  1. While I can see where you are coming from, apparently the resource they were after was vitally important to humanity's ongoing survival (According to canon, anyway), so by denying the humans access to this unobtanium, the Na'Vi were essentially saying "We aren't letting you touch our ball. Sure, you don't have a ball of your own, or any fun toys to play with, but if we let you use ours, you might get it dirty". Except that the humans will die if they do not get to play with the ball. All the humans were asking for was mining right that, if negotiated and worked out in a peaceful way, would not have hurt the ecosystem or their world mind to any significant degree and would have helped humanity greatly.
  2. I couldn't help but support the humans in Avatar. I mean, they tried Diplomacy, even going so far as to sink hundereds of thousands into research to make it easier on the natives, and when all attempts at that failed, they tried to get them to move with force, but they tried to do it humanely in a shock and awe campaign. It just seems like the humans got screwed over by the hippy cat people. They could have just nuked it from orbit and then mined the barren, lifeless rock dry, but no, humanity is better than that. Avatar is a feature of a lot of the "HUMANITY [bleep] YEAH" threads on /tg/, so yeah.
  3. I assume by your statement there that you have not seen the 3rd movie? The 3rd movie recieved a lot of flak, but I honestly enjoyed watching it. It is brilliant in comparison to most movies out there, but I think that since many people didn't think it was as good as the first two, it's bad points were exaggerated more than they should have been.
  4. I'm still going to watch it. Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the few series' which has not plummeted in quality when a sequel is released. I'm really hoping they can manage not to screw it up now, since they've done so well thus far.
  5. Mmm. TSFH's "Dynasty" album has a track called "Racketeers". That's the one. I actually think it sounds better than the one they did use.
  6. Ranger, Paladin, Fighter (Fighter is boring though)... Uuuh, anything which can be a dedicated melee class.
  7. Mmm... Wonder who will prevail. Offtopic, but I was kind of shocked at it: I heard the pirates of the caribbean theme come on, looked at which track it was, and apparently TSFH did a remake of it. Or the original, which would be pretty kickass, but I think it's a remake.
  8. Oh good, now to throw loads of undead into the campaign  Sure, whatever, but I'm not letting it get any upgrades or boosts.
  9. Polymorph was always one of the most abusable spells. I'll be limiting it quite a lot.
  10. Yeah, that would be cool. Means I just need to grab the token and then paste the stats in.
  11. Oh god... Summoning. Slows down the game horrendously. Still, it should work. Kind of.
  12. I don't have anything prepped, sorry. I'll try to scrape something together for tommorow though, since Icu still needs a character I think.
  13. 23:22
  14. 23:00 GMT, or midnight GMT. Whichever is convenient to everyone playing.
  15. Grim, it just looks rather overpowered to me So yeah, rule zero basically. What about the generator are you having trouble with?
  16. Retech, for that kind of scenario, I'm just going to do a "Fade to black", because the last thing I want to do is turn games into fetish fuel.
  17. EARTH, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO USE YOUR OLD CHARACTER, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH ONE.
  18. Grim, no Malcovnvoker, sorry. Level adjustment decreases the amount of xp you earn, apparently. I'm really not sure by how much it is... Tell you what, how about we get rid of the racial spells the drow has, and then get rid of that level adjustment.
  19. Whichever you like. We're starting a new campaign using the world I made anyway.
  20. It gimps you horribly and irreversibly in the late game. Or something like that. I'm not too sure.
  21. 3.5 is what we were playing before, so yeah.
  22. Earth, you can use your original character again. Or you can make a new one. I don't mind. http://www.pathguy.com/cg35lite.htm
  23. Grim, post the class summary and I'll check it. It doesn't even look like a poll is needed to be honest. 3.5 it is!
  24. Seraphi replied to Seraphi's topic in Off-Topic
I always switch to whichever weapon the monster I'm fighting is weak against. People who don't do this, I find annoying. If they're using a weapon that the monster is fairly weak to anyway, then it's alright, but THUNDER IS NOT GOOD AGAINST LAGIACRUS. Especially when somebody decides that his Wyvern Blade "Fire" would be perfect for use against Rathian. Or, the worst example I've seen, when somebody decides that their Vulcanvil ® (Seriously? Who uses that...?) would be cool to use against Jhen.
  25. Okay, after talking with some people about this, it really does seem that you guys want to play 3.5 instead of 4, despite what I say. Really, I don't care which I run, I find both fun to DM for, so yeah. I've requested that Doom create a poll to decide once and for all which edition to use, so it's up to you guys now.
