  1. I would agree with Evanescence, but Nightwish and Epica are actually quite intellectual bands. Although I'm not really ashamed of anything I listen to. Scouting for Girls is actually rather good in my opinion.
  2. Scouting for Girls. Oh, the shame.
  3. Insomnium - Mortal Share In my opinion, the best melodic death metal band.
  4. The Mars Volta - Metatron I've been really getting into TMV recently. Totally mad, totally awesome.

  11. Will do. I guess I could recommend you Primal Scream. "Screamadelica" is a good place to start. It's kind of alternative rock mixed with Madchester and acid house.
  12. lol lol [2] Primal Scream - Movin' on Up
  13. [hide=Porcupine Tree - Lazarus]As the cheerless towns pass my window I can see a washed out moon through the fog And then a voice inside my head, breaks the analogue And says "Follow me down to the valley below You know Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul" I survived against the will of my twisted folk But in the deafness of my world the silence broke And said "Follow me down to the valley below You know Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul" "My David don't you worry This cold world is not for you So rest your head upon me I have strength to carry you" (Ghosts of the twenties rising Golden summers just holding you) "Follow me down to the valley below You know Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul Come to us, Lazarus It's time for you to go"[/hide] [hide=Opeth - Hope Leaves]In the corner beside my window There hangs a lonely photograph There is no reason I'd never notice A memory that could hold me back There is a wound that's always bleeding There is a road I'm always walking And I know you'll never return to this place Gone through days without talking There is a comfort in silence So used to losing all ambition Struggling to maintain what's left Once undone, there is only smoke Burning in my eyes to blind To cover up what really happened Force the darkness unto me[/hide]

Crying out of it being beautiful, sad or frustrating? Beautiful: Porcupine Tree - Lazarus Sad: Opeth - Hope Leaves Frustrating: Sunn O))) & Boris - Her Lips Were Wet with Venom
  15. Porcupine Tree. Get "Lightbulb Sun" for a nice acoustic album with some syrupy love ballads. Get "Deadwing" for something more metal. Get "Fear of a Blank Planet" for a progressive rock masterpiece. Get "On the Sunday of Life" for something creepy and oh-so-[bleep]ing-awesome.

  17. I don't think I can really name a single band that's overly popular in their own country. And I think alot of people listen to Sigur Rós to be "trendy" and "cool"; their music (especially the early stuff, their new stuff is definitely abit crap) is far too niche for the mainstream audience that I'm seeing everywhere. I dunno. This wins the award for being mind-blowingly strange.
  18. I take a potato chip.... AND EAT IT! Anyway. Death Note is boring. It's overrated and pointless; fangirls and fanboys ruin it also.
  19. A little bit less metal and so on. Pink Floyd Porcupine Tree Sigur Rós Jesu My Bloody Valentine Opeth Neu! Dark Tranquillity Amon Amarth M83 Swallow the Sun
  20. Sigur Rós is great, I love post-rock/shoegaze. Jónsi's voice is amazing. Björk is admittedly rather meh. I misread the lyrics. :P Also, watch Heima; that proves that Sigur Rós has quite the Icelandic fanbase.
  21. I've used Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora and they're all pretty good. A little impractical for use every day though. Plus I've found support for wireless network adapters to be dire. All of the drivers are very basic and inspecific unlike ones for Windows; atleast that's what I've seen from Linux anyway. Fedora is awkward due to no closed-source drivers or anything being included; with Debian you can get them from APT. (Same with Ubuntu).
