  1. Hooookaayyyy lads. Let's leave it at that. I'm sure Bubsa would find that a high-five would suffice! :P
  2. Woo! I think you're the second person I've seen who's Welsh on these forums in the past 3 years. ('part from Rhys, a close friend of mine). Can you speak it fluently?
  3. The exact thing happened to me a few weeks back, we had a basketball match in Grangetown (A very rough area of Cardiff, in Wales), and I wandered to the nearest shop just to get some suppliments before the game and I'd never been there before, either. It wasn't pleasant, very dark and seemed abandoned. I think I would put it as "The Detroit of Amerca". To be honest, I know I can look after myself if one or two boys my age/a little older than me came shouting the odds... But it's the weapons I'm more worried about. You can't trust society, nowadays; that's what makes my stomach go every now and again. It's usually when I think too hard about situations like that. I understand though, it's very hard to explain.
  4. 4----ish. English, Welsh - (I bet I'm one of the few Welshies on here), French and a little Swedish (Thanks to Az). ^_^
  5. Hey mate, what's up? Haven't spoken to you in months. You're still on my MSN list from the Darkwebz days. I went back into the iRC the other day and damn, it's not like it used to be. We need to get back all the old-schoolers. Hope you're doing good. -Mitch
  6. Why do you have a Y.M.C.A cowboy outfit, Bubsa? If I were American, and I came to the UK for 1 month, I would: - Shop in London for a weekend, I find a day is too short. - Watch an International Rugby game in the Millenium stadium. - Get a girlfriend, here... Just to take her home and say you've got a European Girl. - Eat alot of British foods, in British restaurants. Yes, stay away from McDonalds. - Visit Wales, just to say you've been there. (There's not alot to do here, to be honest. Apart from lots of Rock/Emo/Screamo/Indie gigs) I can't think of alot more, to be honest. I'm a person who dislikes tourist attractions, mind. Hope I helped a little.
  7. This is quite funny... I've only scanned over the thread, but I don't think I've seen anyone say "Just simply talk to them about it, and explain you're unhappy." That would be my suggestion, anyway. If they're good parents, they'll know that making you happy is part of their job, so they may release the pressure a little. Be independant, show how you can study, do well in school, have a girlfriend and hang out with friends all at the same time. You need to manage yourself correctly. Get a diary or something and jot[sp?] down what times you're gonna' study, what times you're gonna' go out with friends, etc. It's a perfect device, which gives your parents a sense of maturity and responsibility. If they can see you're doing that right, they'll most definately let you out later; knowing you won't be messing about outside, attracting strangers. Sorry if I went off the topic a little, didn't have much time to post.
  8. Personally, I've only had experience with Air rifles and shotguns, from when I used to hunt (I'm not a hill-billy, so shh). BUT... Judging by my Counter Strike: Source experience... I'd go with the Desert Eagle or the Kreig. 8-)

I have to say History is the easiest to choose from, it'll pad out 12 pages without a doubt, but to be frank; you'll die of boredom writing it. Find something you're passionate about, and write about that. I was going to suggest studying poetry and writing about how different styles of poetry have come about, who made them come about, when they come about, etc... But then, you need to know alot about poetry. So yeah, think of something you enjoy talking about and enjoy writing- something you have a strong opinion on.
  10. Yeah, but people don't come on here, every day saying "Hey, how was your day at school, honey?" This forum isn't to "chat" as such, it's to "discuss". I find that the two differ, as chat is more relaxed and informal, whereas people tend to discuss on these forums. It's as if most the very interesting/debatable topics have all died out and unless something huge happens soon, there's not gonna' be anything "great" to discuss. Here's another example, I remember the "Do you believe in God?" thread... I think it hit record amount of posts. This flicked EVERYBODYs switch and everybody posted and read it. There's nothing like that anymore. There's nothing big to talk about.
  11. Hey all. I was just sitting here thinking "Damn, I haven't been here for almost a year and they're stilll coming up with new stuff to talk about in Off-Topic." I can remember when there were topics like "Do you prefer Pepsi or Coke?" and all that... But, is there that many things that we're interested in talking about, anymore? I mean, yeah, we'll all talk about the new books, movies and games; there's new ones every week, but will that fade away? Will we all end up not having an "Off Topic" forum? What are your thoughts? I'm finding it hard to explain this, so if anyone can interperet what I mean, can they explain a little better?
  12. http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=Windows%20Movie%20Maker&tag=srch There ya' go. I think that's it.
  13. Please can you go here: www.speedtest.net And post a screenshot of the results, please?
  14. I've always used a PC + Photoshop to graphics design, too... But seeing as my uncle's the expert, I just took his word for it. But, I'm sure when I was playing about with his Mac, I wasn't using Photoshop. Maybe he was using a program which is exclusive to Mac, only. -shrug- I'm unsure. :P
  15. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure why. My uncle is a professional graphics specilist and he's always used Macs, as he thinks they're better. I don't know specifics when it comes to OSX, quite frankly.
  16. Yeah, I agree with the above. Most people hate Windows because they think it's cool to hate it. But, as I've used other OSs, I can also see some of the downsides, aswell as the good parts of it. Personally, if I were you, unless you plan on graphics designing, or coding in the near future, I'd stick with good ol' Windows. (Get OSX for Graphics Design and a Linux Dist' for coding, if you're actually interested) If you're looking to get some experience with OS's, I'd suggest stick with Windows until you become familiar with some basic codes, then try and implement them by installing Linux manually, or something like that. But seriously, don't try it unless you know how. As for Firefox, I got a really cool add-on called "Stumple-apon", it's a button, which takes you to random pages of the internet. I usually click it a few hundred times if I'm bored. You can choose which parts you want to go to, also.. Such as "Online gaming", or "Humour", and I have to say... If it wasn't for Stumple-Apon, I'd be dead of boredom by now. Hope you like it as much as I do.
  17. Hey all. My parents today, decided they want to save a bit of cash and get TalkTalk broadband. Obviously, being a happy BT customer, I protested... But, sadly, they have the final word. Can people list the experiences they've had, compared to the experiences they've had with BT? Or just singular experiences would be handy. I know my friend's TalkTalk cuts him off frequently, gave him very slow speeds and capped his download to an insanely low amount, instantly. I also have heared that their customer service is absolutely rubbish too. Can anyone support this? Thanks alot in advance, I hope this persuades my parents to stick with BT.

All sorted. I bought some DDR2 RAM and vuala. It was that. :P Cheers.
  19. Hey all. Righto, I've been having some problems. My computer's randomly restarting and I have no idea why. Everything in the machine is brand new APART from the RAM and Hard Drive. The RAM is DDR1, and the motherboard is DDR2, would that be the problem? Nothing is overheating (CPU is at 19* and System temp is at 24*). I've formatted, but that didn't work either. The only thing I haven't fiddled with is the RAM and the HDD. Spec, just incase you need it: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M59SLI-S5 SOCKET AM2 Nvidia C51 2x PCI-E 8 Channel audio Heatpipe ATX Chip: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Socket AM2 (2.2GHz) L2 1MB (2x512KB) Retail Boxed Processor GFX Card: XFX 7900GT 470MHz 256MB 256bit DDR3 PCI-E PSU: Hiper 580W (Don't know the model name). RAM: Old Kingston 2x 512mb DDR HDD: Seagate SATA 160gb 7200rpm. Thanks in advance to those who help. ALSO - The CSS tournament that I arranged for just after Christmas. Sorry about that, I had ALOT of work on my plate and the broken PC didn't help. Now I've finished school, I'll be playing alot more.
  20. This should be cool. I think your ideas sound good enough already. Although, I hate parties with few people. I like it packed, with a good social atmousphere. I think a poker table would be a good feature there, too. Would be fun. :D Errr... A kegg(sp?) of Budweiser......... That's a must-have. Lots of food. I think the spit-roast thing is an awesome idea. I had a hog-baguette the other day and whoa... Was really nice. Sorry I couldn't help much. Oh! Oh! Oh! I got it. Get someone to bring their Wii or 360 and have some games on them. :D Aweeesome. -Mitch
  21. I'm unsure if you can. Does it have a Scart or a red, white, or yellow socket in the back of it? -Mitch

So what happens to the other guy? And it'd be funny if he'd commited several crimes, such as murder, paedophilia, etc. (Not the fact he'd commited those crimes), the fact that someone else is buying into them. Idiocy overwhelms us, these days. -Mitch
  23. Nope, I like to think just before I fall asleep or when I'm walking alone. That's my "meditation". -Mitch
  24. http://www.whatismyip.com You can go there and it'll give you your IP. -Mitch
