The notion "nothing" special does feel awkward to me, she's a very special creature, and Zaros loves his special toys. Her name, Nex, meaning Death also echoes raw power. Also, from the book of gods, it looks like Nex always had the palace. The Divine Palace got lost, so the Zarosians went to the next hub they had, the Palace of Nex. How it got described gives me a sence of a power seat, I really don't think Nex claimed it after others left it.

As Nex had a palace of her own, I do think they made a fault in the podcast. After Zaros fell, Azzanadra and Nex planned everything from that palace to make a stand against the forces of Zamorak, Saradomin and the crumbling empire. It might be that she, just like Azzanadra, had a whole other function than warlord before the third age, suggesting her peak being at the third age, but to say she was insignificant during the second age would be very odd. You don't offer a palace to someone low ranked.

Considering what they did to Birthright of the Dwarfs and how the first world event went, I expect the gods to handle very idiotic.

Plan A also offers the biggest chance of a reward. Powerhungry persons, also known as gods, are more likely to go after that reward. And do you guys believe Jagex would make everyone hide? That would be lamer than the first world event.

Also, if they attacked Sliske at his base and defeated him there, who would take control of the Stone? I guess most of the gods would only attack another with a large army/super forces ready, just to secure themselves. The risk to get backstabbed was too high to do it right now.

[hide]If you talked to Sliske at the end, he tells you how he got the objects. Whether he tells the truth or lies, is a whole other story. But he claims to have tricked the Dragonkin guarding the Staff into the Shadow Realm, and located the Stone by experimenting with the Staff. I still think he just made a bargain with the Dragonkin to get the Staff and never had the Stone. :)[/hide]

They had their week off at the Birthright quest. In my opinion.

Yeah, I like we know next to nothin concrete about this quest. When Olly started on the quest, we heard an Elf would be part of it, Slikse would be part of it, Death would be there. Later on, we only learn about more characters that will make an appearance, but lore-wise we know next to nothing. I like to be surprised. :D

No way I'm going to get prestige. :s I can only see this update as a scheme to keep hardcore players continue play this game (as most don't know what to do after Comp Cape), because Jagex continually fails to attract new players.

No sorry, he already said the middle of the diamond is just a coincidence. :p But it may chance. On the forums there's a lot of talk about that the crystal trees are some sort of parts of the Anima Mundi (in which Seren put a lot of herself) cropping out, trying to restore Priffindas, as the city has been changed back into a seed. The 8th tree would be the Tower of Voices. Another theory is that Gielinor/Elves are putting all crystal around the world together at some "hubs" so Seren could be put together more easily, after her "explosion" in the fourth age.

Okay, Mod Nexus confirmed the 8th tree is in Priffindas, at the spot of the Seren symbol.
