  1. Or mid-battle he could go back into the stones, spawning somewhere else in a massive dungeon.
  2. I do trade for cosmetic stuff. Owned quite a few rares and have some Zuriel and Vesta lying around, because I like the looks for skilling outfits. :)
  3. Hmmm, if you are DIY, may you sell stuff (only sell) through players or GE? Because I never buy something, get everything myself for the past 9 years and now have a level 2476 account. :) I gather everything myself for as far as I can remember, not as a goal, but it gives me the ability to train multiple skills, and I quite enjoy it. I do everything at my own pace, like dungeoneering, which I am soloing (I am at 107 DG atm). Don't know it that qualifies as DIY. :s
  4. Well, it's true that graphics and well-thought fights and puzzles are a great way to make a compelling story. But the addition of the toolbelt and all those teleports lessened the 'survival' aspect of quests alot. While doing Underground Pass, you had to be careful with what you'll take with you, while still having a bit of food, hoping it would be enough to kill or even reach Iban. That aspect is gone. In twenty seconds I can be from the depts of the most depressing dungeon into the Grand Exchange. It's not a bad change, more teleports and tools we can always carry, but it has a great impact on how immersive the gameplay is. You also say that Nomad isn't easier with the toolbelt and the teleports, but imagine now that half your inventory is filled with a knife, a pickaxe, ropes, some additional questing items. You'll have a lot less food, and a great deal of people have difficulty even fighting Nomad with full supplies (well, maybe not this community at Tip.it, but almost everyone seems maxed here...). Actually, fighting Nomad that way would be cool, but add some other stuff in it: a long venture through a dungeon with lots of puzzles and enemies. No bank or gravestone next to the bank to quickly jump back into the battle. That would be a great adventure I would have fond memories of.
  5. With the whole immersive gameplay, I think it'll be a bit harder to get the same feeling again in quests. Years ago, when I did Regicide, when I did the Underground Pass, when I was in the Pyramid for Icthlarin's Little Helper (you know, that path you had to find, without getting damaged heavily), we had to bring our own teleport and most of the time. You had to carry around so many other stuff for later on in the quest that a teleport was only a waste of inventory. This leads to us being carefull, because if we ran out of food, we had to crawl back out, with extreme caution, or just die. This brought a great deal of immersion and emotion into the quests. I've had been trapped in the Underground Pass for two days, for example, because I couldn't find a way out, only to be saved by some jolly Dwarves giving me stews and some rather nifty gloves. Now, we have teleport everywhere, not just the home teleport to Lumbridge, now we can get to every major city in 15 seconds. Forgotten to bring a bit extra food to the forests of the Elves? Well, just let us get our stack of Rocktails and teleport to Ardougne bank. No more killing rabbits, no more searching after a way to cook them, as we have a full toolbelt. Everything has been made easier and has made us more distant from the game. We no longer have to find a way, Jagex added too many aids into our character panel.
  6. I hope Jagex reads this, we need more of this kind of quests. :P Hell, we just need more quests too.
  7. This. This so much. I disconnect from the game now every 15 minutes or so. Lost already a good deal of dungeons to it, and had to fear the worst for logging back in when I was killing monsters. I don't get what they've done that could make the game so unstable.
  8. Uhmm, well this is... unexpected... Opened the crystal chest and got a little present...
  9. Had nightmares of the Underground Pass when I was about 13. It felt as a huge desolate place, where all happiness had been lifted. The atmosphere there, I simply love it. You also get how immense the dungeon is, with all those clay (?) bridges and those half-soulless in the cages. It was the only place in RuneScape I've ever felt lost.
  10. Well, it is possible, actually, technically. There haven't been reported cases, but the HIV could get transferred, although it's a propability of less than 1 to a million (I'm a meds student). And thanks for the the clarification about the icon! :D To unspam:
  11. Congratz on the wand! :D Question about your inventory, is that Daeyalt ore? :s My Runite doesn't have that colour.
  12. I suppose not, I thought they only get damaged by ranged attacks, all other attacks would just get missed.
  13. You need to walk a lot further away for the healers to stop healing him than in pre-EoC. They will continue to heal AND attack you if they are within Jad's vincinity. IMO, post-EoC Fight Caves is quite a bit tougher, and not worth the extra experience anymore. Well, this explains ALOT! Didn't know about the distance. :s Now I can finally try it again without sitting there half an hour switching prayers and wondering why I'm not killing him. :P To unspam: OOOH LOOK, Ranger Boots!
  14. Well, I got the problem that Jad is healing himself in some way, as even when I got all the healers on me, his health never goes below 50%. :s Still have to beat him post-EOC.
  15. Yes, if he did the most damage, he will get the drop.
  16. Put on the subtitles of the video, during the challenge, there are plenty of "jokes" by the community team. And I'm quite sad that they are going to remove the dragon items from their monsters. I think those drops should remain, in addition to the keys.
  17. Hmm, guess my computer doesn't like pretty graphics then. :/
  18. How come your explosion has such vivid graphics? Is this in the RS3 beta?
  19. Wait, since when can you replay heroes quest? :o
  20. What if.... the person Azzanadra contacted in The Temple of Sennisten quest was actually Sliske posing as Zaros? *le gasp* I was thinking about that too. In my original post I said something about the hoods they were wearing, but I deleted it because it's quite a stretch. For all we know, Zaros isn't the person anymore who he has been. And I'm quite sure the JMods don't only mean in terms of power.
  21. Well, his missionary was just a maid that got stuck in the Shadow Realm by accident (or because Sliske was involved), so I actually doubt there is a lot of life in the Shadow Realm. Also some tidbits: Zaros does not seek revenge or war when he returns. Kara-meir, one of the contact in the book of the Godless, is the main character of the RuneScape book "Betrayal at Falador".
  22. I find it odd that so many people want a peaceful god like Seren to rule over the world. Especially because we slaughter millions of monsters, other players and other humans in order to train our skills. Heck, we even empty the ocean, deplete every rock, annihilate every forest and yet most of us want a god that preaches being one with nature, conservation of the people an so on. :s I have enjoyed this content immensely. I decided to join Sliske, because he reminds me of our character. If you look at us, we just do whatever gives us the best advantage or reward, we have no clear policies. And I expect a lot of him to come. He may deceit me, but I'm prepared for that, because that lies in my nature too. But it was a hard decision to make. I was really relieved by the story of Zamorak. He has a compelling motive I must admit. I hope he will be more in the spotlight after all these years about bashing him and praising Zaros and lately Guthix and Seren. The fact that Bandos is such an ass, but a smart one, surprised me, but it was a pleasant surprise. Saradomin could be more fleshed out in my opinion, we don't really get more information about him. And now, for Zaros. His plans, if the vision is true, are just awesome. I love this character so much and I'm so happy Jagex is making him so cunning and totally placing him into his role of "control". The fact that he actually resides in the shadow realm does give me odd feelings. Wouldn't Sliske be able to find him there? Especially after all those years (I think 5000 years have passed since Zaros has been stabbed). And if so, why hasn't Sliske done something about it? Maybe he has been plotting stuff already for a long time. I for one have a thought that Zaros has been held captive by Sliske, which could be an interesting turn of events.
  23. It was a temple build upon the prison where the last army of Zaros was kept. So the appearances of Dragonriders, Char and Demons is logical. :P
