  1. I'd say focus on dealing as much damage as possible. Max out on mage bonus while maintaining some def. (Nessy helm, ah top and bottoms) Maybe consider a competed zammy book for range and mage att bonus (and pray bonus). Boots I'm not too sure, as they get really expensive for such a small bonus (I'd say mystic boots, +3 mage for 20k). Bolts, rune c'bow+dragon (e) bolts are epic (i've hit up to 58 in normal armour, 66 in void potted+pray @ 99 range). And yeah, ancient staff for autocasting ancients (which increases the speed of magic by one). Also, if an Ava's works through ahrims top, use it, if it doesnt use a god cape (+10 mage bonus) and just pick up your bolts. D'bow+D arrows aren't a bad idea, if your opponent starts praying mage. Those are just suggestions I can think of, as I'm not too experienced in hybriding, as look at my mage level ;)
  2. I'm about to get 79 summon =D So I was wondering would titans offer any superiority over the bunyip,as you never mentioned anything about titans in your post? Scrolls cost like 350 ea, but that's not really a problem. I'm just wondering if the cost/price (and risk of having the titan lure the other kings?) is worth it. (Its like 24 hp compared to 16 every 2 minutes right?)
  3. That sounds just like me. I have around 70 tasks done from him and I've never gotten abby specs, bloodvelds, dusties, waterfiends, mith drags, or anything else. All I can remember for the last month is probably fire giants, black demons, iron dragons, black dragons, and hellhounds. (I have Steels, Kapphies, and Greaters blocked).

  5. You do get hit (doing it Zil style). Its almost unavoidable to be hit, as at every corner turn he can melee/range you unless you time it exactly right.
  6. For the melee/range method (as you have nothing there I can see), I generally like the same gear used for hybriding DKs. I use Verac's Helm, Karil's Top, and Verac's Skirt. (Fury, obby/99/fire cape, zerker ring/archer/warrior/life, ranger/snakeskin/dragon boots, and RFD gloves/regen/cb brace). For weapons I generally like SGS for first form and Crystal Bow for second. You could substitute a whip+defender or whip+DFS (or any other GS in that case), then bring a rune c'bow and some diamond bolts. Surprisingly, Karil's X-Bow performs very well here and worked much better than Crystal Bow when soloing.

  9. Well you lose +3 pray and +3 mage def but idk.
  10. Without a suicider, can't you just run in with SGS, beat up on Supreme (go up ladder if rex gets on you)? Once Supreme is dead, run up the ladder to get Prime off you, then come back down and sneak around the southern edge to the Rex spot.
  11. Thinking about it, I believe that Range Attack bonus *shouldn't*? Because then wielding a full crys bow that has +100 range bonus will make your cannon hit epicly better? I think not.
  12. So, if I'm reading it correctly, range level DOES affect the cannon, but range attack bonus DOES NOT?
  13. Reading the posts and your main post, it seems that some of your information about the Cannon contradicts itself? I would like to know after your tests if range level affects its accuracy, and range bonus, as then it may change my cannoning inventory/gear. Right now, I'm assuming it does not, so I just wear my bandos and no range pots.
  14. Well you'd have to switch for each spell, so its not really that effective. As you can only cast one spell from a different spellbook per "Spellbook Swap".
  15. If you've done DT, I'm almost 100% sure you can switch ancients. My 98 mage friend has barraged me in pits on lunar so I assume you can =)
  16. I personally just use Guthans body, as I own full guth and guth body/helm has same def as torag/dh body and torag's helm. (Guthans skirt is weaker)
  17. I'm guessing rex doesn't have much mage def, so I'd stick with elysian/divine to reduce the damage taken, lengthening your trips =)
  18. After a while after 99 range, I've decided to go trim it =p Now, I'm going for 99 mage, and I would like to know opinions on: 1. Bursting/Barraging skeles (where you use chins, ape atoll) 2. Bursting Lobs 3. Solo maging DKs (claws, dart, or fire wave?) 4. Fire waving metals and 5. Approx, EXP rates/hr for each. Note that I don't really care about the price, as I'm pretty sure I can cover it (lets go with a 60m cap).
  19. Recently sold my SGS for AGS. I personally did like the SGS, as it could get me through tasks with like hellhounds without any food (with a bunyip, of course). But generally, I found that the bunyip was healing me enough in all other tasks, and with hellhounds, since they drop just charms, 12 monks in inv would solve the problem. As I also enjoy boss hunting, the AGS was superior, as it helped the team rather than just myself. Yes, AGS can hit 60/70+, but I hit many 0s too, which is its downside. SGS can hit 40+ healing 20, but those hits were rare and I averaged in the 15-30s, which healed me from 10-15 basically. SGS = More for general use and such, also its good for soloing bosses and such. AGS = More fun (in my opinion), used for PvP, used for crashing/team boss hunting. The main point I bought it was for the fun lol. Both GS's to me are both not really worth it, but I enjoy walking around with a 60m item lol. Other factor is fun. Games are meant to be fun, so what's not fun about hitting huge numbers with AGS spec on a task :thumbsup:
  20. Stats in sig, I can get one kill with a tort+SGS (i know, its kinda sad =p) But if I use terrorbird+range and run around ranging him, i get 3-4 kills usually.

  23. With SGS (i'm too poor to buy an ags =p) do you run and spec a minion, or spec Graardor himself? I'm willing to give this a try (with melee) with my bad stats =) BTW for the ranging section, maybe add a section to kill him Zil style? I've brought terr bird+ran around like a noob shooting him before, worked pretty well but him being bigger, still got hits off here and there at corners.
  24. You might want to consider a section with melee void+GS's. I ate KBD alive with an AGS that way ^^
  25. I have both bunyip+SGS, but I still use guthans. At places like DKs and tanking for Bandos, this is really helpful =) Generally, bunyip+SGS can get me through all tasks, except hellhounds probably. I've gotten unlucky once, was down at 43 hp because they deal dmg faster than bunyip can heal, and spec'd double 0s with SGS. I used my Guth there to heal off to full ^^ or else I woulda been dead/ROL'd/sitting there waiting for bunyip to heal me =p Bu yeah, generally, bunyip itself can get me through alot of things without SGS even. Back before I had SGS, when I was whipping tasks, bunyip kept me alive @ like fire giants without the help of guthans. If I were you, I'd buy it, because I'm a stackable/non-inventory-intrusive HP obsessive person lol. I love using bunyip with SGS and guthans, though I rarely have to turn to guth. I'm imagining once I hit 88 summon I can get crazy amounts of healing at DKs and Bandos =)
