  1. It seems the purpose of life is to argue about the purpose of life. Or to argue that the point of life is to argue about the purpose of life being to argue about it.
  2. She isn't enjoying anything; any enjoyment she is feeling is a delusion, a defense mechanism so she doesn't have to confront the issue at hand. She needs to accept that things out of her control ruined her child and the sooner she is rid of it the sooner the healing process can begin. I can only imagine how much she put into planning for a new child and how devastatingly disappointing this birth must have been. As for wishing for death, well, guess you have a point there somewhere but I don't see how that statement connects to my post you quoted. All I did was bluntly state a universal fact.
  3. "Life: Because all we care about is money and human productivity!" :| It's damn true. Sooner you accept that the better.
  4. This is gonna mess her up badly either way.
  5. A chemical fluke can't possibly have any purpose.
  6. I won't live that long (I'll kill myself either on purpose or by accident) and I don't care about society enough help it. You falsely assume that I view death negatively, instead I see it as a very defined thing right between good and bad. I didn't say they are unworthy of living. But if they "lived their [lives] to the fullest and helped out society" they shouldn't ride on someone-else's paycheck to stay alive past their own body's ability to function. They'd be undoing their contribution to society. Selfish [bleep]s spending my hard earned money on their daily dialysis and [cabbage] like that. Do your part and die, I will.
  7. Uhh, she isn't "letting it live" she's forcing it to live because she can't take the stress of losing a child, and keeping the hellspawn is a pathetic manifestation of the mother's denial. Let it die.
  8. Exactly. You are aware that when I mean someone, I also mean a few elderly people that need medical support to live a bit longer. I think the Third Reich is calling you for duty. Why should the elderly spend society's money (yes, society's money: medicare, social security, etc.) to live longer? Those resources could be better spent to help potentially productive members of society. And holy [cabbage] 5 posts had been submitted since I started this post...
  9. It was mother nature's time of the month and she killed him. Uh... the baby isn't dead. Physically anyway...
  10. But if mother nature gets to decide then it will definitely die. That's the same as saying she deserves to die. Then so be it.
  11. She can move, breath, and eat. Thats about it. Those aren't really capabilities as standard autonomous functions. A capability would entail something requiring mental or physical orchestration.
  12. I can understand that. And unless the manual section was removed Jagex promotes healthy gaming. The make-X things are an example of them trying to combat carpal tunnel or RSI. Oh, and wrong forum.
  13. Everybody is an organism, what do you mean? Even though the baby doesn't have a brain, its still a person without any advanced genetic terms. To be a "person" one needs to have individuality, which requires higher brain function. Everyone is an organism, and almost all humans are also self-aware individuals as well. This baby is an organism too, but it is not a "person", it's a human shaped (almost) mass of unintelligent flesh and bone with a metabolism, nothing more.
  14. Argument invalid: it is not a person, it is simply an organism. A person is defined as an "individual human being", without higher brain function it is impossible to have any individuality. So therefore it is not a person. It is a human being in the simplest genetic terms but nothing more. I don't say it deserves to die, but it doesn't deserve to be artificially kept alive. Should be left alone to die naturally, let mother nature decide instead of delaying the inevitable.
  15. Epic. Just epic. That'd be cool. How about the world's largest queer-chain*? *Not being homophobic or even derogatory, just don't know another term...
  16. Heh yeah... that'd be epic.
  17. Good points. If I had the time/energy/motivation to do so I'd put down some of my own thoughts in detail, instead I'll go with a simple question: Isn't it pathetic how everything in our society is built around someone screwing someone else out of their money?
  18. Seems like it... Okay, OP, wtf were you thinking? Aaaand, props to you.
  19. So achievements don't even count since they aren't exactly activities which are what make up bucket lists. And your friend is right, I'd want to witness something like the Bikini Atoll blasts myself, cool stuff.

How about allowing yourself to get addicted to Runescape? A game on its own can't cause you any problems, the problem is with the addictive individual. I'm fairly addicted to Runescape, not completely but to a degree, the problem lies with me. and @ bballer... uhh... same night? Sisters? DETAILS MAN!
  21. So now you can't just feel sorry for yourself, you have to try and put a rain cloud over someone else. Wonderful.I'm right though. You know it. I'm being an [wagon], sure, but that begged for mocking and if he puts himself out like that he should be prepared for any response. Let him defend himself if he cares... You're not right tho. It's like me saying "before I die I wanna have sex with Carmen Electra"...If I don't have sex with Carmen Electra before I die, I'm NOT going to feel like a total failure. He said they "seem far fetched" so he implies that he believes that he can achieve those goals. If you fail to meet a goal you believe you can meet you'll feel bad about it.No, the people who feel bad about not reaching their goals are the ones who try as hard as they possibly can to obtain them, then fail. Or maybe not try as hard as they can, but in this case the goal's are more easily obtainable, and they still fail. If he browses these forums and plays runescape (not sure if he still plays or not), then my guess is he's not putting most of his time and effort into making it to the NFL. Said I was being a jerk, that doesn't require pinpoint factual or perceptual accuracy.

  24. what's on your bucket list? to get it on with that sexy tiger down at the zoo? Ehh... no. I want to die in a fiery crash, not from an animal mauling. You're not going to get under my skin with that, I put myself out there and I'm prepared to take abuse for it. You're an insensitive [puncture] but that isn't going to bug me much. Now to quote my bucket "list" from above:
  25. You're just setting yourself to feel like a total failure.
