  1. Looks like you're the one ignoring points. I'll ask again. Since the burden of proof is on you to show how the universe can be a much better place than it currently is, why not enlighten me? Whatever, I'll reply to your red herring. Hmm, let's see. Assuming that there is a god...humans could be faster, stronger, smarter. There could be plants growable that are both more nutritious, healthy, and easier to grow. Sickness and diseases, along with natural disasters could be gone, and in fact, humans could be immortal. Since there's a god, this could be alleviated with making humans not require food, or by making energy and space limitless. Earth could have twice or even a billion times the current carrying capacity. Perhaps a bisolar system of two revolving stars would be better, creating twice as much light energy to be used. Humans could have been given Maxwell's, Einstein's, Tesla's, equations, or god could reach down from the skies and hand us a quantum theory of gravity, along with plans for a FTL starship, probably based off an Alcubierre drive. If this god wanted humans to know of him or his teachings, he could implant the bible or whatever in everybody at birth, or perform miracles. He could tell us the meaning of life(if there is one), or alleviate poverty, war, or human suffering. He could eliminate discrimination and crime. Since this is an omnipotent god, he could always eliminate any foreseeable problems that could crop up with any of these. That's another thing I hate about the burden of proof. No actually, it's not the logical fallacy I have beef with. It's the poor appliance of the fallacy, and how it can easily be flung on either party for an advantage. Is it up to me to prove god can exist, or is it up to you to prove god can't exist? Let me reword that: Is it up to you to prove that things are just based on pure luck (a universe with the lack of god)? If you can't prove that there is some sort of contradiction or proof out there, showing that the idea of god is impossible, then that can also be easily denied. All that's required is a simple rewording and both will be positive claims. Let's apply this to the current difficulty. I make no positive claims. You definitly have made one, and are unable to back it up. You said that god influenced evolution. I provided evidence why a logical, sane god would not do such a thing, and humbly asked you to provide evidence for why you think so. You then start raging against a logical concept. You silly aunicornists and aleprechaunsatthebottomofthesea should stop poorly applying a logical concept! You make a positive claim about the lack of something! You are trying to make me prove a negative, and that is why you do not understand the fallacy. If I make a positive claim, I prove it. I back up evolution, cosmology, the big bang, and physical theories with proof. You accept my proof or others of evolution, then attempt to tack on another positive claim on it. I did not reply as it was a red herring, and not salient to the discussion. In either case, you are displaying hypocritical tendencies, criticizing me for what you have done. Now I have replied to it. I will not respond until you tell me why a god would choose evolution instead of ex nihilo creation, ex nihilo creation being smarter, faster, and better. How could a god create the fact that the fittest are more likely to reproduce? Did god create the fact that a two headed coin will always land heads, or the fact of the Fibonacci sequence? Would it make sense that a two headed coin will usually land tails? Of course not, and neither would saying that the fitter are not more likely to reproduce. Alrighty...point blank period, He wouldn't. There is just no reason whatsoever to justify him doing so. Also, saying God is real(as i do believe), it should be noted that it's not his fault the world is how it is. Ofcourse he could easily eradicate all wrongdoers and make the world perfect, but then we'd all be living in fear...all of us that weren't gone that is, b/c i kno i'm not perfect enough to live on a perfect world, and most people most likely aren't. It was either let us have choice and do as we please, or make us mindless fearful robots with no choices of our own and no variety.
  2. Dude i remember doing that...mid 70's stats, and had just bought a whip not too long before. I died, and ran back like hell...and when i got back in, still no grave. Was it just me or was there no grave when you're in the final fight? because it seems i didn't even get a "your grave has just crumbled" or w/e that is message. I was just about crying b/c even though i kept the whip, i lost other things...only about 900k-1mil then, but that was a lot to a new member and whatnot. lolz
  3. Well it took a while, but i read all the posts, and i do mean all. Some made me lolz till i almost cried. Others were serious and on topic. Others still were just stupid. I don't know how i keep missing the good threads...makes me sad sometimes. lolz. But anywho, there's just too much to be said for me to say it all in one thread. That plus as i was reading, i was getting ideas and by the time i finished reading or even got to the next page, they were gone. Point blank, sex is in fact, like many other things, subjective to the situation. Originally, with or without religion, sex was for a male and a female, who loved each other, to express that love, and eventually have a child. That's it. Like many other things however, today's society, or should i say certain people in the society, have changed the original meaning, and turned it into something else. Something that in some cases is no longer meaningful and just for "fun" now. Don't get me wrong, it is fun, but like i said, is supposed to mean something. If it doesn't have meaning anymore then it's just any other thing. Sex is in fact private, you just wouldn't want to see two people doing it randomly while on your way to the store. It's just wrong, and i believe somewhere inside everyone, those morals exist. I think people should take sex more seriously, as it is a good thing, that can and has been corrupted into multiple bad things. People who no longer have respect for the act of sex are literally failures of the human race(excuse the phrasing). Also, sex is not the root of all evil, most believe money is, although they are extremely intertwined, and it can be argued massively. I do not believe there is any one "wrong" that is worse than another. They should all be the same. Granted, stealing a pack of gum from a convenient store is nothing compared to a shipload of [insert important material here]. Lastly, religion is not to blame. Blaming religion is just ignorant. For the most part, religion only backed what just so happened to be morally and socially accepted at the time that coincided with their beliefs. I think that's all i have to say for now, let me know what you think. I've been flamed massively before for my comments*coughrebdragoncough* so i'm used to it and fine with it, as long as it's not overly disrespectful for no reason. Always open to constructive criticism. So if you wanna, go for it. *hope all this was phrased right* wish i could do a little post of all the stuff that made me lol like crazy...but that would take too too long. shame. :)
  4. umm, HUH?? I may sound stupid here wat umm, wat do u mean? lolz.
  5. [hide=] [/hide] What are you clue hunting? swear you have alotta clue pics. jw ya kno?
  6. yes it could, Ill try to address your questions as best I can, realize I believe in god but still hold what Im about to say as true. 1. well fatalism aside, as random as everything is theres nothing that states our conciousness couldnt have evolved in a similiar species(thinner frame if warmer planet, more hair if colder etc. Indeed, the odds of this exact world developing are very very tiny, but then again the odds of some intelligent life developing somewhere in the universe are pretty good. If there is some intelligent life and it manages to make it to the advanced "level" we are at it makes sense for this type of debate to occur. Just consider the scale of the universe, earth is nothing next to it so why should we assume our intelligence is somehow amazing relative to what else may be out there? 2. what makes you think there are a lack of mistakes? 3/4 see point 1 True, but it is highly unlikely. I guess to me it just seems more reasonable to believe in a God or some other form of higher intelligence and power. And maybe there are some types of mistakes in the universe? I said what i said because of how balanced it seems, and from what I've heard from different professors and teachers, some small detail gone wrong could have a massive impact and ruin this balance...thats what i meant.
  7. ... -.- Point still stands, can it really be that all that happened randomly? without any mistakes in positioning? with everything balanced as it is? Could that really be "just luck?"
  8.         nice
  9. Naruto's awesome like that. On that note...new manga is out and nice. I swear though manga chapters are so small...especially when released every week. In the 5min it takes to read em, you get really into them and then alluva sudden they're done, and you gotta wait a whole nother week! makes me sad. :(
  10. well rs wasn't released until january 4th 2001 so i must admit i'm impressed that you have played longer than the game have existet :) Wait just one second. i thought rsc has been out since 2000?? Then they released rs2 later on?? nope rsc was released on january 4th 2001... rs2 wasn't out of beta before march 17th 2004... Ahh, i see. nice nice.
  11. Seriously, was that necessary? because i cant/dont see how it was. :|
  12. Was reading the first one and i saw the dem say it'd give you the whip i was like wtf irl, then it dissapeared and i was literally roflmao....irl, no lie.
  13. It is very faulty to try to figure out the thought process of any infinitely powerful being theoretical or not. Also some of the real possibilities are 1. That there is a deity somewhere that can control everything at will, but for some reason has decided not to reveal itself even though it would save millions of lives, or... 2. We are here because of sheer dumb luck. 3. there is a being that exists outside of our physics but has a limited amount of power, he could be infinitely good infinitely bad or in between, if his power is limited it is hard to tell 4. there is an infinitely powerful being, but he does not have a perfect character and is allowing suffering to exist for whatever reason 5. there was a god but he "killed" himself creating the universe 6. were in the matrix after the real humanity discovered there was/wasnt a god through some means we cant understand 7. were a science experiment of a higher species Sparing everyone torture, it should be pretty clear by now that you cant simplify possible models of god into 1 or 2 examples. *peter griffin laugh* i like #7. But anywho, one thing that i think is important, is to just plainly take a look, a deep look at the world in which we live. Why is it, that we are the only inhabited planet in this solar system, as far as we know? why is it that THIS particular world just so happened to have what was needed to sustain life? Could it all really just be a coincidence, or luck even? Think about how everything is so tightly interwoven, how ecosystems balance themselves out, how many species there are, the smallest units of life, how things we can't even see are constantly acting upon us and the world daily. Lastly think about life of humans in general. How we have advanced. Now, when you look at this, you may realize that humans have infact greatly advanced in all ways conceivable. But looking even closer, one can see how we got here, which is simply, thinking. There had to be some intelligence before we could move away from straw houses and whatnot, and build economy's and empires. Intelligence had to be involved for just us to advance the little that we have. Now how then can you say that the world itself evolved, all on its own without any intelligent help whatsoever. What if we as humans didn't have the intelligence we do have, would we have evolved? Then how can a world that doesn't have that intel evolve all on it's own. Therein i believe most will find an answer looked for, yet not expected. Thats what i have to say. Hope i said it correctly and in a way you may which sheds new light on the big picture.
  14.  WTF??? This totally makes me not happy at all. Good for whoever =D> ...but still...ugh!! :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: #-o Its fake -.- -.- I feel stupid now. :wall: :wall:
  15.  WTF??? This totally makes me not happy at all. Good for whoever =D> ...but still...ugh!! :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: #-o
  16. Awesome, would you by anychance know the rates? or know anyone who has figured them out? lolz.
  17. slayer is bad combat exp...I think everyone gets that now. However alot of people seem to disagree with you that slayer is LESS profit than the zombies. I know i do. This is especially because you only need 1 good drop to make hours and hours of slaying worth it, and even then, you still have normal drops to give even more profit. I thought that was simple. One of the very reasons for training slayer was so you could get worthwhile drops. Just 1 black mask, or 1 g legs, would make up for hours of slaying and many hours of armoured zombies. I wont touch the higher ups since i "havn't been to those levels," but we all know that they're there and the point still stands, whether i mentioned it or not.
  18. Woah waoh waoh. wtf? 7mil cash?...on f2p?...before member? did the rs world we live in change? I know there are f2p's out there w/ that kind of money, but they've been playing for A LONG TIME. Some of those reqs are a lil too high. I went p2p FOR the money. lolz.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djGfglU4fpw Best naruto opening. the show in itself is awesome tbh, just not the dubbed because they make naruto sound so stupid in them. And the manga is even crazier. lolz 4 pains down, 2 to go, 1 sage mode clone left. [yt]djGfglU4fpw[/yt]
  20. I think the fact that you use IE is more fail than the [developmentally delayed] of the RSOF. 8-) aww, thats mean :shame: though somewhat true, mozilla is tdf! I have swiftkit though. \ EDIT: tdf=to die for
  21. #-o :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: #-o     man thats a good one. =D>
  22. Honestly, i liked em all this issue. Especially the mass bannings, Jagex deserves some respect lolz. lolz, same here. I loved it because its actually VERY useful. \ Overall, keep up the good work. =D>
  23. You could look further back in the thread for hundreds of pages of debate about the numbers. I skimmed over that part m'self because frankly I thought it was boring, but hey, you asked. Well i tried, saw a lotta people arguing how his calcs were wrong, how he factored out different things that make slayer easy, and apparantly how cannons aren't alwayz necessary(as i too stated) Even saw the attempt to end the thread. lolz...I didn't know about that before...so i posted. soz. lolz. Overall i'd say now too that there are too too many variations in slayer and trying to kill something efficiently to try to "average" it out, even at best attempts things are left out, and results are never final. Hell, maybe for you slayer does suck, but for someone else, slayer might truly honestly be the best thing in there opinion. Truth be told not every1 can get certain exp rates per hour because of w/e factor, so they resort to something else. That's fine, its all just peoples preferences. A game is just that, a game. And even moreso for a game like rs, where the whole point, (they used to mention on the page where u click to make a new acc and they give you a "summary" about rs..)is to "do whatever you want however you want it." Overall there many arguments that can go either way, but the way i see it, slayer must be pretty damn good, else not too many people would do it other than the sake of saying they did it. To me, slayer is awesome. it's worth is too. While i totally agree it's not the BEST exp, i believ it is awesome money. thats all i really have to say. I think i'm done with this discussion lolz. but still i'll check in maybe post a few lolz. Byes forum.
  24. Again, i still don't know how you got your 90k profit number?? ffs, what tasks did you have that you tested this with? I know people who get nothing but good easy tasks with great profit. Maybe you're the one doing something wrong? because it seems to me most people seem to make more money offa slayer than you... I tested each task around 25 times when all numbers are included. I'm assuming your cannoning and using piety prayer for maximum XP when your doing your testing? How many hours have you and you anonymous friend tested this? Ok, i see the problem i think, to be honest, canonning only speed things up a little no matter what task. It's really not much faster. It's almost alwayz a waste of money, only good on sure tasks like blue drags and such. And then, it is a profit of more than your 90. If you must know, I trained another acc to 75 slayer, and as you know, i hav an account atm(mines \ ) with 72 slayer...and counting for that matter...soon enough. I'm sorry i don't have 600 hours of slaying under my belt lolz, but still, facts of the matter are just that. Honestly, i wonder who a jagex mod would agree with, me or you...idk tbh, but still, wondering.
