Clubbing
I go pretty often, every two or three weeks. It's pretty cool here cos I live in a Uni town with 120,000 people, at least 20,000 stuedents so you get pretty cool young crowds. I don't wana sound liek a total [bleep], but I've never been to one sober, the less sober you are generally the better you enjoy it. I don't know what it's like overseas, but here drinks in town are realyl expensive, so normally you just go to a party, drink til midnight, then go into town (where the clubs are). Sometimes it can be heard/awkward trying to dance with randoms, so I normally only dance with people I know or kinda know. I guess its a bit different, cos I'm from a smallish place, so I'll pretty much see someone I know at some point during the night.

Birthday present?
f you don't want anything, just save it. Then if something you actually want appears in the future, you have enough money for it.

Cricket!
Argh New Zealand getting it handed to them and We lost our semi-final today. I bowled 20 dot balls in a row, then got carted for tow fours and a six. I also came back at the death but couldn't seem to hit the stumps arrgh. So I ended up with 1-33 off 8, which is ok when the opposition scores 253 off 40 overs. We struggled pretty hard to keep up with the run-rate and folded. So yeah, that's the end of the season for Albion...

Chinese One Child Policy and should it be instated in India?
Ummm I'm pretty sure there is no way India's population is going to spill over into China. Actually, that's a completely riddiculous idea.

Chinese One Child Policy and should it be instated in India?
Bah. In both countries, it's better to just limit immigration in order to help prevent the amount of families coming in. There will still be population problems later on, though. I guess that it wouldn't be a bad idea for some families in the UK and the United States to consider moving to Canada. EDIT: Also, imagine what the Western world would be like if the Black Death never happened! About 40-50% of the population of Europe perished during the period. That guy has to be joking right? If he thinks that replicating China's one child policy will help the economy... As I've stated, an ageing population of the same magnituted that China is facing will cripple the economy in the future. And all this talk of forced sterilisation, I can even begin to imagine how you'd go about trying to get legislation like that passed, what a joke.

Chinese One Child Policy and should it be instated in India?
I don't see this happening. Anyway, the one child policy will screw China over in the long run, as they will have MAJOR problems with an ageing population. That is, they will pretty much be crippled by huge number of retired folk having to be supported by the population of the working age (15-65). With each family only having one child, that one person then has to support two others. To replace the current population, you need an average birth rate of 2.1 (Birth rate = total births/total fertile women in population), so this keeps the population in a steady state (eg, not increasing or declining). Many other countries in the world are facing a similar problem, parts of Europe, Japan, NZ and Australia, but not on the same scale as China however. This is why China is not necessarily a good example I agree that India does have a huge problem with overpopulation, but do you think there governement does not already realise this? They have already taken a number of steps to try and reduce the birth rate. For example, in parts of India men are offer substaintal cash rewards for undergoing sterilisation. In other places, there is a massive drive towards sex and family education, and the promotion of condoms. Of course, this is not an easy task, or a quick fix so the effects of these (or any) policies are going to a bit of take time to take effect. Although there are other problems, such as the poverty cycle which encourage large families, who are born into poverty, hence the cycle.

Creepy Thread
We're not trying to be funny. I did that to build up a sense of "Oh yeah this third one is going to be funny haha. Oh [cabbage]." Moment in my post. And besides, it doesn't have to be real to be scary. And keep in mind, everyone is scared by different things. Be it heights, the dark, ghosts, aliens. I'm just posting things that are scary to me, things that I find disturbing. You're welcome to post anything you find scary. Within reason, of course, let the mod edit on the first post be your guideline. Oh Halo I thought you were taking the piss lol, I actually lol'd at the Paranormal Cativity. I guess I don't get creeped out really...unless I have a dream about aliens and wake up screaming...

Creepy Thread
To be prefectly honest, the best thing on this thread has been the floating cat thing, soc it was funny. THe rest of this [cabbage] hasn't even been remotely funny, or most of it, if any of it even real.
