Today...
Hmm. I haven't even gone stationary shopping this year. Usually you can't go out to the shops without being raped by stationary and notebooks and school bags and all that 'Back to school' malarky. I just haven't felt it this year. I used to love this shopping time, I'd spend hours deciding which colour of a 10p ruler to pick, or should I chose the folding up one instead of the bendy on-- omg that one is multicoloured!! etcetera :P I guess I'm just not into it anymore. I watched the trailer for the Season 6 premiere of House yesterday... OMGOMFOMG *a'splodes* I. Can't. Wait. A. Month.

18th August 2009 - Menagerie, Familiar Controls and Butler
Is this going to affect 50/50 GOP clans? Is Jagex really trying to get rid of mini-game clans? Forgive me if I'm missing something here. Gah I keep forgetting about the 50/50 update. Possibly it will :?

Here's a link to the knowledge base article on the menagerie: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/con ... _menagerie You can build a mini obelisk in it! Edit: It won't hold pet rocks though

Sounds good. The butler really got on my nerves with all his talking and whining about money, get it yourself goddamnit! MA updates sound pretty cool too, I'm gonna try some of these out later. Quite an early update really, shouldn't Jagex be on their lunch break right now?

We have a card system at our sixth form. You get a larnyard to put it on with *collegeabbreviationhere* student, but I changed it for a funky one with smiley faces. The card is just for security reasons. The campus in my town is brand new, and they decided they would need more security when putting a campus in my town (not shocking really.) You have to swipe it over a sensor to get upstairs where the classrooms and libraries are. It's pretty cool (you don't know how exciting it was at first  ) but you get your [wagon] raped by the security guard if you don't have it, even once. They send an angry letter home and sometimes won't even let you in college. I forgot mine once but the security guard at the door was distracted chasing a dog

Manga/Anime Discussion
LOL that video. It's got music from Umineko, I almost watched it the other day actually - saw it in the related videos but went back to listening to Maria going uuuu~ Nadril, maybe try and watch Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni if you don't mind a bit of violence and bizzare alternate realities that don't make sense until you reach the second season. I'm always shocked when I think back to the fact that 07th Expansion is just 2 guys. I always imagine people who come up with epic plots like they do are massive creative teams. :? Makes me think of Welcome to the NHK

National Healthcare. What do you think of it?
Yeah, let's have Uncle Sam hand out health insurance to everyone and noone would ever have to pay anything  Money doesn't grow on trees. Neither does health care. No but if everyone paid for it then what's the problem? We pay through it through taxes, everyone pays a bit for the knowledge that I will get the help that I need if I fall ill and not worry about paying for it ect. There are posts far more detailed and clever than mine explaining how it could work in this thread. NHS would badly affect private health care. I think something should be done so everyone has access to health care, but this isn't it. Not really, the UK has private health. The only difference is you're not forced into it. You can have private health care if you can afford it.

The UK system isn't weird. Regarding subject choices: From Primary school until your 3rd year (in general) of secondary school you just do a load of subjects given to you, but then you drop some subjects and only do the ones you're going to do GCSE in. After 2 years of GCSEs, you go to 6th Form College and do the first part of 4 A level subjects you pick (or BTEC or Applied A level or whatever) then in your second year of 6th Form you might drop one of them and do the second half of the A levels. Then you go to University. I really don't get all this AP rubbish I hear Americans coming out with. Anyway I get my results for my first half of my A levels (AS) on Thursday. I'm not worried about them at all. I also think I'm not going to drop any, unless I fail one. I'm doing Psychology (probably get a B or C), Sociology (B, though I might have screwed up the test), ICT (A), and English Literature (A). I was going to drop English Lit but if I get a good grade in it, it might be worth keeping going with it.

Things you do that you think no one else does
I use the fan from my laptop to melt chocolate. I often use the big block bit in the middle of the charger too. It gets stupidly hot. It's useful for winter though to warm my feet

National Healthcare. What do you think of it?
I fail to see how we're being screwed over. My mum is on about 4 different types of pills for epilepsy, vertigo... all sorts of stuff. She gets MRI scans every few years. My dad happens to have a rare 2 in a million people disease, as well as issues with his stomach. I have asthma... and we all get treated. We all get the care that is needed in a reasonably decent enough time, the only difference is we don't have to pay. Sure in the UK you're expected to pay for prescriptions but if you can't afford it you don't even need to pay for that! Paying for healthcare is fine if you're middle class and can afford insurance (or over here afford private healthcare like Bupa). But what if you're not wealthy enough? You just get screwed over by the system. There are a lot of things I don't like about England, but the one thing I like is that I can go and get decent healthcare even if I have just 10p to my name.

Today...
Today I woke up at about 10, then went back to sleep and had some weird dream about going to some get together in a big swimming pool in the middle of a local church. There were some YouTubers there and I had a compass and a metal pipe. There were interfaces along the walls of the pool that let you go on twitter. Oh and I also had some weird little bag thing that filled with water and I tried to log into Twitter because I needed to broadcast a message to everyone but I dropped a bit of ink in the pool and it made an ink shockwave and then I got loads onto me. It was kinda... odd. Also I had to find a waterproof pen to sign into Twitter (even though I hate Twitter). Yeah weird. Then I woke up at about half 2 =/ I had to go tidy up *grumble* then came back here... I'm not doing anything today from now, just sitting here mooching the internet.
