You can consider buying 7-8 silver ores/bars for every water tiara you sold, this should balance out the cost. Usually I buy 24 silver ores, craft all into tiara, then make 3 of them water tiara. Cow hides are not efficient, since there is always too many people going for cows. You got to factor in the time effectiveness when becoming a member. Bow string is very efficient even for crafting level of 30-40

The smartest and cheapest way to become a member is: level all your f2p skills to 99 so you can focus only on p2p skills for the rest of the time.
