Working out topic
No, I don't think so. The only reason I can do so many pull-ups is probably because my arms are abnormally big, in comparison with my body. I've been doing the exercise since I was like 12, so I've just gotten good at it. When I add a backpack with like 12 kilograms, the number of pull ups drops to 15--So it's all probably just about my unusual arm/body ratio. EDIT: Now that my body weight has become stable (I've stopped growing), I guess these same old exercises just don't help anymore. Are you going all the way down and all the way up when you do pullups? I've seen many people claim to do X number of pull ups. They go upt to the bar and their ROM is ridiculously small. They attempt to do dead hang (go all the way down) and the number decreases dramatically.

I don't see how one would affect the other as they focus different muscle groups. Pull ups focus back muscles and biceps, push ups focus chest and triceps.

Do You Support Capital Punishment?
Well what gives the executioner the ability to kill? What about the family of the person being killed? Shouldn't the justice system be for justice and possible rehabilitation, not revenge? Just playign devil's advocate here. Like I said before I think there's a lot of good argumnets for or against, I really don't know.

The Tooth Incident!
I'm getting tired of "if this was created by a by a regular person it would be" shut the [bleep] up. It's not locked so deal with it. Plus, you dont have to get it.

Do You Support Capital Punishment?
I really don't know. There are many pros and cons to yes and no. I suppose it depends on the conditions..

The Tooth Incident!
I don't get it, at all.. If it was created by a regular joe user I'm sure it would have been locked :|

What's your New Year's Resolution?
I don't have one. In my opinion and experience, it is just a trendy thing to do and or say that you have some cool new resolution for the year when everyone knows damn well that you won't stick to it for more than twto weeks. Aiming to better yourself shouldn't happen just because it is a new year.

Wine and alchohol discussion
I don't like the taste of wine and in fact, I don't like alcoholic drinks very much at all. It being an "acquired taste" is not a valid argument in my case. I'm half French, grew up there for a good part of my life and go back every summer, so, I've had plenty of exposure to wine and alcohol served at the "aperitif." The only alcoholic drink that I've tried so far that I don't actually dislike is beer, but I can't also say that I actually "like" it, and yes I've had my share of beers over the years. Even though I don't approve of getting drunk, I honestly don't see the point in drinking alcohol unless you plan on getting [cabbage] faced or at least get a good buzz going on, other than if you truly do enjoy the taste, but then again most people don't or else they wouldn't mix all their drinks with juice and soda and whatever else they put in.

Why is sex* bad?
To the people just looking for another way to blame religion, and don't say I'm biased because I'm atheist and think organized religion is a sham, how do you explain the other cultures around the wolrd who wore clothes for thousands of years before even coming into contact with Christians (since it seems to be the religion being blamed here) There are plenty of logical reasons why wearing clothes is advantageous over not wearing clothes. If you want to walk around naked you can do so at home or go live in a nudist colony. I'm willing to bet you'd be dissgusted if you sawmy hairy crack and balls as I'm walking naked down the street, no matter how free spirited you are.

I WANT YOU...TO CHANGE THE PARTY ROOM! ~ 14/50 Supporters ~
Familiars should be disabled for sure. Party room should also be accessed via teleport, that way any person/npc/familiar outside won't contribute to lag. I don't think there should be a cap for the amount of people allowed in but if it is requried it should be relative to the value of items being dropped with more valuable drops allowing a lot more people in than less valuable drops.

Tip.It Times Present: Double Feature!
I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that I did not like this article, especially the dragon items one. In fact, I feel the quality of the tip.it times has been continuously decreasing. I don't need a tip.it times article to read someone brag about how many dragon drops they've had on Runescape, besides there were many spelling and grammar mistakes which shouldn't have appeared. This article was definitely rushed.

If you could have ANYTHING...(3 catagories)
item: most expensive item available (don't keep track of that type of stuff) Level: 99 summoning because I hate leveling it and it isn't exactly free Quest: whichever quest comes out next since I've completed all the current ones

Slayer and Duradel tasks
Yes it can. Assignments are given at random, so the possibility that you get the same task after canceling is there. And with few slayer monsters to give it might happen a lot with Duradel/Lapalok/Disciple of the Devourer(whoever you like) . What the OP is trying to say that most people are not grasping is that if you cancel a task, it means you don't wan't to do it so it should be eliminated from the possible tasks for your next assignment, kind of like a 1 time task ban. If you cancel a task, you shoul dnot be getting the same task. Now, if you cancel it, get something else and then get the task you cancelled again, thats perfectly fair, you should have disabled it, but you really should not get a task you just cancelled as your next task, it completly defeats the point of cancelling. You cancel a task so you don't have to do it (ie you don't want that task now but you may wan't it another time in the future). What part of getting the exact same task after cancelling it helps. Its a waste of points, the cancel is doing nothing. Like I said, it should elimiate that task (that type of monster actualy) from the availible list of monsters for your next task (and only your next task). But what people are trying to show you is, this is nothing new, even with the smoking kills system. Here's a better example: OLD SYSTEM: 63 Black Demons 45 Iron Dragons (Skip with Burthrope) 20 Skeletons 32 Iron Dragons (Skip with Burthrope) 12 Monkeys 54 Iron Dragons NEW SYSTEM: 63 Black Demons 45 Iron Dragons (Cancel for 30 points) 32 Iron Dragons (Cancel for 30 points) 54 Iron Dragons The ONLY difference is that you don't have to do a burthrope task inbetween. The slayer system is not designed to let you block more than 4 monsters anytime you want if you have the points, otherwise we'd have more than 4 slots. Its only designed to reshuffle your task and hope you get a different one. So this is nothing new, the only difference is your using points, rather than doing a meaningless task like skeletons. We had the same exact chances before as we do now, to be re-assigned a task a task after canceling it (either by burthrope or slayer points), the only difference is with the points you don't do a task inbetween. So no, this is the way its supposed to be, because it hasn't changed from how it was originally.. I don't see why that's an issue. You can still burthrope assignments, so cancelling tasks isn't a replacement it is just a new (and better) option. Besides, you said it yourself, when you Burthrope an assignment you get a new task so it makes perfect sense that the next task could be the task you originally Burthroped. I don't really see why you talked about blocking tasks because this topic is about cancelling tasks. It is completely irrelevent. I'm pretty sure no one is thinking that cancelling tasks is a viable means to "block" a monster. Cancelling a task should mean that for whatever reason you don't want to or can't do a specific monster now so choose to do another task instead.

Yes it can. Assignments are given at random, so the possibility that you get the same task after canceling is there. And with few slayer monsters to give it might happen a lot with Duradel/Lapalok/Disciple of the Devourer(whoever you like) . That's not the point at all. While it makes sense, given the way slayer monsters are assigned, that it can happen, it doesn't make sense that it should happen, if you follow me. If you pay to cancel an assignment meaning you do not want to and will not (since it is cancelled) do the current task, it doesn't make sense that the next task (or same task if you look at it in the way of the task cancelled not counting) should be the same monster you just paid to cancel.

Slayer and Duradel tasks
I think everyone in this thread is completely missing the pointt he OP was making. He was complaining that he cancelled a task got a new one and it was the same monster he just cancelled. Logically, it shouldn't happen. He is not asking whether black demons are good or not and he is not complaining that it is possible to get the same moster several times in a row. Like I said, he is saying that after cancelling a monster logically the next monster should not be the monster you just cancelled. Maybe it is not a bug, but it sure as hell doesn't make much sense.

8 years
Been around seven and a half years for me.I still remember the first time I played and the several other attempts I made thereafter before finally "getting into it." I have so many fond memories of "rsc" I could probably fill out a small book. It is ridiculous how much Runescape has influenced my life, even though I didn't constantly play for those years I can't begin to imagine how different my life would be had a member of my Age of Empires 2 clan not shown me this game. To this day whenever I hear old linkin park songs I just picture my runescape character with a blue shirt and white shorts walking around near falador or varrock because at the time that was what I almost always listened to while playing runescape. I don't mean to sound like one of those "I started before you, I'm bettert han you" people.. but people who started in 2003 or later and especially those who started with rs2 really have absolutely no idea what they missed.

Abbydog95's Ultimate Abyssal Demon Camping Guide [update]
I'm sorry (ok, I'm not) but this guide is pointless. Why would you be using a bunyip and guthans at the same time? Abyssal demons really are not a complicated or difficult monster to deal with at all. Theya re easily handled much in the same way as the rest of the melee monsters in the game who don't have a secondary attack. This "guide" is a waste of space and time. No one needs a guide to figure out how to go with guthan's or a bunyip.

Communism - Yea or Nay?
No, charity to the less fortunate should come from the heart not because a government forces you.

How did you come across runescape?
Used to be in a clan on the msn gaming zone for Age of Empires 2. One day I don't remember the conversation or circumstances but one of the members showed me RS I started playing and he helped me out a bit he was probably around level 50 or even 60. I got another member of the clan to start playing with us. Eventually they both stopped playing but I kept on playing. I have so many fond memories of my early rs days..

Your top 5 monsters. [LOCK PLEASE]
I like (not sure if there's any order) 1- greater demons. I'm not sure why, possibly because back when I started rsc they were the strongest monster at the demon's house in the wilderness. I remember going there standing at awe at the high levels slaying these huge beasts. 2- non metal dragons- for some reason I just love getting a task of non metal dragons, just something cool about killing them. 3- mutated bloodvelds- great cannoning spot and I think I only ever saw one other person there in all the times I've went 4- chaos dwarves- I don't fight these at all anymore but I remember fighting them a lot in rsc. The muddy key was always something fun to do. 5- dust devils- they're pretty easy to train on and have good drops and there's always that chance of a chain I dislike 1- gargoyles- terrible drops and annoying to kill 2- black demons- back in the rsc days these might have been in my favorites but lately 7/10 of my slayer tasks are black demons. I've been ranging them in chaos tunnels but I think I'll go back to the pre-summoning days of cannoning them in taverly because I just cannot stand having to range them for hours anymore 3- regular bloodvelds- always crowded, annoying to kill, terrible drops 4- skeletal wyverns- I did several tasks of them and there was just something about them I disliked, they're now on the "don't assign" list 5- hellhounds- don't drop jack, take long to kill, don't have lots of locations and just suck.

Would you trust this doctor to perform surgery on your foot?
So I'm supposed to be getting my foot operated on. I called the insurance company to make sure it would be covered and they couldn't tell me unless I told them exactlyw hat they were going to do. I called the surgery center, the lady pulls up my file and she starts reading it off to me. "Left toe blabla" Left .." I interrupt her and ask "What do you mean 'left'? it is my right foot that we're supposed to operate :?: " Now if he can't do something as simple as knowing the difference of left from right how can I trust him to perform surgery on my foot and toes? :?

Please rethink your life.

dads on runescape
 Anyone else HATE when some idiots come along and try to act like the grammar and spelling police while their own posts are full of mistakes? Gawd I can't stand it, but it does provide some luls so I dunno  If I ever went around correcting people for mistakes in their post I'd first make sure mine are perfect.
