Are there any other ways besides nightshade to damage yourself?
tedbundty replied to tedbundty's topic in Help and Advice
Wow Zamorak Brews worked great and they're nice and cheap too. I'll definitely be using them from now on. If you use them for first 4 or 5 rounds that's fine because then your defence level is down to one so you get hit plenty (in fact so much that I had to wear armor and almost died twice lol). -

Just what I needed, thanks! I think I'll try zamorak brews. By the way this reminds me of like 3 years ago when i was doing the quest with chemical compound. I knew not to drop it cuz it damages you so I was being really careful but my hand slipped i ended up dropping it and killing myself and I lost all my armor because it was before longer grave update lol. -
Timewise, is it worth it to train with the Master Penance Horn?
tedbundty replied to tedbundty's topic in Help and Advice
Okay I'm up for it but you should know that I don't have lvl 5 in any role but I know well how the game works and I'm 136cb. Join my CC I guess so we can set it up. -
I'm so miserable right now because I need to train Agility FMing and Mining but I don't know whether or not it's worth charging the penance horn or not. I don't actually hate the mini game that much it's just that finding a good team is so annoying especially because everybody is always logging out. I would do it, though, if it was really worth it - so I'd like to know once and for all whether it is.

Why does Jagex make such a big fuss about bank space?
tedbundty replied to tedbundty's topic in General Discussion
How does this method work? I'm asking because I'm going to train there soon. If you can just link me to a post about it that would be fine. -
Why does Jagex make such a big fuss about bank space?
tedbundty replied to tedbundty's topic in General Discussion
Technical limitations. 1 extra bank space = 1 millisecond extra lagg. Okay well maybe not unlimited, then. But how about 100 extra bank slots? I don't see any reason why they can't give us that. -

Would it really be that big of a deal for them to give us members unlimited bank space? What are their reasons for not doing this? -
Not once in my life have I read a book on Runescape. How about you?

I just edited it today so that you can enter in custom buy and sell prices (i.e. it doesn't have to be 2.5%).

My sister is leaving on thursday and, much to my despair, taking the ti 89 titanium calculator with her so basically I need to buy a new graphing calculator by then. I don't really want to buy another ti 89 titanium calculator because they're $130 at best. Anyway I see schnoop (a one deal a day site like woot.com) is selling these CASIO FX-7400G calcs for 16.99. Can somebody who knows about calculators check out for me (here's the link) and tell me if it would be sufficient for my Calculus homework? I need to be able to do stuff like logarithms, finding zeros, min, max of a graph and all that kind of stuff. My guess is that it isn't good enough but I figured it'd be worth checking since I'd be saving a lot of $ if it was. If it isn't, can any of you recommend a calculator that works like a Ti 89 titanium but is a lot cheaper?

Are there any web browsers that have Java built it?
tedbundty replied to tedbundty's topic in Tech and Computers
Yes but I prefer to keep all my programs on my flash drive if possible. That way I just plug it into any computer and don't have to download any stuff cuz it's all there. Plus I don't always have administrator rights (meaning I can't install programs) on computers I use. -

Hmm I tried firefox 4.0 beta (portable version) and it didn't work for me - at least not on this computer. It asked me to install a plugin and then it said there was an error. -

Oh, sweet! Thanks. I won't even have to switch browsers then (i already use firefox). If that doesn't work I'll try the rs client - i didn't realize that had java built in thanks for telling. -
Well I think the subject says it all. If there is no browser, is there at least a small linux distro that does?

I need to get about 15gb of mp3s and mp4s onto my flash drive. 7zip has a compression method that basically makes files a third of the size. Is there anything i should be wary of before doing this? Like will it make the songs not sound as good or anything?

I know the best way to make homemade mac and cheese, too. Maybe I'll make another thread about that when I get back on sunday. Edit: whoops I didn't mean to post twice. I'm used to another forum where it combines posts automatically if you post 2 in a row.

Well different brands of mac and cheese take different amounts of time. Just put it in for the same amount of time it says to boil the noodles in water.

I prefer the Kraft when I don't have any baked beans. But if I do have baked beans I like that mixed with the velveeta mac and cheese. I totally agree with you about the spongebob or pokemon ones being a lot better. They're more fun, too!
-
1. Dump the noodles into a microwave safe container. 2. Put in 1 and a half cups of water (per box). 3. Put lid on. 4. Microwave for 7-8 minutes. 5. All the water should boil out so you don't need to drain it. 6. Add cheese butter and milk as directed on your box of mac and cheese.

sorry having some technichal errors i didn't forsee. trying to fix. Edit: okay everything is fine now except if the item is more than one word the link won't work right (which isn't that big of a deal but I'll try to fix it).

Hey everybody. I made a new spreadsheet that will find 2.5% below and above the market price of any item on Runescape. The Buy and Sell prices also take into account how much the item rose or fell that day. If it rose 5gp the buy price will be 5gp less and vice versa. Sometimes the buy price is below Minimum price or the Sell price is above Maximum price. If this happens either don’t buy that day (because it means the item is either crashing or going up a lot) or buy at Minimum/Maximum price if you dare. Another note: If the item doesn’t buy instantly at Market Price that is often a sign to buy a bit above market price, regardless of what the Recommended Buy Price is. Here’s the link to the spreadsheet (a google docs link). Press the ‘edit this page button’ to begin. P.S. If you guys have no idea why finding these numbers is useful, see my Beginners Merchanting Guide (link is in signature below) and/or this guy's . Edit: This spreadsheet was having some technical difficulties on the first day but everything is fixed and working well now. It has also been improved greatly since first release.

Why Some items are crashing because of Treasure Trail update
tedbundty replied to tedbundty's topic in General Discussion
On the day Elite TTs were released you got much more items than you were supposed to from MTK Oh okay. Was it actually a glitch or did Jagex do it to get the items into the game quickly so TT items wouldn't be selling for like 1bil on the first day? By the way, what does MTK stand for?
