that it seems normal speed lol, and 2 hitting things is nice pros: 1. ss flashing is easy, 100-150 hp from 1 flick, basicly get mroe hp per prayer 2. on tasks i cannon i spend alot of time picking up drops, so with rapier i have to attack, run pick up, then attack, but with maul i have enough time to loot drops between hits without slowing down attack speed, in some cases when im looting maul and rapier are the same speed, so id rather get my moneys worth per hit i do 3. on higher def tasks its definately noticable between 94 attack and 167 attack 4. more fun, thats always a bonus 5. what i started doing was hitting with rapier, till theyre like 500-700 hp or less, then doing the finishing hit with maul, basicly like ur scim ->2h combo obviously theres cons to using maul, and rapier is still the better slayer weapon, but i was still surprised it how it did and its mroe usefull on slayer than some think

SkillCapes - Overrated?
99s in general are overrated i know tons of people who would rather have 1 99 than 2 95s, and that is totaly [developmentally delayed]ed i just see 99 as 13m xp reasons why its overrated to get 99 1. you rush to get 99 asap and dont do skills youd actualy like to be doing, you just do 1 skill nonstop which gets boring 2. once you get 99 you never train that skill again i jus train skills as i please and bring them up evenly, once i get 99 in a skill ill continue to train it as i please, maybe ill get 20m xp in the skill or more, i dont see the point in not training just cuz ir 99

Should Endgame Quests Require Awesome Levels?
i agree, if you pay attention to the journals 1-120 dung is the end game grandmaster quest the storyline will finish with wapred floors, and f60 will be the rift floor with bilrach as the final boss

for the cheapest gp/h sw cape is best, but the reason people dont use it is because of str bonus lost from fire cape, and the money saved by sw cape is almost negligable

well the fact that starting larges at 37 is the best xp makes me feel good about doing 36-47 however thats assuming you do 4 minute smalls, a good rush shuold do 2 min smalls and thats including the 30 second wait

of course i have rapier lol, for slayer (points at 8m+ dung xp) the point of that explaination was not to show that you should get maul first, but to show that maul is worth getting at some point 300k tokens atm, hoenstly have no idea what to spend tokens on so im saving till batch 2(maul and rapier makes ls useless), maybe ill be lucky and theylll have some item that costs 1m tokens thats pretty decent (doesnt have to be a weapon, can be something usefull in general), id pay 1m tokens to acess the gatestone spell outside of dung =]

*sigh* People are constantly talking about all skills going to 120. It's not going to happen. It's just bad game design. There's no reason for them to go that high, it unbalances nearly all the current content, and it's an unhealthy paradigm for the game to support (i.e. it makes the game less fun). It just [bleep]s everything up for no reason. So no. It's not realistic. Tell you what, I'll make you a bet. I'll bet you any amount of GP that someone will achieve 200M in all skills before Jagex raises the skill cap in all skills to 120. 10:1 odds in your favor. Name your price. By then end of 2011 there will be at least 1000 players with 1 stat at lvl 120. 2 years 2,000 , 3 years 4,000, 4 years 8,000 and so on. I predict in 5 years they implement lvl 120 accross the board. Dungeoneering going to lvl 120 was just a the first step, what do you think the level cap on the next new skill will be. 120 I bet. Look at WOW. They add levels right on top of the ones they have. Of course, huge parts of their game became dead, but they don't have the unique skill system that rs does which helps recycle older content. it may be a player-level issue, but i feel its a content issue my prediction: some skills have little or no content from 80-90, attack weapons end at 80, defense ends at 70-78 however, once all 24 skills have content from full from 1-99, such as high lvl pots and prayers were added, then maybe once theres combat gear that takes 90 or 95 attack and def then maybe finaly in a few years theyll have filled all skills with content up till 99, and the number of people with 99s will be incredible, probably 99 str required to get in the top 1m within 5 years this is when theyll have to raise it to 120, for players to seperate lvls based off xp in skills like str, to give new goals to the 10k+ people whove maxed total by then, and to add content for 100+ stuff in 5 years the xp/h in skills may be 50% faster overall than it is now meaning 120s may be needed, then such as dung (maybe not to such an expoential degree) skills will be faster traininng at 119 than at 99, so realy by then its not 8x harder, more realisticly 4x harder hour-wise and much mroe motivation to train i see this as happening 100%, its only a matter of time

i bought maul solely for wfs tasks, anyone who says a 1 task weapon isnt worth the time 1. if i dont spend the tokens on items id just spend it on 200k xp instead - 200k xp takes 2h - assume maul is 10 mins faster than zs -assume wfs task is 1 in 15 -after 180 slay tasks ill have got my time back -maul can also better utilise your triple charms for being paid back after only 5m slay xp thats definately decent also i dont see it as "just speeds up 1 task" but it literaly makes one of the slowest tasks a good deal faster, making a fast task even faster with rapier may save you 3 mins, but making a slow task faster realy packs a punch in ur overall slay xp/h just my 2 cents on the maul for slaying matter

Apparently Double of all drops (Coins, Charms, Gems, but not bones of course), and apparently Ork Legions drop Triple charms. That's pretty awesome. Looks like killing Bork is going to be a new daily for me. is that perm effect or wearing plate? also killing minis might be worth it too, at worst thats.....10 blue 14 crim 4 green 12 gold, nearly 20k summon xp for 3 mins work

i only do 36-47 large, since 12 larges avgin 90k xp is fine by be, rather than 18 larges averaging 80k xp c1 rushing only takes like 1-2h anyway so id rather do only my top floors, basicly i still get 8-9h of larges for 900k and 1-2h of rush for 10k, thats over 1m xp per round of 10h, over 100k xp/h and i aint even pro

excuse me for nt being good at quoting just 1 sentence in a post "I'd like to see you slash/crush hobgoblins, forgotten rangers, brutes, guard dogs, hellhounds, and DRAGONS DAMMIT hobgoblins are weak to crush rangers are weak to slash brutes dont exist lol guard dogs dont exist helhounds are a pain, true but they are little offensive threat dragons are quite rare, maybe 1 per floor that needs killing so yea 2 of those examples are true, maybe 1.5 to be more accurate (psst id like to see any single skeleton in occult get stabbed, or a forgotten warrior whos using plate + legs) also 8 str adds about 20-25 dmg

cant bother quoting them all, but i definately have to dissagree with some things here "range is better for many bosses, necro trio gravecreeper and yk" 1. necro has to be ranged, obvious example 2. ive never ranged trio but i can solo a 5:5 trio with melee in no time 3+4. both of these bosses you have to be right next to them in melee range to kill, so why on earth would you stand directly next to a boss and range it when melee will do 2x the dmg? seriously i hit consistent 700s on yk and grave if you are dumb enough to stand back and range from a distance, gravecreeper will range you too which is unprayable and ull get downed pretty quickly, same case with yk's mage except worse if you range yk from a distance on a team i was in, id definately kick you because if 1 person is out of melee range then he will mage everyone in the room for cosistent 200-400s, so yea ggr 1-2k dmg and 5-10 eels per hit just because your reflex's arent good enough to get to the pillar also in a solo dung i have ranged yk and with 180 range bonus i hit about 50% of the time, as opposed to 80-90% with melee and about 70% with mage moving on, i do think leather bodys are underestimated and i definately want a sag body, but only sag since leather bodys mage def goes up rapidly at the end, every tier counts with range bodys with melee weapons for exampel, 1 tier = 5% more str bonus t9 body = 66 mage def t10 body = 83 mage def, t11 body = 100 mage def, so yea with bodys t11 may be the only truely usefull one, no melee gear will improve over 150% in 2 tiers lastly to sonik "primal longsword will become the best 1h weapon" not a chance, baxe is the same speed as longsword and has about 8 higher str bouns, more dps than long also long has slash + stab, pretty useless combo baxe has crush + slash, which most people in dung know is the best combo except for spear (slash for zombies and mages, crush for undead and fire giants, slash or crush depending on what a warrior is wearing between plate or chain)
