  1. The fact that it's so difficult to properly gift surprise items for people. How do I ask someone their size without asking them their size?

I do? Do tell. Actually, I do think freedom of speech could stand to be tightened a bit to reduce deliberate (corporate) misinformation, especially in the food industry where they have in effect legalized bribing scientists to say anything about the health benefits of your food with absolutely no need for verification (this is in the US). I think it's best summarized as 'Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism'.
  3. It's funny, because I see that the problem is worse the other way round. If a friend had asked for money, you're almost forced to acquiesce to protect a valued friendship, which could be seen as exploitative/abusive - although it's arguable since friends are supposed to be understanding. If it was someone who had no relationship with you, the rejection would have no social repercussions, and as such - does not hinder game-play. It's disrespectful and naive - but it wouldn't stop me from enjoying the game as it's separate from the game altogether.
  4. the structure on rsof is very limited and you cut out half the readers if you use a word longer than 7 letters, may edit my tif later. Also while these issues are not new, I remember scammers in 2006, it is just much more a problem today with every bank and the ge holding host to the now familiar hot/cold games, and someone selling a toy horse. I'm not suggesting that it requires advanced terminology, unlike our Times articles - I'm just telling you that the bullet point structure you had written in didn't deliver the message as well as you had supposedly intended to - it clearly lacked precision. If you're going to write anything like this again, I'd suggest concluding your thoughts on your paragraphs as to not leave the reader puzzled. As Omali has noted, much of the begging/entitlement issues is far beyond RuneScape - it's a social/cultural issue. I don't understand how it makes game-play so much more unenjoyable though - care to explain?
  5. Could you restructure it so its actually worth reading? It looks like broken paragraphs of a repetitious rant on begging to me.
  6. I don't give much merit to those who believe in epileptic trees. It just doesn't follow
  7. Is it obligatory to post in the thread if viewed, or could it be skipped? It should be in the subject description for easy access. Bini
  8. Banned for assuming that I assumed that your use of the term 'assume' was used as a reference to my display name. It was in fact a remark against assumptions in general.
  9. Banned for self pitying. Just no.
  10. Banned for attempting to win sympathy. I'm not sympathetic for you - there's nothing to be sympathetic about - you've brought it on yourself. EDIT - banned for getting in the way.
  11. I'm not a kid and I've got quite a few years under my belt. I've been playing rs for a long, long time and hace seen plenty of jagex's Easter eggs and I don't believe it was coincidence they put this one in at a time like this. Now I'm sure you might think so. We don't need your unwarranted, and frankly what seems to be disparaging responses. Did anyone even call you a child in the first place? It's not going to surprise me if they did though, since you're acting that way, but I digress. Easter Eggs are put in for laughs - for recreation, so why must you assume that they must be for some nefarious purpose, or with some underlying meaning?
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz2-ukrd2VQ EDIT - Oh cool, the guy with the broken link decides to fix it.
  13. It would be categorized under questionnaires, or help and advice if not general discussion. Off-topic is anything that is NOT about RS.
  14. I thought the bots made a return - why is it at 0.78 I'm not sure. I wasn't even sure there was the demand for that price!

    >missing the point. I'm wondering if there's any legal ramifications to slaughtering and eating pets, if they happen to be crustaceans (e.g. pet lobster, crab, etc.) I don't want animal rights activists knocking on my door - you've seen what happens to people when they put cats in bins and stuff. It's a social sensitivity that I'd have to conform to because western societies have some unexplained affinity with animals that I just don't understand.

I'd have a small aquarium or something for the convenience of non-cleanup - it sounds like a plan. Pet lobster, just like in the Simpsons. I'd probably sound a little amoral here, but is it legal/otherwise permissible to eat a pet lobster? Oh, and I'll get piranhas or something as well to make it more... lively, or should I say, deadly? In other news, I've signed up for ClixResearch today - but some of the questions are awfully invasive though, e.g. 'What is your sexual orientation?' 'Do you wish to take part in intimate trials?'
  17. Banned for not rappin', with the audience clappin' at the ability to sing with your fingers snappin'. It's a gift from above that was sent by a dove, expressed with so much love. The aim of the game is to make the lyrics flow, to sing away your heart's woes - to maintain the status quo, yo. [/bad attempt at rapping]
  18. ... basically, I'm saying you are egoistic and you flatter yourself to maintain it. Banned for missing the point of the game.
  19. Banned for under-analysis of the term 'unnecessary'. It was a concise answer, was it not?
  20. Banned for self-cajolery, and perhaps self-worship.
  21. Banned for posting sophistry.

I don't think I'll take University accommodation simply because I have a personal dislike of the atmosphere. I'll be more likely to be in a studio flat or something.
  23. Banned for being blown away.
  24. Banned for having no idea of the fun I'm having right now ;D
