    Food

Now what would be amazing is to record someone's face as they were reading this thread. The amount of times I've licked my lips, drooled, shocked faced, happy faced, ran to the kitchen to grab food 'cause it's making me hungry... I think someone should secretly do it. :P

    Food

I have before, and my Dad has followed one or two, but could never get it spot on. And if you look at the recipes, even on the first page the differ quite significantly.
  3. I've been playing this for the past two or three months now, and I'm loving it. There's about 10 of us in total who play and we make a pretty decent team with the champs we chose. We usually play 3v3 with a Jax, Shaco and Poppy/Garen and we rarely lose. Jax - OP, Garen - OP, Shaco - Annoying and amazing for back dooring because of his fantastic escaping capabilities. And with 40% extra crit damage at about level 27/28 from the runes, end game crits are nearing 1000 with an AD build. Anyone who wants to play, add me: DarkwebzMitch - Not a big fan of 5v5 unless there's a full 5 premade though. Idiots who I can't communicate with are useless. -.-

    Food

I've never made the actual burger myself - I think I'll have to give it a go though. I think a Big Mac tastes great, admittadly it is probably filled with stuff I'd rather not know about - but if I could get that sauce and whack it on a homemade burger. Mmm. Perfection!

    Food

Well hello Tip.It, it's been a while to say the least... But I couldn't resist a good ol' food topic. :D So, I have a question: Has anybody ever made a perfect Big Mac? Let's be honest, 99.99999% of, well... Everyone knows what a Big Mac is; McDonalds' most prized burger - the most popular burger; the highest selling burger of all time. My Dad is a dab-hand in the kitchen and with countless attempts he has never made the perfect Big-Mac. By all means, they were tasty burgers - but only a smidgen on what a Big Mac has. So, we know what comprises a Big Mac - 3 Pieces of toasted, seaded bread, 2 "100%" beef burgers, lettuce, gerkin and 'the secret sauce'. So from what I can gather, everything is pretty bog standard besides the sauce. Anybody know their recipe? Or had any experiences trying to duplicate fast food fananzas? :D Ape
  6. Hey all. My company (under a provisional name of Base Gaming) is currently raising funds to open a Gaming Centre within the UK. What is a gaming centre, you ask? It's basically a large establishment where people can go to compete competitively, or socially on their favourite video-games on ANY platform. It will house high specification PCs, consoles and so much more. Why do we need your help? Basically, the cost of starting a business like this is... Well... Expensive. We're currently involved in a campaign which many of you may be aware of as it's currently becoming increasingly popular throughout the UK. It's the Barcley's - Take One Small Step campaign. This campaign is a competition for the top 10 start-up businesses within the UK and we're part of it. The top 10 businesses recieve £50, 000 towards their business. How can you help? It's simple. Simply go to this website: https://www.takeonesmallstep.co.uk/Entry/View/670 And on the right you will see "Back this idea" > Enter the security digits and voila - We're one step closer to opening our gaming centre. I hope as an avid gaming community you will all participate. I would also like to thank those who do in advance. PS. - I hope this doesn't get removed, as I've got a funky feeling it might. :( Be a kind soul and let it stay, Rick and I'll open one in Aus for you! ;)

    PICK ME A CAR!

If you're keeping the Hilux stock, I see no problems with it. If, however, you want to add in a decent amount of lift, run say.. 31/33 inch tyres.. then you have potential problem, not just insurance but registration too. Seriously, they are no different to any other ute that has a 4x4 transfer... and if they give you trouble, you can always loophole it via your parent's insurance and list you as a driver... just underestimate how often you would be using it (eg: school and back.. or after school sports, etc). Something that only happens a few times a week, if that. Problem solved? :) And, if you can find the chat.. well done. I don't even know where it is these days  Yeah, true. Well I'd probably go through my parents insurance anyways, it's too expensive otherwise. Any idea on the cost of running something like a Mitsibushi Warrior? Ah, the chat's gone? :| Still keeping in touch with many of the DW crew?

    PICK ME A CAR!

You might want to call up and double check. Hiluxs aren't fast cars, and since minor scratches and dents don't look bad I really doubt many people would bother claiming on them. It's not that it's fast, it's that it would do a heeeeell of alot of damage if I hit another car with it. :P I'd get a mitsibushi (sp?) Warrior if I got a jeep. I might ring up and find out though, but I doubt they'd consider it.

    PICK ME A CAR!

Insurance companies wouldn't touch me on a Hilux, else I'd undoubtedly get a big jeep-thing. I'm quite tall, I've driven a Corsa and just found it ridiculously slow. The Civic would be a dream, especially a Type-R, but again, insurance companies would laugh. My girlfriend has a Rover 25, but they're getting old and I'm sure it's quite hard to repair them due to the liquidation of Rover or something? But that just may be me being over-thinking it. :P I want to go test drive the Suzuki Swift and will hopefully like it. Bit small though, I was looking for a larger hatch-back. Hey Rick, long time no speak. :P I'll make an effort to pop into #Darkwebz sometime soon. :D

    PICK ME A CAR!

Okay, so this is the first topic I've posted in around 3 years so I think a little re-introduction is in order - Hi. I'm Mitch and I'm an addic- Sorry, wrong group, it's becoming a habbit. Just kidding! Hey, I'm Mitch and I'm not an addict! :D But I have been lurking around these forums for a good 5 - 6 years, with time not on my side, I haven't been able to be that active. Re-introduction over, you can all wake up now. So here's the scenario: I've just turned 19, passing my driving test in the June of 2008 (when I was 17 for the lazy, non-mathletes) and I bought a £7500 Citroen C2. In the May of 2009, I was involved in an "accident" which managed to totally write off my car. Now every driver knows that for the first couple of years (when you're young and have recently passed), insurance companies are the bane of our finances; the prices, quotes, "deals" are all unbelievably astronomical. As a named driver, with my Dad as the main driver with maximum no claims bonus, I paid £1300 for the year of insurance on the Citroen C2 1.4ltr Furio. So, back to the story... In the accident, I wrote off the car (damaged it to the extent of where the cost becomes silly to repair, so the insurance company essentially buy the wrecked car off you for the bottom book price), and I recieved £6500 from the insurance. Now, this is where it becomes annoying, complicated, intere--- forget interesting... Just annoying and complicated - I bought a 1.4 Fiat Punto Active (2002 model) in July 2009 for £2000 and overall, the insurance has obviously gone up.... To £3000. I've been paying it monthly, as obviously, not alot of people have a spare £3000 in their bank. Baring in mind, my Dad has lost his max no-claims as they weren't protected (for some silly reason) and this is still under a similar policy to that of the C2. I travel quite alot and the Fiat Punto is, to say the least, unreliable and my Dad has decided that he wants to treat me to a new car (ooooh yeaaaaah). So taking my history into consideration it can't be anything with a large engine size, or anything highly modified. I've been looking at the new Fiat 500 1.4 Sport (the car styled by Diesel), the Suzuki Swift Sport, the new Vauxhall Corsa and the new Renault Clios. I just wanted some advice on which to choose and if there's any other suggestions out there other than the cars I have looked at. :) Sharing experiences with these cars would also be much appreciated. PICK ME A CAR!
  11. OK, as this is my first post back on this forum in about 3-4 years, I'm going to try and make it as worthwhile as possible. :D Funnily enough, you're half in the same boat as me when it comes to decisions regarding your career. Although, I'm actually studying Computer Sciences, but I previously did a foundation course into the subject which covered all aspects (at which point I didn't have a clue what to do). I found your post a little naive in thinking that there is only two elements in producing games. If you read the credits on games, there are sometimes hundreds of people who make the game what it essentially is. This ranges from Graphics designers, storywriters, script editors, 3D modelling, marketing, and so forth. What I'm trying to get at is that there is probably a career in games development for you, but you just have to find what you a) Enjoy and B) Are actually good at. If you're innovative and have ideas that would make a captivating storyline, write a few in a letter and send it off to games companies. Mention that your idea is your own and it's original. Also, send off a copy of your CV or reference (i think that's what everyone else calls it who isn't in the UK. :P) . And don't set your sights too high, I doubt you're going to walk into Lionhead Studios or Blizzard. Look into smaller companies which are situated in an area which you can easily get to. Another thing you have to realise is that there is a billion-and-one people who love gaming and aspire to work in the gaming industry, so try to stand out! I hope this was helpful. :)
  12. That all sounds nice, but schools aren't actually able to afford that sort of luxury. Our school is one of the richest, as far as public schooling goes and wasting chemicals is severely frowned upon, as they're rather expensive. And where would theoretic intelligence come from if it was all practical?
  13. 100% agree with you, although Science and Maths are more-or-less 100% fact and imagination can be 'too far' sometimes(as in ridiculously unconsiderable to the matter kind of 'too far' :P)? And to the post above mine, I find that the older you get, the more respect you are given?
  14. The title is quite generalised, but what I'm asking is rather more specific. Within the UK, there are several examination boards for every different subject which can be taught. For example, in Wales, there are more than 8 examination boards for A-Level Chemistry (AQA, WJEC, etc...), and each board contains different ways of examining pupils of a specific syllabus, and again, each syllabus varies (the content of what is taught changes). My girlfriend is doing the AQA course, and I'm doing the WJEC course and with this, I've found her course considerably easier than mine. For instance, she has modular examinations on each topic. Whereas, I have examinations twice per year on all aspects of the syllabus, not a singular topic. Unfair, or what? In all honesty, I don't know if Universities actually take the board studied into consideration. But their A grade in A Level is alot easier to achieve than an A grade on a WJEC course. That's something I'd alter - All pupils should study the same syllabus to allow a fair chance of getting into Universities. Seeeeeeecondly, the A level course for WJEC changed this year. I studied the 'harder', more former syllabus, again... I find this unfair. The year below me has had chunks and several topics of their syllabus cut out, making it a much lighter, less intense course. If I were to drop back a year, I would find the course alot easier. Again, unfair or what? And to top it all off, I'm leaving at the end of this year and in the summer holidays they're totally rebuilding our common room, to include a pool table, bean bags and a TV. I think you all understand how P'ed off I am. :P What would you change about your education and how they taught it?
  15. My bad, haven't been here in a while. Cheers.
  16. Hey all, I'm trying to design a new tech-help website for Habbo [cough, shameful, I know], but I'm stuck with the Isometric drawing. The Logo I'm after consits of just "HOBTECH.NET" in isometric art. Would anyone be able to write it in Iso-art please? I'm after it to be about 250px X 90px, a little under or over wouldn't really matter as I'm planning on integrating it into a bigger piece of work anyways. It would be much appreciated by the Hobtech team and especially myself. Cheers.
  17. #-o ...I'm not gonna say anything I found that 'quite' hilarious, in all honesty.
  18. Don't have much to say to be honest, bar from one little thing. Pisstake, much? Do it elsewhere.
  19. Hey all. I was in work earlier and we were talking how we met our partners, some through work, some through friends, etc.. But I thought mine was quite unique, so here it is... Leading up to my exams at GCSE, myself and a few others always used to stay behind for extra Maths [geeky, I know, but shh], and then I'd walk home by myself. Everyday at 4pm, I'd walk past this bus-stop and a huge double decker bus would drop a load of students off and that's where I first seen Ceri [my current girlfriend], I was gobsmacked to think someone like her lived so near without me ever seeing her. So, a few times went past and I seen her almost everyday and we'd exchanged looks, etc. Then, to my surprise I recognised someone on that bus and it turned out to be my best friend's cousin. As soon as I realised, I called my friend and said "Hey, need you to ring your cousin and ask him to get the number of this girl on his bus, blonde curley hair, pale and stunning." He did it pretty quick, to be honest and I got the number. We texted and all that, talked on MSN for days on end all the time. So after a few days, she invited me over to hers. So I met her off her school bus and she only lived up the road so we walked up, but barely talked... She was seriously shy. She invited me into her house and we'd had some food and was talking, then her Mum drove down the drive, I'd never seen her move so fast. She took the drink out of my hand, grabbed my stuff and SLUNG me out of her back door. I was quite shocked and adrenaline filled at the same time. I could hear her talking to her Mum and all that, quite contempt, waiting for her to come and fetch me. The next thing I know, a HUGE rotweiler bounced around the corner. I leapt over the wall and into a hedge of nettles and stingies, which I was glad I opted for, rather than being eaten by that dog. I scurried out and ran up her lane. I then realised that my schoolbag was left under her stairs. I couldn't go home without it, so I just decided to be brave and go back. So there I went, back down the lane with the dog barking through the gate, I knocked on the door and her Mum answered, I just said "Hey, is Ceri about?" and her Mum was quite welcoming infact, then in my arms landed my school-bag, Ceri launched it from the top of her landing. What an eventful day that was. But yeah, that was Friday 13th, October 2006 and we've been together since. :) Share your's!
  20. Hey all, I've got a pretty similar problem to Pyro... I've got my Elite for Christmas and just tried hooking it up to Live, but it's failing the connection on something different each time. First of all, it failed the IMCU, then it confirmed on the second go, but failed on the Xbox Live part. I've checked my microfilters, connection through the computer, etc. Any ideas? One problem that I think it may be, is the fact that I have TalkTalk. I've had it for about two months, and it's not the best of ISPs; I must say. Thanks alot in advance.
  21. Out of curiousity - What's the most well-paid sport in the US? I'm guessing it's out of Basketball, NFL and Baseball.
  22. I think it's moreso the fact that he can count down to his death.
  23. Break up from school on the 21st- 21st/PM - Party 22nd - Work. 23rd - Work 24th - Work 'til 9pm, then get some beers and play some CSS. (As I do every Christmas eve) 25th - Play XBL 'til all the Red Bull's gone 26th - Work 27th - Revision 28th - Revision and party in the night. 29th - Revision 30th - Revision 31st - Work, then party. 1st - Revision 2nd - Revision 3rd - Revision 4th - Revision 6th - Revision 7th - Revision 8th - (Birthday) - Go back to school and start my first exam So yeah, I can honestly say... "What a [bleep]ing [bleep] Christmas holiday I'm gonna' have. " But I guess I'm gonna' see my girlfriend alot in that holiday, which will cheer me up.
  24. Trust her, she's the Doc'. No, seriously; she almost is.
  25. This is the part I disagree with. It's Eugenics, and it simply means that those with money can create their own master race, making humans a subspecies. This kind of technology is just wrong. Eventually, it will effectively turn out to be a human-robotic population. It's hard to explain, but there'll be no excitement or differentiation. Everything will be systematic.
