  1. Personally, I think that the whole system of modern Democracy is wrong. Firstly, if a party wins an election, they should gain every seat in the Government; they should not gain a number of seats proportionate to their number of votes, as this would make passing laws quickr and more efficiant. Secondly, there should be some form of screening to ensure that people who are of low intelligence or are very biased would not vote; only those who could be trusted to make an informed decision and not vote for someone because of their personality would be allowed to; I don't know how this would work though. Thirdly, the freedom of the press should be limited to constructive criticism: only complaints that also made suggestions would be allowed, as pointless complaining is both hypocritical and de-establishmental (real word?...). And finally, religion should not be taught in schools in any form; in my opinion, religion warps peoples' minds.
  2. Both genders should be equal, but feminists just take it to far. Actively campainging to get women into positions of power, for example,is stupid, as equality is achieved when both genders have equal oppurtinities to get into power, not when a government is split half and half between men and women.
  3. That's fair enough to describe those people as celebrating dominance, but, if done respectfully, there is nothing wrong with being proud of your roots. Yes, you do have to go back a long time to find an represive black culture, but that is due to circumstance, not the nature of black people: there haven't been any dominant countries or world powers of primarily black people in a long time. I may be wrong, but it seems as if you are saying that white culture is, by defintion, prejudice. Prejudice is a part of human nature, though culture can emphasise it. Yes, European culture was racist, and is becoming less so, but it was more the position of power that European culture had that gave rise to racism, not the nature of its culture. If black nations had been in world power, they would have been no different; racism is human nature.
  4. I personally hated most of the gallery. It represents the current online culture -presumably a reflection of real culture- of wanting to look good; even the beer-drinker picture featured a scientifically fairly attractive character. There seem to two main prevelant styles: cartoonish and modeling. The picture of the girl in the revealing clothes was just appaling -if you want to look at bellies, is RuneScape really the best place?- and the cartoony and unrealistic drawings of Evil Bob, the Treasure Trailer, and the moss giant weren't much to my taste either. Would a human realy have an inane grin, sparkly clothes, and stupid purple hair while exploring a dungeon? That said, I thought the flail and the Dragon Armour model were very skilled.

I have a long, black, thin coat that is confortable down to about 7-8C: probably fine for a depressingly mild British winter. If it gets very cold, I were a sleeveless plasticy coat underneath, which makes temperatures down to about -2 bearable, provided the wind is light.
  6. I disgree. You are describing any show of pride in your routes (no different to patiotism) if you are white to be celebrating your "dominance". The majority of white people are not at all racist; it is unfair to label them as "opressors". That is view is prejudiced, and almost racist itself. You also claim that white people built empires on the "backs of others". This is true, but black people have also done immoral things in the past. The genocide in Darfur, for instance, was (or is?)commited by black people; albeit against other black people, it was still racist. Black people have built empires on the backs of others just as much as white people. Take the Egyptian civilisation for instance. That was built on slave labour of Hebrews, and had it been feasable for white people to arrive in Egypt poor and helpless at that time, they would probably have been inslaved to- what I am saying is that when primarily black countries were powerfull, transport was too poor to realy make racism against white people possible. In short, calling white people "opressors", even if it were enitrely true, would be a claim based on mere circumstance. I'm sure black people are (or were) racist towards white people in their own countries.
  7. This is something I've often thought about. Firstly, I would remove Religious Education from the syllabus, as I believe all religions are untrue, and the teaching of their beliefs takes up valuable time that could be spent on something more usefull. Secondly, I would also remove Physical Education. In my opinion, sport should not be taught in schools under any circimstances, as it serves no purpose other than leisiure. Those who want to learn it could, of course, sign on do do extra-curricular sport, but no-one else would. To combat obesity, all pupils would take part in a compulsory 15 minute jog before lessons every day. Those to unfit to complete it would be permitted to walk, as long as they jogged as much as they were physically capable of. Punishments for laziness in the morning excerise and bullying would be made very severe, in order to act as a deterrant. Finally, students with difficulties in academic subjects would be forced to work for themselves, rather than have teaching assistants to help them.
  8. In my opinion, Homosexuality is caused partly by psychological factors and partly by hormones. People have no choice if they are genuinely Homosexual, and there is no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to act on their desires.
  9. The UnRuneScape Wiki is a comedy and satire site about RuneScape. Anyone can edit the site, and we currently have over 400 pages, and a rapidly developing community. Address:http://unrunescape.wikia.com/wiki/UnRuneScape_Wiki
  10. Please prove this accusation, I cannot imagine how can just having a few pixel less can be too revealing for female sprites. I have used female account and found no "revealing" clothing. I am not saying that they are overly revealing; what I am saying is that they show more of the body than male clothes, and that Jagex are catering to a percieved desire of this by either male, female, or both genders of players.
  11. Global Warming is a cake, and the cake is a lie. I rest my case that didn not exist. Global Warming absolutely does exist. I was looking through old weather records, and there is typically about one below average moth in six. For instance, April 2008 was described by the BBC as: "0.3C above the 1961-1990 average. Coldest April since 2001".
  12. Probably WWIII or Global Warming, as these are the only theories that severly damage the world in our lifetimes.
  13. Though I don't live in the USA, I'm glad Obama won, or at least, I'm glad McCain didn't, as then Sarah Palin would have been Vice President- and I'm strongly against Creationism.
  14. I've never heard that, but as far as I'm concerned, if a girl agrees to that request, she has no grounds to accuse the "purchaser". I do believe that Jagex are partialy sexist (or at least inconsiderate), as when female players wear clothes, they reveal much of their body. Whether this is becuase Jagex expects male players to want to look at females in scanty armour, or because they expect females to wan to dress revealingly, it is still prejudiced.
  15. I agree with the fact that the recession will decrease the number of subscritptions if it becomes severe, but Jagex will just reduce the size of their company to lower expenses; as a few people will play even if they have to fake their own deaths, it is unlikely to ever completely shut down RuneScape.
  16. I agree entirely with the above post: nearly everything in the "bill of rights" is already true. Another point is the use of words like "often". Define often. A bill of rights should be specific, so evryone knows when it is being violated.
  17. I think that the updates have benfited RuneScape overall. While it is still possible to RWT (though I don't know the details), it must have been substantiably weakened, or Jagex would have removed what was possibly the worst recieved update since the begining of RuneScape. Even if it is still possible, it no longer effects innocent players; it's now actualy possible to cut yew logs, for instance.
  18. I don't see anything wrong with having an in-game partner for role-play, or just to describe a close friendship, as long as you don't do anything dangerous in real life. On the other hand, taking it to the point of having in-game "weddings" or such like is rediculous. It seem sad to crave that kind of relationship that you don't have to that extent.
