I dunno, it just seems unnecessary. What did you have in mind? About the second handbook... Well, I'm not so sure. I'll allow the classes, but lets just stick with the core races, okay?

Monster Hunter
Uuuh, don't have my code written down. I'll try to remember the next time I go online (Tommorow). I finally got the rusted lance, as well. I also upgraded to Spiral Splash (b). I know green is better, but it would mean waiting another 6 HR to kill high rank Lagi, and I'd rather just make another one when I get to that point anyway.

GMT. So basically, get the highest guard I can on Rathian+, then switch to Agnaktor/custom set when I get 40 HR?

Monster Hunter
I got rank 35 now. I also started practising using the lances counter, since up till now I've been ignoring it. I'm pretty good at it now. I still get hit by the occassional Rathian fireball because of crappy timing on my part, but I think my damage output has increased quite a damn lot. I'm thinking of getting Rathian+ armour and gemming it with guard+2, since it's my favorite skill... I have a guard+5 talisman, so it should be pretty easy. Would you suggest sticking with my low rank Agnaktor armour, or gemming Rathian+ with guard? Also, I got 2 Rathian Rubys and a Rathian plate in 2 quests earlier. When I told my team about the second ruby, everyone raged at me. It was pretty funny.

Just the core rules. Thanks for the upload Grim, it refused to work for me.

Archi, you'll need to show me how to do it. I'm thinking that I'll have free vision, but it will be FoW as well, so you can see through other characters eyes, but everything else will be obscured.

Dungeons & Dragons
Mmm.. Kind of, but I'm not so sure. I felt really claustrophobic, like I didn't know where anything was and was always trapped. Plus, I am trying to recreate the tabletop element... What do you guys think? Also, has everybody who wants to play read the players handbook? It details how to create a character, as well as the basic rules of 4e. You'll all be in a mercenary company at the start, for plot convenience, so try to incorperate it into your character backstory. You don't need to, but hey, it kind of helps.

Ye Olde Hegemony
The sea doesn't really have much terrain. Any smart admiral will stay out of reefs, so that's out of the window, and storms basically affect both sides equally... I think you're confusing strategy and tactics, Dusty. You just need to do something like "If the enemy ships do X, then we do Y, if not, then use plan Z which I told you about earlier. If the chance is given, activate W, wherupon my forces shall retreat to point V, do U, and begin preperations for T" Where the enemy is doesn't particularly matter. You just need to include another instruction in case of a certain terrain type IE "If there is a reef nearby, try to move around it so the enemy cannot engage us at close range" That is more or less what I've been doing, anyway.

Bees are cool. Wasps, on the other hand, are the trolls of mother nature.

I mean in general mind [bleep]ery terms. Courage has gotta be in the top 3, at least.

The Back Room
It was heavily implied that the kid with the plank in that show was heavily schizophrenic/Autistic. The most disturbing childhood show was probably Courage the cowardly dog. PS. I found this image fairly amusing [hide] [/hide]

Dusty, why don't you create your own medieval weaponry which you believe will be super effective, submit it to Retech, and then get an estimate of how powerful it will be, how much it will cost, and if it will be effective in certain situations. You can do this, it isn't an ability reserved solely for Archi. Modify an existing design, create something new, ask how much it would cost and how long it will take to research, etc. I've done it plenty of times, and thus have several aces up my sleeve in case I ever need to use them.

Swap blue and white, and then put purple at the top and you have the sharpness guage in Monster Hunter. Gah. Sorry. I'm an addict.

By the way, do you guys want to run it with limited sight, or very open? Like, do you want to be able to see the other players vision as well?

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
Elder scrolls always suffered from uncanny valley syndrome, though. They might be able to fix it with the new one. Maybe.

I still don't really like it. I think it's giving too much power to a single player. Why can't Edel just start as a normal country?

I couldn't accept somebody else spending money on my behalf for something like that. i'll find a way. Tinyupload might work. I'll try that.

Dungeons & Dragons
But in 3.5, fighters were completely useless. Wizards had all these cool, varied spells to use, wheras fighters were: *Full attack* *Wait* *Full attack* *Wait while the wizard uses a spell to nuke the enemies ranks* *Do nothing, every monster was killed by the magic users* in 4e, every class gets powers to use. The magic user powers are generally more magic orientated, and the rogue, fighter and paladin powers are more interesting than full attacking ten times until you kill a single enemy. They didn't so much neuter casters as make them balanced. We never played to above level 4, so it wasn't apparent, but around level 8 or 9 or so, the wizard would be annihilating everything while the fighters stood back and couldn't do much since the wizard destroyed everything too quickly. Are summon monster spells really that big a deal? I mean, I'm just asking you to try it for a few games. If we find that we aren't having as much fun as 3.5, we can go back to it afterwards. PS. Grim, have you found any way to upload the core rulebooks, by any chance?
