The graphics around Darkmeyer are really well done, so needless to say it was really harsh on my laptop. Even on minimum settings, I was getting 5 second loading times :|

How would that work on larger display modes?

First rank is Vyreling. It seems to be that at the moment, if you refuse the task to kill more citizens, and complete the vial of blood task instead, you won't be able to kill anyone in the jail at all, and can't get your Vyrelord rank.

Well, he specifically asked for XP, charm and effigy rich tasks, so blocking something like aberrants would be a terrible choice because they're great cannon XP, and the XP from effigies really shouldn't be discounted because they will help you a good amount towards a slow skill like runecrafting. Attenuation is not the kind of person who'd waste potential XP. Further, while extremes and rapier can be said to help to boost any task, they will help to speed up metal tasks comparatively more, since you now get to exploit their stab weakness AND make use of a dragon defender to further boost your DPS.

Effigy rates are based on a monster's combat level, and hence because black demons are 172 or whatever and are cannonable in Tavelery, they are one of the best effigy tasks in game.

Every armor is weak to their conterpart, strong against the next one in the triangle, and moderately good against it's own style. Defensively, of course. So why would these armors behave differently? If an armor is Range/Magic, it should defend well against Magic/Melee, not Range/Magic. Not true, if an armour is Range/Magic it should defend well against magic, zero to range (as magic armour has weak range stats and range armour good range stats), and bad to melee (because magic armour doesn't have melee defence and range defence has bad defence against melee). So I think it is pretty balanced for that armour. There's quite a difference between having BAD defence against melee and having NO defence against melee. At all. Keep in mind that this is level 85 armour, designed for Safe PvP Minigames (3 key words there), they don't HAVE to have weaknesses in tandem with regular armour.

The problem isn't that they have no stats outside of minigames, which is what Jagex solely intended them for. The problem is that when you compare the stats of the items with the level 80 and 78 equivalents, they look absolutely horrible. Trickster with 0 melee defences? Battlemage with negative range defence? Vanguard with negative magic defence, plus an awful ranged defence rating? What kind of level 85 gear is that supposed to be?

I am very pleased to see Troacctid's writing included in the Times. He's been doing great stuff on his blog, and I'm glad it's on a bigger platform now.
