Israel vs Palestine
You misunderstand, I was never implying that Palestinians haven't committed acts of terror. Neither side can claim total moral superiority; but you said, "Israeli soldiers only kill when they are threatened." As per my previous posts, THAT IS A LIE. Oh, and thanks for taking all of my evidence out of my post when you quoted it, we wouldn't want anything like an honest debate here or anything

Pking this is what it has become?
I don't see how it's different than any other form of close player interaction. Which is why you do things that don't require player interaction.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
I'll be the first to admit that the first two episodes aren't that great, and they aren't really representative of the show either (It hinted at a larger overarching plot, but the rest of the show is totally episodic). If you don't believe that it's superior to other tv shows aimed at little girls, I dare you to watch any episode of My Little Pony prior to this season :P . I'm not denying that it's a show targeted to little girls, I will admit that any day of the week; why does that mean I have to dislike it automatically? Just because media is aimed at one age demographic that doesn't mean it will insult the intelligence of others.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Generally fans will cite 4 reasons: good writing, good characterization, spectacular animation, and that its producer Lauren Faust has a very good track record with making animated children's shows. While she did not anticipate the fanbase that has exploded on the web, she did create the series to appeal both to its intended younger female audience and those who might be watching with them (Like say, an older sibling, or a parent). Thus it's above the typical girl's show ghetto effect where all the characters are bland and the conflicts are nonexistent; if you have the opportunity give it a shot, I will not reprimand you for not liking it, I just hope that you give it an earnest chance.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
okay that's it, [bleep] everything about this show. Yeah, I haven't seen this show (and won't be able to, due to my 10gb internet limit). I've wtf'd like 50 times a page on this thread, because I can't tell if you people are kidding. This post has been one of my biggest wtfs in a long time. (Not yours, pie, the quoted post) Once again, this image does help to explain it somewhat. If you're still confused, uninterested, or even a little creeped out that's fine, we bronies just ask that you treat us with some respect.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
No problem, actually you got me to look at the rest of their stuff; I'd seen some of it before but I like his writing and drawing style  Anyone have any favorite artists, writers, or pony blogs they'd like to post and share?

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
I remember seeing that blog at one point back when episodes were airing and the fanbase was kicking off, and I wanted to look at it again but forgot to bookmark it. Now I can't find it. Does anyone have a link? Wait, hang on...mane cast... ah dear... Here's the blog I was talking about, though it was featured here on Equestria Daily. And you always need more pony double entendres, always. Also, I can't help myself, when I saw this I squeaked a little: Luna/Celestia Pic (I don't know how the fanbase has made Luna such a staple when she's only been animated for a minute or two at most, but I love her so I shouldn't complain <3: )

14-Jun-2011 - Troll Invasion
Takes a bit to get used to, but it was kinda fun. 2 things I'd change though: more clearly mark where the path begins, and make it so that the disease trolls don't wander aimlessly where you can't melee him without getting pummeled. Other than that I can't really complain much, it got me 73 rc so I ain't even mad.

Illegal Immigration in the US
The debate over whether there is any correlation between immigration policy and the fortunes of American workers is in fact an open one. And according to Pia Orrenius, the senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the major question among most economists is actually why the impact of the nation's estimated 12 million illegal immigrants on the labor market is so small. Given that the topic of the economic impact of immigration is so politically charged, scores of studies have been ordered on the subject. The widely-shared consensus holds that for every 10 percent increase in the share of foreign-born workers in a specific area there's less than 1 percent change in the average wages of legal residents, including for low-skilled workers, says Orrenius. (Wages are used as the economic metric for employment in the U.S.) Source. Also, on a more personal note, being "disgusted" by how many of "them" we let in sounds pretty damn xenophobic.

National ID in America
Non-citizens in this country do pay taxes as well, in fact illegal immigrants paid more in federal taxes than GE.

Like others have said multiple times, you do not need a #SS to get a job. I have been saying that too, even cited the law saying that it would be a felony for them to force you to disclose it. Then don't assume that they'll steal #SS numbers.

Illegal Immigration in the US
Wut How many taffic signs/street signs/etc. are in Spanish/koren/Chinese/French/etc. in America. If you want to learn American laws and interact with the land you need to know English even though it isnt the "official" language. Also how are you going to cite American laws at the DMV to not have to give your SS# if you cant communicate the laws in English [also I doubt you could find them translated into spanish anyways] Doesn't mean it's a due or obligation to learn English. Although it doesn't really matter that much because immigrants tend to speak at least a little English, if not able to speak fairly well. You are if you want to illegally immigrate and want some level of success and wealth in your new country. If I illegally immagrated to Canada I would know all the remedies in their laws to allow me to access things without having to get whatever their equivelent of a SS# is. If it was France I would learn French and do the same thing. Also if someone doesnt want to go through that trouble then they are obligated to go through the process to get in legally. Otherwise I suppose their deporation. And I'm sure you can research all of their laws and their native language extensively because you have a computer and internet connection, not everyone has that luxury.

National ID in America
Economic problems really are not much of an issue in this case because, put simply, such IDs already exist. The only difference is that as it stands today there are 51 different issuing organizations rather then just 1. Indeed, it would likely be cheaper to have just one identification system due to economies of scale yielding substantial efficiencies in the administration of the program. While economies of scale would probably play a significant factor, the insane amount of paperwork and bureaucracy needed to traverse federal and the various state requirements would probably also cause many problems. I'm not qualified to say which factor will overpower the other by any means, but considering the size and complexity of legal structures in America it's not an insignificant factor.

100% of illegal immigrants who drive don't have licenses and insurance MOST citizens have licenses and insurance don't get me wrong, i don't care about america's declining society, i don't live there. but your argument is just a spin. just because it's already bad, doesn't make sense that's it's okay to make things worse And that's where you go wrong, illegal immigrants can, legally (Perhaps depending on the state), obtain car insurance and a license. Therefore your argument is invalid.

Also how are you going to cite American laws at the DMV to not have to give your SS# if you cant communicate the laws in English [also I doubt you could find them translated into spanish anyways] You know, most countries have traffic signs and common documents in more than one language, it comes with the territory of living in a global society. Honestly, most developed nations see learning a second language as a necessity to being a citizen, it's a two way street. Besides, it's not like every single immigrant never learns english, there are many that put it off and get by on bits and pieces but there are also many that put effort into learning english, but they need time to transition. And there have been laws presented to try and get all legal documents translated into spanish, but they're always shot down by the xenophobic isolationist segment of our society and their representatives in the government.

Illegal Immigration in the US
so because don't drive without insurance, illegal immigrants get a pass? No, but you're saying that the reason illegal immigrants should be discriminated against more than legal citizens is because illegals do more destabilizing/leeching than legal citizens, when that is not always the case as presented here.

Illegal Immigration in the US
so \because there's a loophole where GE doesn't have to pay taxes, illegal immigration should be allowed? You're missing the forests for the trees. What the tax argument is about is trying to convey that illegal immigrants do contribute to our society, often more so than entities which originated in America, and so the stereotypes about illegal immigrants and opposition to illegal immigration is rooted in erroneous beliefs.

Illegal Immigration in the US
See my above post about illegals paying more in taxes than ge. Besides, most of those problems happen because immigration procedure is such a hampering process, if it was easier then the immigrants wouldn't be as destabilizing as people presume they are. legal citizens pay more taxes than illegals and GE *employs* people who in turn pay taxes . immigration *is* supposed to be a hampering process. governments want healthy individuals who can contribute to society, not someone who mows lawns. Mmmmmm, stereotyping, gotta love it. And I understand that it's supposed to take effort, but there's a point where the eligibility requirements become too strict to allow people who want a legitimate lifestyle to obtain one. Oh, and to the point about ge, apart from paying wages ge profited 14 billion dollars; and didn't pay a cent in taxes on it. THAT IS BAD. So, you're against illegal immigration because there are laws supporting undue discrimination against it which you admit are broken. You are allowed to protest laws that you believe to be unjust or dysfunctional...
