  1. Action points are things you can use to modify rolls. They don't come up often, so don't worry about it too much.

Ah, well, my TV is on the blink at the moment, so unfortunately I can't get online today. should be fixed by tommorow, though. Username is Jake (Long story, don't ask) And yeah, I think somebody over at capcom screwed up. There are no EU event quests, even though there is a sandstorm.
  3. We shall see, Dusty. I think you underestimate us.
  4. I just don't like the idea. People have tried to mix 3.5 and 4 before, and it has never worked. You have no idea how many threads have tried, failed, and given up attempting to do this.
  5. Nonono, powers are a very integral part of this system. It doesn't balance it, it's just sort of shoving it in for no real reason. It just seems like a bad idea. As I recall, many people had trouble with the confusing spell tables and such when we played before anyway... 4e fixes that. No confusing lists to memorise or anything.
  6. There isn't a way. Later on, you get spells like "Wall of Iron" which isn't immediatly useful and inherently combat related, but can still be abused to hell and back in ways the don't revolve around combat. Of course, combat spells are an issue, and I don't think I'll want to use it, but I am curious, so go ahead and tell me what you had in mind.
  7. More or less, yeah.
  8. Nothing wrong that I can see.
  9. Riveting post. Would read again.
  10. That is strange, Earth. Uuuh... I guess you need to read through the creating a character section as well.
  11. If you want to play, you're going to need to read through the basic rules and your class section. After you do this, you need to use the links to the 4e character generator on the last page and the point buy calaculator to create a character. In fact, here they are: http://www.asmor.com/scripts/4eAbilityScores/index.php http://www.pathguy.com/cg4.htm
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YvTte-RV4g&feature=related Aww man, Media tags don't work with youtube repeat links. http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch/?v=_YvTte-RV4g&feature=related
  13. 300 or so pages. Though only about 60 of them are relevent. You did say you loved reading, so it should be a snap, right?
  14. No, Earth. You need to make a 4e character. Read through the players handbook, then use the links on the last page to create a character. There isn't an SRD for 4e, as far as I am aware. Archi, I have no idea how to set up macros. When I do the test map, It'd be cool if you could inform we of how to do that, as well as how to change vision distances for people.
  15. Er... No, Earth. We're playing a different edition. Also, it'd be cool if you guys had your power cards (Or something that has power statistic) readily available, since that way combat will be smoother.
  16. Tough, yes, but if characters are getting slaughtered left right and centre, then there is probably a problem, or you are playing Tomb of Horrors.
  17. Well, if things seem too tough, I'll fix the balancing slightly.
  18. Nah, they'll judge you based on how I think somebody would judge you. I mean, at the start, if you burn a town, then the next town you go to might have heard of somebody burning a town, but unless you literally shout "I BURNED THAT TOWN AND HERE IS THE HEAD OF THE MAYOR AS PROOF", then they're only going to be mildly suspect, based on the direction you came from. Of course, at later levels you get more well known, so people may be slightly prejudice against you because they heard a story where you killed some guys cousin's brother's friend's dog.
  19. Grim found one. I tend to make them overly complex, this just tells you "Follow the red arrows" in a comforting tone. http://www.pathguy.com/cg4.htm We're starting at level three. Use point buy. http://www.asmor.com/scripts/4eAbilityScores/index.php That would be unaligned, I guess. Possibly evil. Just choose one of those and I'll accept it as what you want your personality to be.
  20. I'm building my own, so get ready to set sail for fail. Here, a world map I made a few days ago at 5:00AM in about 10 minutes. 50 points if you manage to guess the plot within 2 minutes of looking at it! [hide] [/hide] There. I figure that revealing information about all the locations right now would be stupid, since it would kind of be metagaming.
  21. Awesome. Grim, would you mind helping me learn the system in a little while? I'll just throw you into a room with a few low levelled monsters and then I can learn as I play, because reading these books can only get me so far. I think 4e is fairly simple to understand, so yeah. EDIT: This might help. I haven't checked it out yet, but from the screenshots it looks like it could lighten the load quite a bit. http://www.asmor.com/programs/digitalsquire/index.php SECOND EDIT: This too. http://www.koboldstyle.org/stuff/4eCribSheet_kiznit_v1.1.pdf THIRD EDIT: Also, a complete list of every power card. We probably don't need it, but it's nice to have I suppose. http://www.mediafire.com/?9yigxywq1zc
  22. The trade route to end all trade routes.
  23. The trade route could pass through the Cathedral Terra and into France as well
  24. Ah. Fair enough, real life takes precedence.
  25. Nope, no Drow. You have Dragonborn, Dwarf, Eladrin, Elf, Half-Elf, Halfling, Human, and Tiefling. Just make the typical highborn, arrogant elf character you usually do, you predictable muppet :P
