I can't say if it'd be better without a universe, planets, or any species. I know i wouldn't be here, tip.it wouldn't be here, and neither would RS or any of this...tbh, i think i'd like to exist...but i guess im not sure since i dont know whatd it be like not existing? :? :-k Then again, i think i'd like to at least have lived...

Just a little logic I think you should see if you believe that. a. christianity assumes god is infinetly powerful and can forsee everything that will happen ever b. christianity claims god created humanity therefore, god must have created humanity knowing exactly what would happen, which means he created humanity knowing we would "mess up". According to christianity, god flooded the entire earth wiping out the entire population -noah and family. Since god must have known he would have to do this, it proves he had some reason to want to. So now we know god created a flawed species that he knew he would have to constantly punish to keep in a decent virtuous state. If god created humanity knowing he would have to punish it he is a sadistic ruler that likes causing harm to his creations. Unless you want to admit he didnt forsee humans failing, in which case he is not an infinitly powerful being. Also, to further back up the claim god is either fallable or sadistic, if he can forsee everything why create lucifer? there wouldnt be a need for hell or punishment if humanity had not been made with such a critical flaw. oh and Im by no means an atheist, proud agnostic, and willing to accept that I could be wrong about there being a god. oo, you where doing so well in the beginning. Yes, God knew that the race he created was in fact flawed and would mess up, and as so, had made the plan for salvation even before mankind sinned. What you must understand, or at least try to, is that God did not actually cause bad things to happen and people to suffer. Yes he knew what was to come, but what exactly do you think he should have done? the only way to make sure none of this had happened was to not create anyone who had even the slightest chance of disobeying. But by doing this, he would in essence have created drones, robots so to speak, who didn't obey him or follow him because they loved him, but rather because they had no CHOICE. THAT is exactly what god doesn't want. what good would it be to make anything at all if they are just drones who have no choice and do as you say not because of love, but rather because they are forced to? It was not a flaw, he simple gave the gift of choice, hoping that all would obey him out of love, not his force. I sure as hell wouldn't want to create a whole race of non loving creatures. Now while he decided this, he also decided that he would then take those who did in fact love him to heaven. Frankly, that's my hope, that i can love him enough to obey him and go to heaven. I personally don't like this world, and especially don't like the crazy people in it(murderers, rapists, etc., not you all. lolz \ ), and i can't wait for the day when he comes back. What you speak of, as if it was his fault we are suffering today, is in fact just us taking control of the gift of choice he gave us. Hopefully someone will CHOOSE to follow him, not because of someone else, but just because they love and have faith in Him.

I don't really say Quest Cape is better/more respected than any Skill Cape or vice versa, but I do find some flaws in your logic too which compelled me to make a post. You mention Curse. Have you seen how boring it is? If you curse all the way to 99, then you have treated Magic like you would have treated Agility, probably even worse. Which is why each skill demands respect (or most). This is what we come down to anyway - Most of the skills (Slayer being an exception, though slightly) have 3 ways of training them - a) You spend a lot of money, make tons of loss but get the fastest xp/rates. B) You take a slow and moderate way, make no loss/small profit and get decent xp. c) You compile a way to make money with the skill along with option a). [Example] For Magic, option a) has much higher gp/xp ratio than most skills. #1 reason why its respected. Option B) has extremely slow ways to train it. And lets not forget mindnumblessly, finger-painingly boring. #2 reason why its respected. Option c) has very few areas where you actually make money with magic. #3 reason why its respected. I noticed you used the word "except". Couldn't it be said that Slayer is useless except for a few monsters? Or Runecrafting is useless except for a few runes? Range is vital, extremely. Without range you cannot kill or are restricted to very poor methods for making money Kree'arra, Zilyana (melee works good here, faster kills but smaller trips), Tormented Demons, Aviansies, 1 of the kings in DKS and not to mention Range is extremely powerful in PvP. These are the only things people do these days. Wouldn't say a lot of time, but they aren't that easy too. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj Tell the truth, with RS nowadays, whats not hard? yes some are easier than others but they're still "hard" and time consuming. The only difference is that the quest cape continually gets harder to get unless of course you already have it, in which case it is usually not too hard, until a quest comes out with reqs you don't have. but if you were a skiller and a quester, that shouldn't be a problem. i say try to get everything to 75...quests won't bypass that for a while still i hope...don't want it to be too hard when i go for mines. lolz Apologies for quoting you in this as well dpattle but 2 things that are contained within this massive quote that I disagree with: 1) Am i the only one to notice the number of noobs walking around with combat capes who got them through pcing? Every single melee skill can be pced and therefore is not hard at all. The xp rate at pest control is obscene so no, if you choose to pc, melee capes are not anything special. HP included. 2) dpattle this one's for you. Actually it might be better to ask what IS hard? All 99s may be time-consuming, as I suppose is the quest cape, but none of the skills are actually challenging so long as you have at least one finger and a mouse! Lolz true i guess... And pc has made everything easier...i was thinking about pc'ing to 99 pray...or @least like 80 wen i get bored. lolz. \

If that's true, you should have absolutely no problem completing fully Dan Barker's Easter Challenge. http://www.ffrf.org/books/lfif/stone.php "The conditions of the challenge are simple and reasonable. In each of the four Gospels, begin at Easter morning and read to the end of the book: Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, and John 20-21. Also read Acts 1:3-12 and Paul's tiny version of the story in I Corinthians 15:3-8. These 165 verses can be read in a few moments. Then, without omitting a single detail from these separate accounts, write a simple, chronological narrative of the events between the resurrection and the ascension: what happened first, second, and so on; who said what, when; and where these things happened. Since the gospels do not always give precise times of day, it is permissible to make educated guesses. The narrative does not have to pretend to present a perfect picture--it only needs to give at least one plausible account of all of the facts. Additional explanation of the narrative may be set apart in parentheses. The important condition to the challenge, however, is that not one single biblical detail be omitted. Fair enough?" um, yeah..these aren't actual "contradictions" as i was meaning. The thing about this is that each one of these are just accounts from different people. They are bound to be a little different each, mostly just in the wording, and yet still there is really no contradiction as they all not only deliver the same message in the end, but are not inspired by the holy spirit, but rather MEN(aka HUMANS not being influenced by god on what to write(one of the very few times in the bible where they can put it in there own words)) I mean really? the point is it was in the morning as they knew it(they didn't use the 12 hour clock we do now, rather just sunset to sunset), and it could have still been dark when the women left and john saw them, and Luke may have only known that it was early in the morning(maybe he was just waking up, or wasn't up at the time), and mark said they arrived at the sepulchre at the rising of the sun, which would completely validate John's writing as they could have left when it was yet dark, and arrived at the tomb at the rising of the sun. simple. Much is also lost in different translations for they say different things and word things differently for different readers. Most of the cases posed are just plain word choice differences. Those that weren't can't be used as an example because again, these are what men themselves thought they saw. One can see something the other didn't, or see two sides of the same thing and disagree(the farmer and the two color hat story, don't remember what its called. Between the lions ftw). So it's not the word of god, there are contradictions, it's written by men who can be wrong. Thanks. It's people like you that twist the words of the Bible and make it seem as if it's meaning something else. But hey, you're right, THAT PART is not particularly the "word of God" the contradictions as you call them are only when people write their opinions, and things as they experienced it. 3 people can experience the same thing and recall from memory different things when it comes to specifics. The "word of God" part are the rules and "regulations" he has given us to follow and obey. Things that tell us how to live life, and the verses that were inspired by the holy spirit. Since the majority of the Bible is just that, and only a little bit normal mens accounts, we as people easily call the whole Bible the "word of God," it's just more convenient. i hope you understand now. I was talking about the different accounts of the disciples when i said they were bound to be a little different...they technically don't actually contradict because they don't state opposite things, just details of a general idea. The bible actually does this on purpose. It's like when crime scene investigators talk to different witnesses(who have no reason to lie)and use their stories, though from different points of view with different details, to piece together the story.

=D> yes, yes it is. unless someone's life is utterly changed by that "debate." though i doubt that will happen here...but you never know what innocent bystander is reading and finally sees "the light." :D

In saying that God is "as real as" some undoubtedly non-existent entity, it only serves to point out that neither entity actually exists. It says nothing about how many people believe in it, or its impact on humanity, etc. Some form of payment is expected in almost every theistic belief -- worship, money, sacrifice, etc. This certainly would be a waste if it was all for nothing. Atheism, on the other hand, does not expect any such payment. With atheism, your extra free time and money can be wasted on more valuable alternatives, such as sleep and television. That my friend depends on how you view it. Some [religious leaders] do in believe that it is all about money or sacrifice, but that is also incorrect. The bible says give freely and joyfully. After all, if you believe in God, then you know he created the gold that gives that paper you call money value, he created the sun and the moon to dictate time, and lastly, he created everything known to man. Besides, The Bible says that if you give, it is a testimony of your faith to God, and you will basically get back more money and be prosperous. Kind of like an investment of sorts. And trust and believe, i'd rather give money to the church so they can help feed the homeless and bring more people to Christ than use it to by irrelevant things that can only last and make you happy for so long. Feeling generally don't go away. the feeling i had going to that homeless shelter and seeing kids without a home right here in Columbus-i will never ever forget. Even if you're not Christian, things like that should tell you where priorities should be, and make you think just a little bit harder about what to do with your "treasure."
-
What about the possibility that you're wasting the only life you get worrying about what an imaginary man thinks of you? How would that be wasting anything? Besides, you brought up possibilities which speaks for itself. There is a possibility that you could be the wrong one and that you're "wasting" your only life being an atheist. Mhm, I think of it this way: If i am a believer, and live a good clean life, still have clean fun, and am still "rich" in my heart, and God turns out to be false and not true, what have i lost? Nothing! What have i gained? I still lived a good life. But if it is true, i have gained eternal life. On the other hand, if i am an (fill in the blank) and don't believe in God or Jesus, and they aren't true, what have i lost? nothing! What have i gained? I still lived a relatively good life(hopefully). And if God just so happens to turn out true,...then i have in fact gained nothing, and literally, lost eternity. Remember the old saying, better safe than sorry.

[hide=] [/hide] WOW. where to start. First of all, i removed some of your quotes to try to make this shorter. i just now figured to do the hide thing but oh well. First of all, can you blame your parents? I just for some reason cant believe that i am the descendant of a monkey that evolved into man, i dont know why... :| My major concern with it is the concept of "the big bang" starting the world as we have come to know it. Tell the truth, why would there be an explosion, in a completely placid space, for no reason? how would that even happen? scientists still cant answer that, and yet they accept it and take it as fact. How do they know we came from monkeys and such, just because they have opposable thumbs too? There systems are somewhat like ours so we must have come from them? I just can't see it, sorry. :wall: Lastly, about evolution...Darwin is credited as the father of it, but how did he actually know this before claiming it as fact? did you know he was actually raised as a christian? my thoughts are he probably created evolution and etc theories to vent his anger and frustration at the church. yes God made us, but he didn't put us on this earth to be tortured, and hurt on purpose and just to die; shall we not forget that the world was at first perfect and the way he wanted it to be. The human race messed up, and therefore we are where we are now. Now on the subject of hell...WOW!! so many people, especially, but not limited to, catholics, have the wrong idea of hell. The think as soon as you die, you either go to hell or heaven, that is just not the case. NOTHING in the bible validates this! yes hell is real, but it is not in effect at the moment. The bible says in Revelation(dont have time to pinpoint it now else i would) that when Jesus returns once again, the DEAD IN CHRIST shall rise first and be caught up in the clouds, then the living in Christ shall also be caught up right after. Notice that the dead that were not in Christ do NOT rise again(atleast not now) it is then that God takes his people to heaven(not when they die) and hell commences. Hell is actually fire from heaven that is unable to be put out and will burn everything(kinda like Sasuke/Itachi's amaterasu~~Naruto Buff here). The earth will be "cleansed" by this fire during a period of a thousand years. When this period is over, then New Jerusalem(where everyone has been living in heaven) shall come down to earth and everyone that had witnessed been killed by "hell" during the cleansing period will wake up one last time to see Jesus and realize the folly of their ways. as the Bible says, "every knee shall bend, ever head shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. God doesn't want to see us die, but at the same time, he can't just let everyone live in sin and not trusting or believing in him. So he gave the human race a simple yet complicated choice, follow me and live, or don't follow me and surely die. No one can make you go one way or the other, because God doesn't force anything, he'll push and hint and try to help you out, but in the end, it is ultimately your choice. He loves us, and sees our hardships, but if we trust in him, he will see us through. God will take you through hell, to get you to heaven(hell in this context is symbolizing hard times on earth)
-
OH hell no, i just happened to see this thread..idk how i miised this in the first place! First of all, there is no contradiction in the bible...PERIOD. see, in the old testament, if you bothered to read at all, two verses before, it explains (http://bible.cc/exodus/21-22.htm) that if men are "struggling" with each other and hurt a pregnant woman, and she has complications with her birth, then and only then do the next two verses matter. It says if she loses the child, then the man/mens life/lives should be taken to repay the lost life. and if the child can still be born, but is born with any sort of deformity, then what ever is missing/messed up shall be taken from the man that caused the complication. ie if the child is missing an eye, then the mans eye shall also be taken out. simple as that. luckily, though the US govt can EASILY do that, they'd rather jail time. Whereass in the new testament, it is simply talking about if someone does any sin unto you, you should turn the other cheek instead of retaliating. just like now, it is expected that you let the authorities and government deal with that. Simple, and easy peasy. dont get things mixed up and try to twist the bibles words. If you dont believe in god, thats your problem. Hell, if you feel we actually developed from monkeys, and some huge explosion made this world in the first place(destruction bringing about creation, thats the real contradiction) then be my guest. and lastly, god did infact give us freedom of choice, along with many other freedoms, after all, most the ones in the constitution were taken from the bible. Some people decide to infact torture others, and that is there choice, the government should protect us. At least back in biblical times, people knew if they killed someone, that was the end of their life too(kept them in check for the most part) Im not saying no1 murdered in that time, just that it cant be compared to now, with the type of government we now have...but hey, they do try to do their best, and thats really all you can ask. Just that when rulers were in touch with God, and didnt just make their own rules, things were better. I believe God does infact exist, After all, the bible is the oldest book that we still have in today's time, anyone wondering why? lolz \

Why do people keep tryna "rate" or "order" different capes. Any achievement cape is awesome. PERIOD. why we all say "this capes better than that," or "wow thats a noob cape" is just plain stupid. we all have our different opinions, and yes we can freely pick and choose our capes, but who should care if they have a cook cape and aluva sudden you think its lame or stupid. People go through different things which makes them want to get different capes. I personally just wanted ANY cape. i woulda gone for cooking but because all my friends said "its so nooby" i decided fm(a bit better in their opinion) now i know not to worry about all that bs, if you have a cape(any kind, be happy that you made it, and say f everyone else ffs). Thats all i have to say for now, because the way i see it, all these are just opinions, including mines. If you really wanna know which capes are better than which, then ask JAGEX and get them to TELL you. If any of you care anymore, IMO, quest cape may not beat all capes, but its well on its way there. Maybe not so much for current qc owners, but in a few years,(or maybe even just 1) if you're not well into quests already, it'll be a pain to get. I suggest everyone do a good amount of quests now so as to relieve themselves in the future.

I had finally decided to do the ghostly robes miniquest, after finally completing desert treasure. I also had a lvl 3 clue that was right next to the house in high level wildy (idr what it was called). I had no idea that was were the chaos elemental was...so i go with my usual 8 monks(every wildy trip) and ahrims armour(idk why, i just like ahrims look), didnt like the hood though so i had slayer helm(took forever to get) and dboots and barrows gloves. ofcourse my whip and tok shield(never leave without the shield, now i know to just use a rune defender. i go to ardy, use the tele lever, slash the web, and make my way to the tower. while running ther, something just pops up out of nowhere and attacks me!! I knew it wasnt a rev because they woulda maged me first and i would have recognized the sound(always turn up the sound when in wildy or peng hunting). so my first reaction was actually to fight it and see what would happen. Auto retal made me attack him, and as i move my mouse across it, it says chaos elemental and im like WTF?? no way? i remember a friend of mines saying he can solo it easy peasy...i think "maybe i can too". that idea instantly went away as soon as i saw the 24, then 20, then alluva sudden my whip, shield, helm, and ahrims are in my invo...i was like no f-in way!! I start to run, and a rev ork atts me! i couldnt believe that either. i get into the house finally though and run up the stairs, the ork doesnt follow! i thought i was safe. i get my ghostly robes, and proceed to go do the clue real quick. to be smart i hop worlds so as to not run into the rev again. i go back down stairs, run to the side i thought was right for the clue, only to realize it wasnt. I switch tabs to tip.it and look at the picture again, realizing i was wrong and now knowing where to go, i switch back to rs. as soon as i do, i hear the sound of a rev att. I was like oh [snap] and tried to run, only to find i was already frozen!! i was so scared i damn near fainted! instantly had to use two more monks, i wasted 4 on the elemental before i ran from it and now i had two left. I got unfrozen and ran the hell outa there, didnt even bother to do the (now stupid)clue, i was extremely thankful that i wasnt teleblocked...i woulda just quit forever( :^o) i got back to ardy with only 10 hp left. now that i have black dhide, it shouldnt be much of a problem anymore. =) coincidentally, i hopped worlds again and went to do the clue, and found a rev again!! it was only a vampire though and posed little to no threat, so i was able to get my clue finished later on...it gave me the sara mitre in my sig, though it was worth next to nothing, even to me. Sorry it was so long, just thought i'd tell one of my many stories. I have an adventure for like every 2days im a member, something wierd/stupid/crazy/interesting/sad happens

I remember that show, it was a cartoon that ripped on anime  First of all, i think its because naruto is just sooo flippin awesome!! Second, you're so right, the english anime made the whole series sound lame. Thats why i stopped watching it around 140  and started with the newer subbed episodes \ ...since they were on like 240 at the time anywayz lolz. EDIT: oops, thought you were talking about naruto. But i remember Kappa Mikey too...i just never really understood it...made no sence tbh, but then again, almost nothing on nicktoons makes sense. I watched avatar on there till it finished...about the only awesome show they have. that and danny phantom...also pretty nice. and 3rd...omfg!! the newest manga was....AWESOME!! if you didnt read it yet...go here: http://www.narutocentral.com/manga.php?s=naruto&c=431  W000T naruto rules! :D

All i need is a 3a plate drop...and ima do the same thing to 99 mage!! thanks...this will be really really helpful in the future!!  \ \ -
ahh, i see, nice idea. I don't think it's so much that everyone needs to know, it's that they're curious about knowing. Jagex used to seem very overprotective about everything, now they decide to let profanity, albeit mild profanity, in the game. it really doesnt matter, if i was 10 and wanted to play ANY game, i would. Same if i was 20 or 70 for that matter ffs. D-Xbow...interesting ideas tbh. i liked the 2nd one best, the 3rd just seems like overkill. i also finally decided to put all of my replies on one "reply"...lolz, im kinda proud of myself for thinking about that, although the number of posts i have doesnt go up. :| I'm pretty sure its when you farm on a pvp world with farming gloves on...gives you way more crazy exp which is good for hard long skills like farming. especially since u can just log out till it grows and come back later for it w/o really putting yourself in any danger.
-
dude totally!! i love the slayer one especially...but wouldnt that kinda be like the fury which is already a dragonstone ammy? i personally want the pickaxe, its bout time i get back to mining anywayz and if they make a dragon defender, i wonder what the str bonus would be...would they match or go over the dfs +7 bonus? idk...
-
not again :|    DRAGON DRAGON lolz

That would be awesome!!!! Even though I have a qp cape, I think skill capes are better. While qp capes are harder, skill capes have more diverse emotes. SO. :P true, a better emote would have been much loved. hopefully the diary cape wont dissapoint
-
I totally agree with you. It depends on which skill you are choosing. Slayer takes a long time, and there is no way to speed it up, besides killing the monsters that give 5k slayer xp, and even then, they are few and only give it once, which still means it won't make slayer faster to train. Cooking and fletching are both cheap and easy to get (I don't like fletching, which is obvious from my level of 60. and my cooking is 70) some skills are big fat money holes, like construction, although it does have many cool features, and extremely useful ones as well. On the other hand, the quest cape is harder in a different way. It gets constant new updates, meaning that your quest cape will not be wearable forever once you get it, as a new quest will come out within the next month. Also, it requires you to train skills you would not have trained normally, and to some high levels (65 herblore and farming is decently high, considering that herblore is relatively slow and expensive, and farming is the same, except you can go do what you want while the plant grows) Overall, I say the quest cape is harder to get, as some quests require decent levels in skills you may not train to those levels (65 herblore and farming for me) and I htink the quest cape will be trimmable (is that a word lol) when the achievement diary cape is released, most likely once there are 8-10 diaries. we currently have Varrock, karmaja, falador, lumbridge, Fremmy, and this month Serrs village, which means 6 after seers comes out. so as I said, I vote for quest, as it gets constant updates, and it requires training some lesser used or trained skills by quite a few people to be reasonably higher leveled. I will say that some skills (slayer and summoning) are probably as hard in some ways, but because of the constant updates of quests, the Quest cape will be harder and harder to obtain. and sorry i got of track every now and then up above lol  =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> couldnt have said it better myself

That's not entirely true, as Runescape is rated for 13+ players. Sure, the puzzles may not be rubix cube difficulty, but they do tease your mind. As an owner of the quest cape, I have to say the only time I have a great amount of pride in my cape is the day or two after a new quest comes out, before any written guide has been released. OT: I view the quest cape as a separate achievement from skillcapes. As A Local Guy was saying, it's difficult to compare them, as they require two very different objectives. Skillcapes show your dedication to a skill, whereas the quest cape shows your dedication to delve deeper into the game than most ever do. They all deserve the same amount of respect, regardless of what cape it is. yes, yes they ALL do...the keyword here is ALL...be it cooking or slayer...get over it. =P

Same could be said. Skillcape: Woot I work hard for my skill. Quest Cape: I read guides all day long. oh thats bull for you to even say that...again, even with the guides, the work you have to put in is still there...its just not boring work like grinding to get 99, that doesnt make it easier cuz its still work =P Quest capes rule, and one day, when i have enough money to get some skills higher(69 smithing) i might actually go for a quest cape =P
