Sere, I can provide support to your space station program, so that should reduce the time to about 6-7 years.

We havn't really given up on FTL, we just realised how difficult it will be. Of course, once Doom discovers how to mass produce carbon nanotubes we can begin a Dyson bubble which will provide a means for FTL travel.

Thats even more pointless. You might as well just make normal tanks.

Farms are generally two dimensional? What? You are forgetting that there are a lot of supplies needed to grow crops. Water is a main one. How much water can your HAWs store? Not enough to grow crops, thats how much. As for Khazak, my drones will systematically scan the country and eliminate Guerilla troops, it may take a while, but I don't see many other options. I'm glad my drones don't use food.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Those things are stupid. They cannot grow enough food to supply their crews, and with legs that tall they would be easy to smash into. They must also move so incredibly slowly that my drones could climb on it, jam all the guns, and then dismantle it peice by peice as it flails around helplessly. Sending HAWs with convoys would make the convoys incredibly slowly due to the incredibly slow nature of your walkers (10 MPH is pushing it) I would say redesign those things, because frankly, they would be terribly impractical to use in real combat.

If slavery was legal...
Trol's idea sounds decent. Thats basically like having a servent or a butler.

Elysium is my main space station orbiting Earth. It isn't using its full capacity at the moment, so I'm offering it to other nations to build ships in. Also, Doom, you can use some of my factories to produce carbon nanotubes if you so wish. A lot of them are inactive at the moment anyways.

Okay, I think that once we can get the sizes and measurements for the Solar sails down, it will make this easier to work out. So, lets see, assuming that solar sails look like this: About 1.5-3 Km wide, with material about 40 cm thick. Surface area of Sirius is 2.1 x 10^19 meters squared, but we can divide that by four to take into account the space in between each sail... How many Kilometers of coverage will we need? (Sorry for relying on you to do the maths, its not exactly my strong point)
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Pretty sure that my numbers are wrong. Also, we'll need to divide that number by a bit This is the arrangement
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
One second, I think I can work this out. For a material that is 0.8 grams per square meter, we would need 2.17 X 10^20 Kilograms of material. HOWEVER, Carbon nanotubes are less than 0.1 grams per square meter density, so lets just assume they are 0.08 for the sake of simplicity. So, we divide that number by ten, and we get how much material we need. I can offer my Station and Elysium for people wishing to build ships to help with this undertaking, by the way. Also, I think the figures there are a little wrong. Considering that the solar sails aren't very thick at all, maybe 45 cm thick maximum.

Okay, we need a star that is relatively close and can produce a lot of Carbon, so it will preferably need to be red in colour, although I assume yellow would work just fine. Anybody know of such a star? Edit: #-o Sol of course. Well, it would still be easier if we found a red star, but if all else fails I think we can harvest carbon from Sol.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Yeah, we shall do Sirius, since if we did it on Sol we would probably block out the light to Earth and end life as we know it. I can help research Carbon Nanotubes and I'll search around for a source of Carbon. Once we have all the stuff researched and designed, I assume it will take 25 years or so? I'm going to totally stop production on battleships and leave Rhadamanthus IV 1/5 finished in my station, instead diverting all spare funding to creating cargo and harvester ships. (Any estimates on the amount of Carbon we will need?)

Quests are fun.
I like a good storyline. I could care less about rewards.

Okay, well, A Dyson sphere is basically a huge hollow shell, which completely encompasses a star to absorb 100% of the energy it radiates. A Dyson bubble is a series of solar sails which will basically stay still (Statites), they absorb less energy, but they take up far less material and there is no danger of the sails colliding with each other. I imagine they would absorb around 45% of the suns energy. The bubble is much more practical, however, these solar sails need to be constructed from nanotubes if they are to work properly.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Sounds fine to me. Are you planning on helping with the Dyson bubble? I have also begun stockpiling materials for the solar sails. Still need Doom's nanotubes if we are to make this happen though.

You're threatening to go to war over a 5% population difference. -.- Dungeon, the things cost around 40 billion each. I've made 7 over the last 20 years or so. My space construction has been split as so: 15% Rhadamanthus battleships (Seeing as this was 70% a few years ago, and I now have 3 battleship, so production can be reduced) 55% Harvester ships 30% Cargo ships Current figures are: 3 Rhadamanthus class battleships 10 Harvester ships 6 Cargo ships My harvester ships have some production facilities, so they can basically stay near Sirius and produce Solar statites while the cargo ships bring them materials. EDIT: Screw it, I said I would never use ARC cannons on ground troops, but I'm building four of them in orbit to counter all these crazy people with RFGs.

I come across a city full of sleeping soldiers, locate the leader, kill him, and then evacuate everyone else. Rebellion quelled tbh.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Jesus Grim, quit being so heavy handed. There would have been no reason to use RFGs anyways. I'd recommend people pull their troops out of the target areas, as they will be rendered useless by the gas. Around 600,000 drones have been dispatched.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
I still think walkers are utterly useless. And I assure you trol, my drones will cause zero casualties, unless somebody happens to die of some other disorder. I'm using rubber bullets and sleeping gas. Most civilians have been evacuated, the rest are in for a little catnap. One more good point about drones, try using nerve gas on them, and nothing.

I already blitzed into the country, as did some of the other NWO members. I'm aiming for non-lethal shots, so you still have a decent sized military afterwards. Unlike Grim, who may as well be going "UNG. SMASH KILL DESTROY."

The coolest teacher you've ever had?
My old history teacher. He actually made learning fun, by continually mocking every single famous historical figure with random facts about them, and just being sarcastic about everything. He also made a heck-ton of immature jokes, which we found absolutely hilarious at the time. I can't really put how funny he was into words. I still remember the day he left, there were banners up all over the school, and graffiti was everywhere.

Like 10+ days ago. I'm altering the shape of my ARC crystals so they can focus the beam more and not just act like torches.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Fine. I'm still going to make my harvester ships, simply because they're useful in other things as well.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Yesyes, go ahead with your plan. I'm already researching something :-w I would need your ships to help as well. And Doom's... A Dyson bubble would take a hell of a lot of work, remember. Its still more viable than a full dyson sphere, and still produces enough energy for ftl travel. We also need Doom's carbon nanotubes. And a lot of them. I'm going to build 5 more harvester ships to help with the Dyson bubble. One thing that might motivate you: If we are the only people who helped build it, we can sell said batteries for a lot of money.

Walka, I've been using that kind of stealth for like 25 years now. Did you by any chance see it on Cracked.com? Whats happening with this FTL project? Are we giving it the go ahead?
