  1. But they aren't. And it's ignorant teens that say they are.
  2. Bringing this back to life. Hate to sound clichéd, but the Metal Gear Solid series has such an amazing soundtrack. MGS1 OST - Synth driven and ambient electronica. Fits the 'industrial' scene of the game well. See: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cE1QePupDfM MGS2 OST - Orchestral yet still maintaining a sense of ambience. Exactly like film music. See: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7j0_ZoPigMY MGS3 OST - Orchestral and dramatic, lots of attack from the brass section. Slightly jazzy feel. See: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=juH0HUVNnwk Yet to listen to the MGS4 OST, but I'll make sure to edit in or post what I think of it when I get around to it. Silent Hill 3 has an awesome OST also. Ambient rock and it really sets the scene for the game. See: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LyoGrx4-nDA tl;dr Konami games have amazing soundtracks
  3. Akira Yamaoka - A Stray Child From the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack. This man is an absolute genius.
  4. The only Viking metal band I've ever bothered with is Amon Amarth. Children of Bodom - Red Light in My Eyes, Part 1 Still having some sort of binge on CoB.
  5. I'm not even gonna bother with it; the series was just something I watched to kill time.
  6. I [bleep]ing lol'd. Because it's my exact sentiments.
  7. I own an unbranded guitar and amp which I bought off a friend for £30. Hardly sounds good, but I don't want it to sound all fancy.
  8. What exactly do you have against Tech-Death? Or are you judging it only from that Necrophagist garbage? I guess he shares my opinion: boring [cabbage] is boring. Anyway, go listen to Radiohead. OK Computer or The Bends.
  9. Metal Gear Solid OST - Discovery Beautiful french horn over a driving synth line. Really good stuff.
  10. Beastie Boys - The New Style in b4 lol beastie boys
  11. I don't have that much Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes is the only album of theirs I have which isn't a live album or a compilation. But yeah, Dante's Inferno is pretty badass. Led Zeppelin - In My Time of Dying
  12. What's the point in this album when I could simply listen to Iced Earth?
  13. I used to like Modest Mouse when I was a hipster. Oh wait, I still do, I still am. I just listen to metal as well now. Iced Earth - Dante's Inferno
  14. Good stuff. Makes me wish I could do death growls again.
  15. You need to be more eclectic. Katatonia - Teargas The best thing that Katatonia have ever written.
  16. This. It's crap and full of viruses anyway.
  17. Such a great loss to the prog world. :'( For those that don't know, he was Pink Floyd's keyboardist. http://ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM ... rXqJB3BnmA
  18. Yep. I usually end up concentrating on the music instead. But I heard that if you don't do this then classical "supposedly" helps with studying. it doesn't. classical music makes me anxious. Classical helping with studying is a crock of [cabbage]. I just like to have something on quietly in the background, and classical suits well.
  19. Theatre of Tragedy - To These Words I Beheld No Tongue [bleep]ing long song titles
  20. I think Nightwish should ditch the female singer and become a Katatonia-style 'depressive-rock-but-hey-we-have-goth-elements!' band. Their new singer is good, but the music is total [cabbage]e and apart from The Poet and the Pendulum, Dark Passion Play is really [bleep].
  21. Anathema - Pulled Under at 2000 Metres a Second HOLY [bleep] THIS SONG IS AWESOME
