I done my crafting with earth glove and air glove + Great Orb project. The exp is around 3X average per round than going to altar alone. After game I can use tokens to buy more essences and craft other runes. That is the quickest way if you want quick exp.

I do Lumbridge Job quest, every 15 times I done the jobs, I get a lamp that give me at least 1150 xp. Dont know if it is just me or not, but Prayer-Tutor gives more task of burying bones in graveyard than other job-givers.
