My job doesn't pay particularly well (I'm still unsure if I'm going to fight for a raise after we add this major feature; I'll lose SSDI but should keep Medicare, and if I lose my job well oops that sucks; but tbh I make the equivalent of $20/hour part time with job + SSDI which is pretty good considering in my area so I'm still debating it). It's just I had a complicated tax situation (four sources of income throughout the year) and wasn't sure I did the proper stuff. I added a title screen: It spins around like Yoshi's Island... Looks pretty good IMO. When you click it'll pop up with a menu that has your save files, a gear button (to access settings), and a "New Game" button. When I finished all that I'm going to add a launcher next. It'll be a C# app that queries my website for the latest build and downloads it, provides access to the command line options (enable debug mode & disable anaytics mostly), shows patch notes, and whatever else in the future. The launcher will also update itself, too. Also have to buy an expensive code signing cert prior to launching the demo to supress any "THIS APP IS DANGEROUS, SMARTSCREEN IS LOVE, SMARTSCREEN IS LIFE" messages on Windows 10. Such a racket. edit: ooh fancy Now to work on the launcher.

I'm trying to get a hold of someone I knew (we'll call him K1), and have gotten a hold of someone I know (ex-coworker from my new job), for advice re: gender dysphoria. I didn't expect K1 to respond to my initial text but he did (we dated in the past), so I'm hoping he gets back to my actual question. I see my therapist and I'll bring it up again. We only briefly talked about it in the past, when it was only a minor problem. edit: also sorry if I sounded confrontational recently I've been a in a bad place with depression for some reason. I don't get why I have these slow mood swings (basically 3-4 weeks long)--it's not a symptom of schizophrenia, but delusions/hallucinations aren't a symptom of bipolar either. Seems like I've hit a manic spot right now, but it could be a temporary blip in the depression. Who knows. (Secretly I love the mania if it doesn't come with depression or other negative emotions; I get so much done in those few weeks it's insane.)

I only owed $12 in federal taxes. I think I did that pretty well. I was worried I'd owe a lot more because of having two jobs / freelance work / social security. Nice.

But surely there's other ways than touching? I think the only other way is simply being verbally upfront/direct, which is generally more difficult and less effective. Why are you so averse to masculinity? I'm non-binary. I don't identify as male. Conversely I don't identify as female, and don't want to appear as female, either; hence being androgynous my desire, even if it's not possible. It's a minor case of gender dysphoria I suppose. I really don't expect someone whose cis-gendered to fully understand because even I don't fully understand why I feel this way. I'm always going to be unhappy with how I look so I might as well as present masculine (and I do look better when I present masculine, from a third-person sort of way; I personally hate it). Like when I'm depressed I think I might as well do something and be productive since I'll be depressed anyway. And lately I've been /very depressed/, but I'm still acing school and the best programmer at my job and working on my game and ...

I'm not. I just don't prioritize sex in relationships over other things. Sex/sexual attraction is like 4th if I'm being honest. Yes, it's important, but I literally wouldn't go past the first date if I find the other things aren't there. The three things I value above sex (not in any order): political/social/moral/religious views aligned; we have some shared hobbies; intelligence and ambition. There's only one person I dated that hit all four, but he didn't feel the same. And that's been nagging at me for a year now. 1. I'm frustrated about my lack of success with either gender. I've been on dates with women (60/40 men/women generally), but it's really been no different than my dates with men. 2. I'm frustrated that I'm not masculine or androgynous. (This is sort of related). I hate how I look but my desired image (120 lbs scrawny effeminate person) is unhealthy, and I hate the idea of looking masculine. But objectively I look better when I present masculine which I hate. 3. Your description is wrong and makes me sound like I'm an incel.

We went out with drinks tonight with her friends. Had a good time. Danced, talked, and thumb wrestled (lol). She's in the military which helps explain her weird texting schedule (imo; reception on base is spotty & she won't be checking her phone depending on what she's doing, lease that's how it's been with the few military peeps I've dated). There was hugging and stuff so I think I followed the "touch is good" rule pretty well (especially with the thumb wresting LOL). I'm working on adding analytics to my game... Unfortunately, most analytic solutions aren't quite suitable for the data I'm trying to collect. So I'm creating my own analytics framework. I'm going to ensure integrity by having the client send a challenge with the analytics. The challenge will be some in-game data built upon the actions performed by the player. If the challenge fails to validate, I'll discard the analytics for that user. I doubt someone is going to spend the time to write a bot to spoof my analytics but you never know.

Ok pretext I'm slightly drunk, but I danced with a few girls and got a girl's number today. Unfortunately I think she's a lesbian and she thinks I'm gay. Dancing was a bit awkward, I don't know how to dance with girls. I don't want to be too forward. But I saw some guys being /real/ forward so I'm confused. Thank you! There's a lot of cute things about the dungeon I couldn't show off or may have not been clear. If you eat from the tables, the food vanishes. The kitchen staff will replenish the tables when you eat from them. If you kill the staff trying to clean the table, another will attempt to do so (until you kill them all). The chefs are also stronger than the warriors/wizards/skeletons, too, as a sort of joke. The ghost torch puzzle makes a few references to the song "No Light, No Light" by Florence + The Machine. The ghost's examine is "He wants a revelation, some kind of resolution." and he says "No light, no light!" when you light the first torch. There's an Alice character that spawns where ever a chest mimic may spawn. It's a jab at the MTX in RuneScape with Alice from Treasure Hunter (the replacement to the Squeal of Fortune for those who haven't played in a while). The mimic kills her if it spawns. Mimics randomly spawn, but some may be generous and offer a large amount of coin for your items and offer you some good stuff (rare) or be mean and offer you pennies and charge exorbitant prices (common). They will also let you access your bank... for a fee. ... @Hedgehog, I updated the Love2D thread with the latest version + new screenies.
